does the MFLB kill batteries or something?

any tips on prolonging battery life? or am i supposed to buy new ones every 3 months or so.

Yes it can be really hard on them, don't expect them to last the number of cycles advertised. For longer life, don't discharge them completely, and don't let them get hot (more than 'a little warm') either charging or in service.

Hey gang, I've noticed that my box has started to smell quite a bit more than I recall. The odor of vaped weed emitting from the box itself is quite strong. Note that the process of vaping doesn't smell, just the box. I was wondering if anyone else has that problem

This came up a week or so back, MF said this comes from moisture in the bud (poorly cured). This, they said, also causes the build up that plagues some and is unknown to others. Have you changed herb lately?

What does that mean?

I have only noticed it recently and this was with using the same kind of herb which is cured fine. Any tips to get the smell out?

Don't know how to get the smell out (are you sure its not the stem?).

Though OF is correct, about the topic within the last week or so. Currently, I am breaking in a warranty box. My other boxes had the build up. This new box, I'm taking care to make sure the meds are just right. Bringing up Vito again... I just remind myself... if it feels like the bud is ripping and tearing in the grinder... it isn't cured right for MFLB use. Now I typically will fill my later trench and leave it sit to grind. When I'm ready to vape, it does so uniformly and so far... no hint of residue, or odor.

Not really. I tried to clean some of the oily stuff out with a qtip but the fibers got caught inside. Almost not worth chancing messing up the screen, IMO. Maybe a small piece of sponge on a pin will do a better job?

So, so true. I got some Chem Dawg my past visit, and it was not cured right and stringy. Tried to grind some up for my box, took forever and I ended up taking it out of the grinder and putting it in a shot glass and going to town with scissors. I could actually feel it tearing apart inside, and getting stuck (probably from being too wet?) It never really did vape right, either. On the other hand, this Earth OG and Skunk #1 that I received today is the perfect example of well-cured. Hardly any effort required to grind it up, and it goes down super fine, just perfect for the box.

To cut a long story short i contacted Magic Flight and Sachi who works there went to special lengths to make my day special.
We were in correspondence for about two weeks and He called me several times over that period to Australia to make sure I was looked after in every way.

He described in detail which exotic boxes were left. There were only 3 or so to pick from. This koa was his pick of the bunch.thank you Sachi. It has a beautiful shimmer that i can't quite catch with my camera.
He and Youm from the magic flight team made a gift box out of origami. What blade runner would nt like that!
He also included extras inc. stem, container and some nice herbs to use in it.

It was a v nice surprise on my birthday.

It runs much hotter than my old maple box.Visible vapor after 4 seconds compared to about 15 on my seasoned maple box.

Here it is with my older 1 year old maple box.You can see the old maple box has magnets fitted to the Lid.I modded it myself. They work really well to keep the load secure even under very bumpy conditions.the maple box has a walnut shorty.

Thanks to magic flight who i made it a day to remember:)

& thank you for spreading LOVE as always.

I know a couple of female employees, that shall remain nameless, that are going to be hearing from me... closer to December. That really is a beautiful box.

Never mind, went ahead and told her to circle December 21st and pass it on.

Of course, I sent them the link and they're going to be able to read this... so now I'm probably going to be in trouble...

NAW!

Belated happy birthday u bwade! That's a beautiful new LB you've got there. :D

That it is for sure, and it has the lid latch??? I'd understood all of them came from one run, before the latches. This is the only such I've seen. Anyone else have a custom wood one with a latch?

A bamboo model could be cool. I would like to try some of those herbal blends, what is one of the best alternative herbs to use in the box and what site has the freshest/best quality. I need something for vertigo.

Bwade, can you give us a tutorial on the magnet thing? Looks really interesting, I was hoping to do something similar to ditch the rubber bands altogether.

Ahhh , it seems like Lemon Balm is what I'm looking for. I've never tried vaping anything like this, maybe I'll give it a try.

I'll have to check that out. Bamboo is tough as hell, if not for the led light, you could probably soak the whole thing in alcohol to clean it. I would love to get an exotic model some day.

The mflb is amazing.

Welcome to the fun!

And while your absolutely right, and I think it's mighty impressive you signed up to deliver just that insight in your first post, I hope you don't think it's really news to us?

Anyway, now's the time to refine your grinding and cure, order some more batteries and start dreaming about the PA.....

This is embarrassing but I cannot seem to remove the stem from the box. I've tried pulling as hard as my grip will allow.. are there any tips or tricks? I don't normally push it in that hard so I have no idea why it's jammed in there like this.

ETA and of course, 2 seconds after posting I get it out. lol

Hello All ,
I can't go thru 688 pages and counting .
Please help :)

My mflb browns the herbs and produces minimal vapors . ( unlike before )
I got new batteries ( powerex 2400 ) , the orange light comes on .
My trench is DARKENED from too many accidental combustions .
But it just browns the herbs , even with proper shaking and tiny staggered inhales .

Is this term called " hitting cold " ?
Is it covered by my life-time warranty for a replacement or repairs ?

Please help , it would be greatly appreciated :)

Or
" For the love of God , can someone find me some papers " !

Have you ever cleaned the trench?
