Discontinued Omicron Vaporizer for oils

rayfar

Member
i recently ran into the same problem as others, with my hvd top turning on when it was supposed to. now my cart is a leaky mess and my goods just dont taste the same.

people keep talking about the seals in the cart melting and once they melt, it will leak forever... my question then is, what are these seals made of?

from a health perspective, i dont like the idea of things melting in with my oils :( so i guess it is true... once a cart starts leaking, it will continue to do so... will G replace this for me?

My question is when will the new clog and leak free carts become available? The Omicron and Persei are of limited value until new carts are produced. I payed too much already only to loose my oils and waxes due to bad carts.

am assuming you mean it turned on when it wasn't supposed to. use one of the spacers in the long tube as well as the two batts with the long cap and that should stop

Bob Loblaw,
I was an accomplished V1 user, my only leaks were with PG. My clog problems were minimal at best using a wide variety of waxes, putties and oils. I upgraded to the V2 and again only had a minor leak problem with PG and no real clog issues. I have this weekend just tried the HVD upgrade and couldn't be happier or more medicated. I credit this thread, which I've read in it's entirety, for helping me adjust and learn from more experienced users who have shared their experiences, both good and bad.

Thanks.

There is nothing in it that can melt, this is a miss conception.

There are many reasons why it could leak, one being bad oil, two user issue, three being defective.

Now before we diagnose the leaking issue, i need to ask a few questions.

What ohm cart?

What voltage?

How long are your puffs?

How long do you let it cool down between puffs?

What kind of oil are you using?

G,
I have a 1.5 ohm using 3.7 volts. My hits are for just a few seconds (massive hits) with over 20 seconds cool down (usually several minutes). I'm using Honeycomb wax and Pure Gold. It's about 85-90 degrees in my apartment and the contents is leaking and is clogged.

Does this happen after you leave it overnight?

clogs are the one thing that have been getting me

Can't wait for these 'clog free' carts, I'm going to be skeptic until I see it for myself ;)

I've found it's really important to hit the cartridge for at least 3 seconds while it's cooling off, and even after that giving it a few puffs after while it continues to cool helps keep oil from condensing inside the vapor tube and clogging it

This is one way of making sure clogs dont happen.

very true. also helps prevent leaks by cooling oil. But with the oppressive ambient temperatures lately, this hasn't been enough. my carts started leaking. PG is now between the 1.5ohm cart and the shield cone of my Ophos.

in the cold weather i found that thinner oils like PG worked best, but now i need to find a concentrate the doesn't get so runny at 100 degree weather.

Or just move to a better climate..... I mean how serious are you about fixing this really?

I too am finding the thicker concentrates to be doing fine, PG is a mess. Get it going good and 10 minutes later....

I would have to agree with you and OF... While puregold has everything going for it in terms of potency and taste, it's not going to be very good for stealth if you can't pocket and travel with it...

A nice high quality wax is my favorite travelling cart

Yeah but its good when its working.... I still use it about 40% of the time overall ... its so stealth and pure

Its a definitely a challenge to travel with. I will use a white cap if I think its going to be warm. I always leave the cart attached to a battery so if and when it leaks out the bottom it can only leak so much and the leak is contained. Then those cigar tubes from of are the trick... keeping it standing upright while stored in a hot environment like a car is essential too.

These issues are all much less common with earwax but I have yet to find an earwax that is so low in odor for stealthness compared to the PG.

It's good that we have these choices.....

well what sucks for this time of year guys is that concentrates during this summer climate have a lot more leaking problems, just like how herb is a little dryer too. Ive used pg before and i think its too thin, I've always had problems with pg but any other oil is completely fine. But then again remember with pg you can only take 2, 7 second rips before letting it cool down 1-2min

who ever said that they took hits from a 2.4 ohm on 7.4v is a nut, i just tired it and i literally got massive clouds in less than 3 seconds. G is this a safe combo to use haha

Not sure if they sent the caps yet. I placed an order on Thursday and I received that already but the cap wasn't included.

Authentic,
Not all of us have had good experiences with Delta 9 and their products. Here has been my experience:

Today I just resent back a bunch of defective products to Delta9 including defective 5.0 carts and the HVD unit. I had emailed them expressing the same concerns most of you have in here and their response was basically "thanks for the constructive criticism" - period. Firstly, WHAT?!

With the HVD unit I consider this a major flaw, NOT criticism in that:

I do the multi-click lock, the unit has a defect where is it is so much as shaken a little it resets the lock, then if the button clicks it stays on forever as your oil burns and leaks. Regardless if my opinion on a stay-on light with a defective lock is "constructive criticism," i do know ive lost a bunch of concentrate due to some faulty carts and this defective HVD unit. As for the cart issue, see below - and this is using the clearest amber oil i have ever seen, totally full melt.

I have had all these problems and more with my HVD unit including the following:

This is a poorly designed switch that always stays on when pressed.
The slightest shake resets the lock on unit.
One of my batteries has a concave end, as if bent.
My batteries won't keep a charge as they should.
One 5.0 cart - the whole bottom fell out, wire and all. Consistent clog before that.
One 5.0 cart - as soon as oil was put in started leaking out of the bottom. Consistent clog before that.

Even though the best I could get w support was "thanks for the criticism" I took the initiative to send the whole lot of carts and HVD unit back, requesting products up to at least the following standard:

The new HVD top that doesn't reset when shaken and has a hold-down switch.
New HVD tube that has correct screw alignment with logo on the original long tube
Batteries that aren't damaged and work.
New replacement 5.0 carts since 2/5 were damaged (other 3 being sent back)

As you can image I am VERY disappointed. Its in their court now as to what they do with all this time, money (on the unit and shipping back), and lost concentrate.

Wield that single post with a fury!

Seriously, when I've seen people waaay more hot-headed with you settle their beef with Delta9.

How about a suggestion....sit back, relax and medicate. The crew will make sure you are happy and at the end of the day if you still are not happy, I'd be willing to bet you will never be happy and these guys will make it right.

Don't take the response from a support ticket so harsh...you didn't post the response so we are working with your paraphrasing.

In the end, if you are willing....they WILL MAKE IT RIGHT!

-Z

(edit: didn't mean to come off harsh....I am just that confident in these guys! If you want, PM me and I'll help where I can)
