Mobius Glass

I mentioned them in the customized vapes setup a day or so ago, I honestly don't see the value in them... (and I don't really like the style of the work)
I like the look of the mini matrix perc though :)

The tubes have the diamond disc in them and the "orbital" bubblers have that splashguard chamber and a second "filling chamber" coming out the side with a female stopper if you look at the pictures.

nifty but honestly he promised a new perc and thats definitely not what this is haha. its cool and a nice upgrade but I agree with you fred the work is "unique" but not ~1200 dollar work (regular mobius bubs/discs cost around 400)

I missed the filling hole on the side, I don't really like male joints for filling though.

I hope this one isn't the new perc...
I still kinda want one though

Are these out yet? Any info or pics?

From Mobius' website
for those who desire a smaller waterpipe, we are developing a Micro Series. Each have a bent neck top, stand under 12" tall and feature a fixed downstem with a recessed 19 mm Bistibil glass fitting. The Micros are offered in two styles, the Matrix and the Reti. The Matrix boasts over 160 pinholes for maximum diffusion, a next level gridded perc. The Reti perc utilizes opposing dual slit diffusion, creating innumerable tiny bubbles for high level purification.

The closest shop to me that carries Mobius is 4 hours away. Anyone know a place online to order other than ALT? They never seem to have any stock.

Im hoping to avoid a road trip.

I own a cloud and am looking for the best glass piece to pair it with. I don't want to get sucked into GAS so I plan to spend $500 to buy the single nicest piece I would want to use all the time. After lots of forum reading and youtube I think the Mobius is my best choice to satisfy that need but could use some advice from the forum on which Mobius to get. I like the matrix best because of how the water bubbles so much that even when you are done and cleared the glass the water looks like soapy bubbles. I have sensitive lungs so diffusion is very important to me.

I'm looking for the best Mobius for these criteria (in order)
1. Great diffision
2. Easy to Clean
3. Most sturdy for holding cloud

I am thinking the 65mm stemless bubble with stereo matrix is the best choice. What is everyone's opinion? Also, given how hard these are to find does anyone have a recommendation on waiting lists?

There's a difference between stacking and diffusion. Though, the Mobius does both, extremely well. Don't get me wrong, as I say keep your options open... because, if I had the $$$ and a Mobius was actually available, I'd buy it. No hesitation.

Personal taste, I would go with the Ion with a Reti or Matrix perc.

A slightly cheaper alternative, but similar designs... is a Zob. Some are down on them, because they're "mass produced", but whatever. I know there's enough Zob owners on this site, that certainly like their pieces.

hehe, it might already be too late :D

I think the 65mm stereo is a great choice! personally i would take the 60mm as i like the smaller pieces... but do they fit the cloud? i think you would have to use an adapter, something i'd like to avoid in a setup like this....

because of this i think the ion matrix really is the better choice, but of course ymmv!

I definitely feel myself falling into GAS but right now I only have one piece that came with the cloud and when it broke it made me realize that I need two pieces in case it happens again. I have read for months about people buying cheap chinese glass and sometimes getting lucky and sometimes not. I owned an aquavape for a bit until it broke just laying on its side. I think the cat bumped it and I was shocked to see it broken. I really want one super high quality piece without crazy fancy artwork or zig zags. I like simple clean lines, thick glass, and a reasonably easy to clean piece. The mobius just seems to do that better than any other piece I have investigated. I am definitely leaning towards the stereo matrix someday.

Dude... with a Mobius, you're going to contract GAS regardless. Because, now you're going to wonder... if it can be this good, what else is out there?

Trust me on this one.

That may well be true for a lot of people, BDV, but I've had a different experience. I don't have a big glass collection or anything, (just 5 pieces now), but I haven't bought anything else since I picked um my ion bub. I enjoy using it so much, the rest of my glass has been neglected, and I don't have any urge to buy more. It's a satisfying little piece for me in this regard and has kept me from getting GAS  .

I don't really have the ability to keep buying more and more right now, so I am also happy with the Ion and only have a few other pieces aside. BUT if I had the disposable income, I surely would be exploring further.

I'll joint that club.
I've said on more than one occasion (about my matrix bub):
"you'd have to pry it from my cold-dead hands"

Im leaning towards either a bubbler with stereo matrix perc or an Ion with Matrix. The Ion just looks so small. I found a shop about 4 hours from here that sells Mobius but they wont ship so that kind of put things on hold.......
