The staff here is generally pretty good at weeding out the shills. Believe it or not I've been called a shill for a product before despite suggesting many other products. Its a tough job but the staff does a good job.

Boy, I sure agree with you there. I don't know about other cases, but that time they were aces for sure. Very impressive, a good environment to exchange information in for sure.

I'm wondering if you have a dud OF, mine stands up on it's own, no problem, unplugged. The weight of the unit presses the connector into the sleeve, just enough for it to stand up. Not sure why yours won't...

Mine will sometimes, but with the (light) SV batteries and the (light) Revolution it's 'rocky' and easy to tip over. Right now I've got about 2 inches of 100 pound test fishing leader (about .040 inches in diameter) in the bottom of the tube and all sins have been forgiven. Next time at the hardware store I'm looking for a thinner o-ring than I have handy (.063 inches) which is a bit too thick. I'm also thinking of switching to a right angle connector and making some sort of stand for it. Sometime.

Continuing EDIT: I found longer on the heatup time, inhale for a bit then back off for just a second, and then repeat until bubbler is almost if not exactly as milked as my Underdog does at 12v. Nowhere near 13.5v...yet. Not bad for bowl 2 eh? :brow:

Go DR, go! You're just the right guy to shake it out. To say you can be demanding of your gear is a tall understatement IMO. "Give 'em hell, Harry!".
Hey guys,

I have a 3 day old T1 that suddenly stopped working. It was working fine the first 2 days for multiple bowls and on the 3rd day it does not heat up at all. I'm sure it's not user error as there's not much to it and it was working fine previously. There's no damage to anything and I'm using the original/included batteries/charger. I unscrewed the heating core (after it stopped working) to take a look and everything appears fine. I plan on going back to the store I purchased it at when I have time, but until then does anyone have any suggestions on troubleshooting?

Dollars to doughnuts it's the switch. A common problem early on. Screw the core in well, take the top off, remove the switch (pull it straight down) and the o-ring that holds it in the bore above. Then put the ring back first, reverse the switch to use the big end to push the ring to the bottom of the bore squarely, remove, invert and put the switch back in the right way. Screw the top back, should be good.

There are two heater elements in the core, the chances both blew at the same instant are in the same league as finding honest politicians. I won't say it can't happen, just nobody's ever seen it......

Likewise, two sets of bad batteries doesn't happen in the real world.

HTH.

thanks PB and OF for the responses. I just reseated the o-ring and switch multiple times and the core is screwed in as tight as can be and still no luck. Any other ideas?

You're welcome. Is the core all the way down, if you've had it out this can be an issue as the o-ring can hang it up. It has to screw down solidly on the shoulder near the threads or it's too short. Try removing the o-ring around it so it screws down easily. You can't run without it, but the core should heat.

Bummer. Sounds like you bought it locally so call them up and see if they will exchange it or else you can contact the company at sales@thermovape.com and let them know what's up and see about getting a heater core and/or switch sent to you and then send yours back to them. You can also play with it some more and see if you can get it working but don't stress yourself out over it or hurt your fingers from twisting so much. There is only so much you can do.

The core is screwed in tight with the rim of the core being completely flush with the lip of the body. I didn't remove the o-ring from the core because it's on there tight and I'm not 100% confident in not damaging it, but this sucker can't be screwed in any tighter.

edit:wow my iphone takes horrible close ups

Great Scott!
That limited edition TV has me jealous as shit :D

Wouldn't pay extra but its super cool. I suppose I have the "clean edition" no serial numbers.

Does anyone know if having no serial numbers means for sure you have the 2 piece interface that was replaced with the 1 piece? I know I did and got a replacement from TV, but my buddy just traded his solo for a T1 and its got no serial and is a tiny bit finicky. I'm assuming he has the 2 piece interface as well.

thought I would post this here as I see there are some TV people here, they havent responded to my emails.

im very interested in buying the revolution LV but the shipping is a deal breaker to the UK, but upon further inspection this will fit in a very small envelope and can be shipped as a letter, might help drive international sales up ?? but if anyone know of a uk seller let me know

I also think I may have a limited edition of the t1.. here's a (very bad) pic:

says Thermovape 2012 High Times San Francisco Cannabis Cup

Yea special edition!

It is very uncommon for a T1 core to completely fail, in fact i believe there has been only 1 or 2 that i know of. In most cases it is a switch issue or a battery, Both can be easily diagnosed.

Give us a call and we can run through it all with you.

International shipping is a common issue. You'll be happy to know it works both ways. A while back I bought some special pellets from the UK to try out. Ten pounds shipping on a nine and change buy. So I ordered 3 to offset the cost, 'you' sent it to me in 3 packages......and charged my Visa accordingly.

Sorry, per US regulations it can't go as a letter (too thick and heavy), but can go by other classes.....at high cost. My advice is to research from your end and ask them to ship a specific way, I'm sure they will do that. The sad part is shipping like that costs a lot in today's world. TV is not 'making any money' on that part for sure and they would quickly jump to a system that saves their customers money.

OTOH if you want cheap shipping look at Hong Kong......

Perhaps someday there will be a UK or EU dealer? Or maybe you can set up a 'group buy'?

Best regards,

I got my ThermoVape yesterday, and it is great! Instant thick hits from the beginning that taste great! However, the batteries somewhat wobble inside (anything known to fix that?). Also, does anyone know of a good carrying case for just the ThermoVape? Nothing too bulky...

Thanks again for all the information.
I think I found the perfect vape for me. :)

It is a 510 thread so will screw into any device with that thread.
If voltage is correct it will work. However, the heat build up tends to be hard on most devices. There are many "ecig battery tube mods" out there which, IMO, will work fine. But need to be sure of voltage and ratings. I like the basic horn type switch ones which are generally cheapest as well.
Using the EVO would need even more research as higher current comes into play as well.

If you get the LV DART it will work in nearly every 510 threaded battery including a joye 510 and Ego batteries.

i was thinking of grabbing these:
JOYE 510 XL Battery 280mah $14.99

JOYE 510 Electronic Cigarette Atomizer $9.99

ThermoVape Revolution DART LV (Low Voltage) Vaporizer Cartridge $54.99

all black so itll look near identical to a tobacco ecig,,, would this be all i needed? would it function well? would it act the same as say a thermovape or a omicron, just cheaper.. or would there be any added health risks like maybe material quality/plastic fumes etc.. id think the cartridge is what decides what u are exposed to, and using the dart would make it exactly the same.. any thoughts/feedback appreciated.

A little under powered. You would not be satisfied.
Why the atomizer? Unless you plan to use as ecig as well.
Check this kit out:
Here
Get an extra battery or 2 and your away. Add in an atomizer and your good for the free shipping as well.

just got my thermovape ev lv. So far so good. I really enjoy it as a personal vape, but when I get back to school, a couple of friends and I like to use it. Before I had iolite and an no2, but the no2 broke and I was feeling something new:D. I was thinking that for a couple more people the sv evo or preferably the t1 (bigger bowl) would get the job done. I was wondering what problems I would have trying to convert it. I know its modular, and i have read more pages of this forum here then i might like to admit (I feel like I've known of for a while) but just created an account. Thanks for the help. fc is one of the best forums i think ive ever seen

does thermovape have any other design other than the main design, im looking for something a little more ecig style.. my intent is to have something that i can use in public and not get any second glances or second thoughts from anyone.

i was very strongly inclined to use the o-phos.. and use it with the revolution dart cartridge.. was just curious if there was any difference in anything other than the cartidges. which is why i was asking about the joye.

i do like the sound of the thermovape as a whole, i just do not know if i will like it visually, as im looking for something that can pass as an ecig.

My experience sharing the T1 with 2 other people I would pack it and each take 3 hits and then change the batteries and bowl. I would have to let it cool down too as it would get very hot.

From the EVO LV to the T1 you would need

Batteries and charger - http://thermovape.com/collections/all/products/tenergy_charger_batteries

T1 top - http://thermovape.com/collections/a...olution-to-thermovape-t1-conversion-kit-black

Extra batteries - http://thermovape.com/collections/all/products/tenergy-rechargeable-batteries

To change to the EVO SV (6v) - http://thermovape.com/collections/a...volution-convection-vaporizer-cartridge-black

Batteries and charger - http://thermovape.com/collections/all/products/tenergy_charger_batteries

Extra batteries - http://thermovape.com/collections/all/products/tenergy-rechargeable-batteries

You can always find batteries on 3rd party web sites. Just make sure they are the same and look the same.

Meat,

To convert a LV Evolution Kit to standard (6V) voltage you would need the following:

That will give you everything to switch from LV to SV.

although the more im looking at the thermovape it seems like it might not be so bad.. how long does a charge last?

what kind of cartridge comes stock with it? how much oil would it hold?

i think i recall reading before that the thermovape cartridges last a very long time because they can be cleaned easily.. i do not have a lot of money to be buying cartridges all the time, or hardly at all for that matter. and im not a real heavy user, which is why i was thinking that the dart would be a good fit for me..

on the dart can i just toss a little piece of dry bho in the top instead of using the poker that is attached?.. im leaning more toward the dart over the regular revolution because i was reading that the turn window can get gunky and i think the dart wouldnt have that problem.

ALSO is thermovape developing anything that will use dry herb?

Thanks for the quick responses! The only other question I have is the lv battery light supposed to turn red when a battery is put on it? No lights so far with a battery in it. used the battery twice already. If needed, ill post some pictures when I get back from work.
ps. you guys are right, it does creep up on ya.
Edit: So i dont need a new bottom piece? I wasnt sure if the different batteries wold fit in the bottom. Thats awesome. modular engineering at its finest

Oh wait! you need even less than i thought!

So you dont need the charger because your UltraFire charger has a setting to charge the 3.0V batteries!

Sorry for the confusion.

The T1 and the Evolution are for herb. Dart can handle dry BHO, just put a small bit in there (bb size or less), heat the core, watch it bubble down into the ceramic, stop heating, put the cap on, resume heating, then hit...

The Rev/Dart does work fine on Ego style batteries, it just drains them faster than a stock atomizer would, and if you use it repeatedly will heat them up. Best to not let them heat to the point you can't touch the button, at that point you might be messing up the internal electronics. Let it rest once it starts to get hot.
