@t-dub have you tried turning it up to about 1 o'clock on the dial for 2-4 minutes and then turning the device down to 10? I am wondering if that would shorten your pre-heat down from 15 minutes. I might have to give that a try soon and see how it works.

Please let me know what you find out SliM. Right now my focus is on eliminating as many variables as possible to make the experience repeatable, and therefore also controllable, with a high degree of certainty. This way I can find out what different temps are available, how to access them, and then finally how to use them and see what experiences they will provide. I have quickly found my sweet spot and I find straying from it difficult. :)

That statement is so true. Mine is right at 1 o'clock all the time. It heats up a little quicker, and I can extract more in one hit. I had it set to 12 o'clock the for the first few days. I decided to bump it up a little. I have not even taken it past that temp yet. I find it does such a good job extracting at that level for my material, draw speed, grind, and draw length.

Hey SliM, did you mention the fun we have been having with the Skilletools HONEYBUN and the ELBs? Loving the mini scoop for cleaning out ABV and loading bubble  and of course the pokey spear point for stirring, very nice :D

I have some hash that's pretty good but not quite bubble. Most of it burns away but it does leave a small amount of white ash so I know there is a small amount of plant matter in it. I just slice off super thin slice with a razor blade and break up the slices into a powder. Set the cloud to 1pm and blow some serious clouds.

I tried some $90/g "budda" (which I THINK some of you call wax?) mixed with a bit of flowers in the ELB, and although I tasted the budda and i think felt the effects, after one pull I looked in the ELB and stirred, with no budda to be found. Is this because it vaporizes "instantly" and I actually inhaled all its goodness, or does it somehow melt into the flowers? I didn't notice any mess, resin, or anything that would suggest melting and going through the elb...pretty sure that didn't happen. Just curious if any of you use budda in the Cloud?

I have had my cloud for two weeks now, and I'm still impressed! My sweet spot is 10:30 on the dial, I bought a bunch of the ELB's so I use one 3 times and then into an ISO bath. My LED light seems right on. It take me about 12min to warm up. I bought the pelican 1400 for safe keeping. The taste from the cloud and the thickness.of the vapor, has kept me on the cloud. My ViVape has been in its case since the cloud has arrived. I'll send some pictures soon and a video.
Thank you Vapexhale team the cloud lives up to it name and performs as talked about. For those of you who are still waiting for your email, hang in there it's worth the wait!

Happy vaping cloud lovers!

I'm pissed off and you people are whining about nothing. Just turn the vape on and if it works great!!! Why must you know the temp ranges and all that shit? Are you not getting banging good tasty vapor? Wow

Why buy an analog vaporizer with no specified temperatures on the manufactures website, then expect to be able to derive exact temperatures from here-say on a forum? Sell it and buy something with a temperature indicator of some kind.

I agree with you bud. sm posted what the the min heat setting. In my opinion if your unit works using this criteria.what you should do is experiment with different heat settings to find your sweet spot. If it doesn't fill out a work order. maybe it is all the dead shows or THE RINGING IN MY EARS but mine becomes barely discernible when it is green. I am very happy with my cloud and the few people that have used mine all want to buy one. I let my medicine dry out until it crumbles between my fingers and get nice clouds at 9:30 or 2.5 on the dial. My question is where are the botanical's.

It really is the best tool I have found for scooping the ABV out of the ELBs. You can tilt it at an angle and insert it past the ABV and then tilt the tool and drag the entire bowl out with one smooth motion. Then I spin the ELB around in my finger and scrape the powdery bits off of the sides.

Why are you so upset that poeple are curious exactly how their device is functioning, and how it compares to others? I liked reading all the posts about temperature settings. It gives me an idea how others are experience the device. I was going to record my temperature range over my device and post that as a guide for temperature. After reading through everyone discussing how they are getting slightly different temperatures at various settings on their devices, I deiced that it is probably best for me not to do that. I would have likely put the wrong information out there, if it was not for people discussing their experience with temperature.

wow, i wouldn't have expected a post like that from you. I'm getting awesome tasty vapour, but why is it a crime to discuss temps? No offense dude, seems like you are the one doing the whining.

In regard to emptying the ELB.... all I do is turn it upside down, and tap once or twice on the back and ALL the ABV slids out so easily... I love how it's so effortless. A bit of ABV powder sticks to the sides, but does that matter? I use my elb's alot more than a few times before an ISO bath, and the bottom of the elb is usually pretty clean, and that's the important part no? Do the sides matter that much?

Also for SM: I think i'm pretty sure you mentioned that the cord is 8 feet long? I just measured mine...9 feet...not complaining! lol

I second "where are the botanicals"? :)

It seems that there is additional drag when the ELB gets clogged, particularly if it's filled to 3/4. The dryness of the herb and the grind are also factors, of course. It's true that it lengthwise fits against the glass joint so there appears to be little if any airflow along the sides. This is just speculation, but it may be that the fine mesh facilitates heat transfer and turbulence. I've been using a few quick shots of compressed air after each ELB use, and after the third use into the ISO soak.

And since we're sharing tools, here's another that has been working well for me:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000MOYI5W

I have the Czech spoon too and like it, but find it a tad large (it's wider than the ELB). The "smidge" spoon at Amazon fits perfectly into the ELB making for very easy loading, and its oval shape works very well at removing the ABV, no sharp edges. Only $6, and the set is useful in the kitchen, too.

I can't tap my ELBs out. I tend to pack it a little tight, so there is enough resistance with the packed flowers that they do not want to fall out very easily. The particulates will not affect the airflow along the sides. The reason I scrape the sides is two fold. First I like to make sure I can get all the stuff out, so I can fit as much in as possible next time. Secondly the particulates along the sides will starts to get pushed through the mesh... just a very small amount. This causes the inside of the glass to get stained/dirty quicker. Scraping the sides helps me keep the unit a little cleaner, longer.

I do a quick ISO wash with my ELBs every other day. I find if I wait any longer then that, it takes longer to clean it when I do get around to cleaning them. Being proactive tends to save me some extra cleaning energy down the road.

That Amco Measuring Spoon is interesting. Thanks for sharing it.

Iirc, the mesh sides are exposed to airflow, making it work better if the sides are clean. I find a clean elb hits best.

I agree with you about the airflow being best with a clean ELB. I have a feeling that a dirty ELB gets me just a tiny bit more medicated. I feel like the extra built up stuff on the side from previous sessions, adds to the potency of my current session. My favorite period for my ELBS are 3-4 sessions right before it needs a cleaning. The flow might be reduced, but that is okay by me because I like to pull with more force anyway... except when m TMJ is acting up, then I do appreciate the smooth airflow of a clean ELB.

Just popped for one of these (Nanuk 920 w/foam), I have decided that the Cloud IS my new portable vape :) (I don't travel much since I'm disabled) With the 10% off coupon code (newsite10) and free shipping it was $80 :peace:

IMO, it is more important to clean the ELB caps than the mesh cylinder since the caps seem to get dirtier quicker.

I find that if the ABV don't just pour out of the ELB there is still some goodness left. I never have to scoop spent ELBs, but then again, I don't pack them, I just let gravity fill them and call it a day. I get 4 nice chest filling clouds and dump.
