I noticed you have that thing cranked up...I usually leave mine on three for the whole session...I'm starting to appreceiate the lower temp vaping.

i do enjoy the flavor of low temp hit, but dam it will take me forever to get baked. seriously i need 4-5 stems to start feelin medicated.

i think it could be worth it to wait for new stem. i modded this one to improve the airflow. if i didn't it would feel like a milkshake draw.

just got my unit and man this thing is small :o (in a good way)! I have read how surprised people were at unboxing and thought I was prepared, but I was still shocked... I have read different opinions but hope to get a concrete answer on a few battery questions;

1) Do I need to fully charge the unit at unboxing?
2) I should try to leave it plugged in when not in use, being sure to store it at 60%-80% (not full) if it will not be used for a few weeks, correct?
3) Try to avoid fully draining the unit, correct?

Any other battery tips? TIA Looking forward to that first stem!

So I know this has been discussed before but what do you guys think about running the solo through a tube into glass vs the extreme q? I have the q but am thinking for portablility I should go solo?

a solo is a good choice if portability is any factor. just remember to get some aftermarket stems. if you can wait the pax is coming out soon too and it looks like a winner too from what i've seen. i have one on pre-order.

Hm thought i already posted, hm for sure typed this out aldeady. Maybe its cause its my bday and im into a few bud heavies!

I plan on making the short stems for the solo dugout, just got the last piece of tooling, they sold the last one at home depot this morning so i had to go to lowes, oh and yall dont know how much i despise lowes! Might het a couple solo dugouts blanked out and put together the next couplea days.

Happy B-Day Ed! (Don't know if I had mentioned since I got them or not, but LOVE my Cocobolo and Granadillo stems--they didn't make it here for before my last vacation, but at least I had the PVHES ones and they were here when I got back :))

yes...tom was making short poly tubes for use with water tools. He called it the bullit tube and it was no more than an inch long.

Well, its official - just ordered my Solo! Happy to be part of the club. :D

(Side note - while I strive to support companies like PlanetVape/PuffItUp/etc that give so much to the FC community, I had quite a bit of money in Amazon gift cards and had to use it! Hola good FC colleagues.
I'm posting this ABV for letting you know, it's coming from my homemade Dremmel PV GonG stem modifications.

Full bore open stem,
Convex 2xSS screens instead :) (mod. that allows less or more loading material, 2x1lol :) aka shorty??? jajajja
On top of material there's a domed SS screen.
Of course my Solo SS heating chamber already has a domed SS screen, for more airflow, channels??? :) I don't need channels.
Cost of mods..... mmmm, if you have a Dremmel nothing :)

I too broke out a cheap dremel knock off and went to town on some stems. IMO trying to do the "micro channels" that pv does is not really worth it. But just four notches on the bottom and boom! Much better than stock. I do own a pvhes shorty and it pretty much hits the same with nice big flavorful cloudy hits. My gong will be next in line once my new glass shows up :)
