Cool..thanks for the info. I live in a NON medical MJ state, so getting Omnicron doesn't seem like an option. I already own the TV w/ revolution. It works well but doesn't vape oils quite like the gpen.

Boy you lost me there...Gpen, and Revolution re OK, Omicron isn't????

PV and THC are turning down your money?

I thought I read that you had to purchase the Omnicron carts @ a dispensary vs. being able to fill them yourself. We dont have dispensary's in NY

Not sure what you mean by "PV and THC are turning down your money"

Just the opposite, you fill them. They typically hold a gram and are good for maybe 200 to 400 hits depending before refilling. The come in five power levels. You can usually refill them a couple of times.

PV is Planet Vape:

THC is the maker, now D9:

Hi gents it's my first post so go easy on me.
The g pen made me want to get into hash oil and I'm staggered on all the different types , I was pretty much sold on the g pen untill I read it's basically and ego and some give you plastic fumes / taste.
Am I right in thinking g pen now ships the latest style ego cartomizers as seen on the atmos optimus ?

I have a gpen. I gives me no plastic fumes or taste. It does not use any cart. It uses a wick system to deliver oil to the heating coil. It works considerably better than any portable oil vape i have ever used.

If you have access to oil, buy a gpen. Best $60 ive spent in a long time.

Glad you're happy with it. Since I recall you didn't know the details of the Omicron, "works considerably better than any portable oil vape i have ever used" is no doubt a true statement. And the price is attractive. However, had you spent $30 more for:
http://www.delta9vapes.com/products.php?product=O%2dPHOS-Silver

I strongly suspect you'd come to the same conclusion as most if not all who have tried both came to? Not only do they report less troubles, better hits (whatever that is...) and more hits per fill (300 or so) but when you do foul the heater out (and you will with a few grams of even the best concentrates available), Omicron replaces a ten dollar cart, not a sixty dollar vape. You're ahead money wise as well from then out?

If you have access to more than one concentrate it's also very nice to change strains by swapping carts.

So, thanks for the additional feedback. I hope you get a chance to try the Omicron (and Revolution for that matter) and am interested to know if the 'best oil vape I ever used' still holds.

I have to agree with OF 100%
Also.. I found amounts of "non hash oil" associated" fumes and taste with most of the pens out there, and the Gpen was no exception (although not the worst)
Take OF's advice and try his recommendation if you get the chance.

Might I suggest an Revolution adapter for the thermovape for a heads up comparison. Once I did that there was no comparison. The answer was clear.... Revolution tastes better than omicron which tastes better than the Ego or the new Rapid Fire Marketing vape that I had chance to evaluate head to head in their booth at the cannabis cup. No real contest. THC and Thermovape make a better product.

Excellent point, I think both Revolution and Omicron start out more or less the same but Revolution deals with the extra stuff in the oil better. It has several advantages here, where the surface of the heater in Omicron starts forming a crust immediately that only gets thicker over time (eventually stalling it out). While you can't clean the Omicron all that well (if at all), boiling the Revolution is a reset taste wise.

BTW I'm not all that big on pictures (no secret there....) but this is one I've posted before of a 'used up' Omicron heater along with the 'scab':

In the background you can see the furnace body, the wicks fit in the notches with the free ends in the oil. The heater is the center bit, under the lump, inside the flat spots on the wick (where it goes through the seals). When this happens with this vape you need to throw it out and buy another. Otherwise up to that point all the vapor is coming through that burn up mess as it grows ever thicker.....

In Revolution the debris is left spread throughout the ceramic material and doesn't 'filter' the vapor for you. Each system has it's strong points IMO, a guy should try both.

Well I have 3 g-pens bunches of tanks. Make my own concentrates and I have to be honest and say:

1) no foul taste and shows same profile of taste as the flower it came from

2) Tanks with heavy hitting last over a month I have one going with a great batch for 3 months.(replacement tanks range from $20 to $27 in stores around me)

3) wick works great ( I pre season the wick with first room temp vacuum purge oil, then dab buddah and wax on to the edge of the ceramic not directly on the element.) The wick keeps going for months without dabs but the dabs give the big ole pull

4) product makes the biggest difference. I cant tell you how many oils and waxes I see with contaminants and that were purged out way to hot or not purged enough. The contaminants will be foul, to hot oil changes flavor profile and not fully purged product will contain enough butane to be foul....

It is very important to make sure you don't have a knock off. One other item is that the wicks are pre shipped with food grade glycerin for the numbskulls who like to press buttons without product. I suspect any burned wick pictures were arrived by that method. Best to load a tank use it and keep it fluid and you will have limited problems.

I do not work for greneco go look at my other posts. I lived on the MFLB for a while but this is the holy grail. Every shop owner I know has stopped using anything else. If you ask them to empty there pockets there is one in it. Granted in NY we are always late to the dance as you med states have everything early but to everyone I have spoke with this device is the bleeding edge. No one I know who is a head and has used it goes for flower any more...

I had to post this only because it has been such a revolution in my method of delivery. IT IS THAT GOOD. I heard they are coming out with a tank for flower which I will have no use for but soon there is a tank that has a metal bowl with a holding area for wax and shatter. just throw it in and it feeds itself. Can't wait to try that for the stuff usually thrown on the nail.....

SO I give this a 9 out of 10 for a portable vape delivery system. Very big pulls easy to use instant turn on and fantastic stealth..... For $60 how could you not try it.... ROFL

interesting, but never the less, there are quite a lot of things I could buy for 60 dollars, but I don't think I'd try any of those things.. ;)

Guess you will never know. ;-) Being off of Flower and onto concentrates this is the the single best portable delivery system I have ever tried. It is a vape no combustion when used properly.

watch this and its the real thing not a fake!

Nope never tried the dart... From the video's it looks like you have to heat and re heat to get it flowing. How does it fair with Honey comb? I woudl love to try it. Want to hang?!?!?! ;-) If you have a good vid on how to with it pass it along. I am always looking for new gadgets...

For real I am sure that there are many great vapes and everyone gets used to theirs' but I love this one. I only commented because my user experience is different than what I read here. I am sure if you hit the g-pen to much by re heating and passing it around to 10 people and are constantly throwing it into over heat mode one might experience burning of wicks or a foul experience. But I deliver the meds to my self and all my boys have one in there pocket so we hit it lightly. It's never used as a party session tool. Either way My point is that my experience is extremely positive.I get huge back of the throat banging rips and have found it to survive my usage which is moderate. If you are taking a 100 rips a day it might f'up.. hell anything might. My experience is the thing is pretty much idiot proof only things to do are

1) load on to wick and onto ceramic don't go poking the element or the tank will have a shorter life.

2) use good product I cant stress how many oils I have shined a light through that have shit in it.. that will make the thing taste like doody ROFL

3) Don't over bang the thing. You get good ripps on just a button hold. Its better to do 3 smaller hits than one bigg as rip. either way the effect is the same. No need to pull until you spit out a lung LOL

4) Prime or season the wick with oil if you have it so it never drys out . If it does you can end up frying the wick

I have friends who burn out MFLB's because they are hitting way to hard and are burning the flower. Way past vape. My experience with that has been awesome and I have had mine for a long time. only thing that ever went wrong with it was the plexi glass cracked but is still totally serviceable. My iolite is still humming too...

It's all good... For real.. These forums are about reporting our findings as to help others make decisions. Anybody who has any further Q's or wants to talk methode of use get to me. if not no worries have a great day :-)

P.S. One's great is another's shit LOL some love the vapir stuff those tasted like plastic to me in the end. I don't use glasss so my experience has been mostly on the portable side. now with concentrates most everythign else has vallen to the side.

Hey guys,

I wanted to tell you about a few modification's that i did to my GTank which have greatly improved the performance of the Gpen.

The first modification was to remove 90% of the wick hanging to the bottom of the tank and insert a screen almost 1/2 way down. This effectively creates a smaller gtank. You could easily fill the regular tank with a considerable amount of concentrate ($$$) and with the more stable wax it tends to pool in the bottom of the tank making it hard to bring toward the heating coil. If the wick were heated I could see it working well but the stable wax at the bottom becomes a problem and the wick gets damaged when moving the wax around. With this mod. the top half of the wick is always saturated and the wax has no way to run to the bottom of the tank.

The second mod was to drill a small hole at the base of the tank. Bottom line, The draw is greatly improved and it its much better.

I have included a picture to give you an idea. Hope this might help make your gpen even better!!

Actually none of it will go to waste. All of that wax is easily accessible with a toothpick to place on top of the coil.

Its a waste because your not a fan of the Gpen?.

sorry but it is a waste because it is burning at high temps next to a hot wire that wraps around a fiberglass/silica wick, which the cherry on top; next to a bunch of plastic :( I prefer proven inert substances in medical grade type devices. (thermovape) If not that than dab, why waste your time with something that is comepletely 100 percent made for e cig really vicious juices. Time and time again companies rebrand an ego-w tank and say its just for oil! Sorry but mate, your being lied to. Use that rev in your sig, save some brain cells :2c:

Im not sitting here telling you the Gpen is some incredible device that was originally designed for oil. I have no doubt that the company has re-branded an electronic cig for use with oil. The bottom line, for me it works...& I have no reason to believe that im in any more danger using my gpen than i am smoking a conventional bong or pipe. If you have direct information proving otherwise, please let me know.

I definitely love my TV. I don't think it works as well as the Gpen in a few areas. Heat up time, Battery Life, Vapor quality, stealthness. Yes the TV wins in the materials category, but thats it IMO

Hey guys, I've done a bit of research and picked up a G-Pen today. I chose the convenience of the g-pen over the build quality of the TV or Persei, etc. Also, this pen will only be used for outings like the movies or a concert/show. It's not replacing my flower vaporizers, just complementing my lineup with a fast heavy hitter.

First thing I noticed was that there are small droplets of liquid inside the tank. I took an empty draw and got a huge puff of WTF but I'm hoping that burns off soon. I'm guessing it's the glycerin solution that they were talking about.

How many hits are you guys getting from one full charge? How many hits to get fully medicated? For instance, it takes me 3 average dabs or 2 large ones to get me where I want to be. (large and medium are relative of course)..

I have a gram of wax that I'll have to run through it tonight. I hope it fills the niche that I need it to!

Btw vayperson, I'm definitely doIng your screen mod. Great idea.

Thanks Tim.....If you have any questions about the mod let me know.

From my experience, I'm getting around 350-400 pulls per battery charge. I usually charge the pen once a week, and I use it a bunch everyday. How many hits It would take probably depends on the quality of your wax but usually 3-4 hits on the pen will get me where I want to be. Your experience might differ but prob not much.

I also use my gpen for concerts and on the go situations. Its amazingly stealth, both in the size and (lack of) smell output. Enjoy!!

350 pulls sounds ridiculously great.. I should have started vaping concentrates a long time ago!

I do have a question about your screen mod, though. How did you get the bottom portion of wick out and place the screen in?

Did you pull off the clear plastic cylinder surrounding the element/wick? Mine seems "on" there pretty well and I'm afraid to put anymore force into it lol.
