Hi, I love you guys, please release the concentrate adapter as soon as possible, and more importantly, on the link provided a few posts up regarding the black nano grinder, the actual price text is black, which is the same as the background, so all you see is PRICE:

LOL! I didn't even notice that, because I just looked at the price on the previous page. Good catch!

Word on the concentrate adapter, is its still in testing and we'll receive word soon. ;)

Silly me, forgot to mention that the same happened when I saw the regular nano... like, on the product page itself, not the list. Also, $2 more for the nano grinder... does it make sandwiches too? :D Night everyone :ko:

Most excellent timing!!

Ladies and Gentlemen, let me call your attention to the photo directly above....note the bit of blue tape? That's exactly what I was talking about a bit back to block debris. Now I don't have to take that photo and post it.

Thanks, Q.

Actually, I think that means it's free.....right?

Hey, I know, let's vote on it! That's the American way, after all......

I think I need to recut the tape and possibly a second layer. This is just thin electrical tape. Will need to do more testing to confirm hypothesis :science:

And wouldn't it be nice to get a freebie, haha. I've been switching back and forth between my two piece Space Case and four piece Sharp Stone, trying to find a happy medium between them. The Sharp Stone collects kief, but my Space Case seems to have more "teeth density" which gives it a better grind than a quick pass with my Stone. Blah. Might just get the nano grinder once I get around to ordering the power adapter, at least it's the same size as the bowl!

I agree, my first attempt lead to looking for thicker tape. I did notice that one of my boxes has a deeper slot than the others (which don't leak enough to bother me so they don't 'get the treatment').

On the other topic, I have both the grinder and PA, both are highly recommended. I also have the other two you name (how weird is that?), the nano is superior for the box for sure. Harder on the fingers, especially if you put too much in.

I usually just grind a gram or two at a time in my coffee grinder then meter out 1/8 grams into small vials to fill trenches as needed. It takes less than a minute each to get in the 120 to 130 mg range. I figure it takes longer on average to grind and load random trenches one at a time the normal way. In a happy way, the vials fit in two of the slots in the battery case that carries the two charged batteries to vape them in the other two slots.

That's kind of odd, haha. About two months ago I went to the crafts store and found a little package of 8 small round containers with clicky lids for a buck ninety-nine. I figured I could at least see if it fit, and if anything I could use them for something else. Well, sure enough, they fit perfectly. I only grind up around 2-3 trenches' worth at a time, but I think you could fit a gram in each container. I use them to hold my different strains that are already ground up, for ABV, and to collect small samples of various strains that I hang on to after I've finished the rest of it. It's perfect, I have two or three of these sitting next to my monitor with different strains, and one for my ABV. I don't keep my meds on my desk, so this helps cut down on walking back and forth after every trench to deposit the ABV.

And youtube says I'm at 57% on the video I'm uploading.

Okay, video time! (Yes, I am a qualified medical patient!) She may not be the thickest milker, but boy does she kick like a horse. I still have what looks like 6-10 more rips, should be good with my morning coffee :)

As painfully infuriating as it is... I have no real reason to pick up any hash or oils right now! I don't have a proper setup for it, I lack a nail or skillet, although I do have a bong now (or is it water pipe?)... Magweedo from Nuggetry had a lung collapse recently, there's some speculation that the cause of it was from the not-completely-purged BHO that they have, although I can't imagine that doing the hugebhombs that he was doing was helping his health much either... anyways, ramble ramble, maybe if we all send MF an email at the same time they'll give us a silhouette pic? At least enough to satiate my hunger for the new and the fabulous?

Afterthought edit: OF, could you by chance post a picture of your tape fix thing on your box? I'm mildly confused as to which part you put it on. I want to try this out and see how it works out for me. Also, do you use the o-ring or not? I noticed that in the back hole where the rail goes through, if the o-ring is in use, the hole is blocked.

You know this BHO thing has been bothering me.... After some reflection and reading I think it's BS. Look up "butane abuse" and see. It's the most abused 'drug' in the class in the UK! Thousands of serious druggies are taking HUGE hits on purpose, you'd think they'd be dropping like flies wouldn't you? The MSDS numbers don't seem to point to a danger to us, either. It probably had more to do with how much and what he was smoking, not how it was made? I'm guessing he coughed a lot along the way?

Butane, like Methane, is not all that toxic, really, as I understand it. Together they make Natural Gas, which kills by suffocation, not toxicity..... As I recall, oil field workers work around it all the time, any Roughnecks out there?

Sorry, I missed the second part before. There's a good photo showing where to put it a bit ago. As to the ring, I assume you mean the foam push back ring, not the o-ring? Yes, I use it. No it does not seal the rod, the rod is pressed though an undersize hole, it has to be to be stable. MF reported doing pressure tests to confirm this. I sealed the top with tape to test myself, which you can easily do. Just open the lid and tape over the top of the bowl, put in the stem and try to suck air....

have you guys thought about making a special official water pipe for the box? it would be pretty neat to see an official MF "bubbler"

Hi OF,

Thanks for the note -- I sent it on to the person who maintains that webpage. In regards to having an official MF water pipe, I can report that, yes, we have been working towards that. Some of the designs currently being discussed are very interesting! Hard to say when they will be made available -- there are a lot of projects in the works at the moment.

Aha! I knew it! Is there anything else we can look forward to in the coming months?

On a more personal note, how the hell did you ever come up with the design? How long did you work on this before it officially launched out of beta? Did you quit another job and put your life savings into getting this thing off the ground?

PS: using my box at the beach today, it's pretty windy and I saw a kid trying to smoke out of a piece while I was skating over to my friends. Laughed pretty hard, must suck to have that one gust of wind that cashes the pipe whether you like it or not ;)

The test for a cool box is described here: 4.16 How can I tell if my Box is running too cool?

If it's really cool you can ask for a warranty replacement. :brow:

Hey! I can use their NEW Customer Service Page for a much more intuitive and streamlined process to!

Oh yeah, the new box. Pictures don't do it justice. The grains in the wood, really do catch the light and almost sparkle. The underside, I love how the grain caught there. Reminds me of the Sun, the way it radiates out. my friends at Magic Flight.

Usage. Set the PA for where I thought the sweet spot would be right around 40-45% and BAM nailed it. :spidey:

OK, I lied... took a couple of adjustments.

Thanks! What an interesting concept and read. I absolutely love seeing the progression of things from their early (and sometimes rudimentary) stages to the latest finished products (think iPod, how the Razr affected the cell phone industry, etc.) I especially love a company that listens as much to their customers as MF does.

MY NEW BOX IS HERE! MY NEW BOX IS HERE!
Oh man, looks wicked! Mine is much more "boring" with some nice grain view on the front (mouthpiece) part and the back. The sides, top, and bottom look fairly generic, but that's just the cut and the grain on it. Gets the job done, indeed :D

Also, have you guys thought about making a special official water pipe for the box? I've seen some interesting attachment things at my local headshop which seems to go with their respective vaporizers, it would be pretty neat to see an official MF "bubbler"

Anyone remember this guy and his MFLB bubbler?

Definitely remember that bubbler... almost like a simple jagito bubbler. Very cool. Also, nice replacement box, and I second Quet. on the wood grain. It actually has more noticiable grain than my box, and the laser engraving actually appears to be more consistent, which was one aspect that led me to burning a different quote on my box). Glad to see that the replacement boxes are on par with the originals. :) and despite the issues being discussed recently I am quite pleased to see that magic flight is a company that stands by their product and their warranty, because I have been dealing with others lately that seem to lack that pride and responsibility. :(

I'm starting to find the biggest downfall of the MFLB. It's not a very social thing. When me and a couple of buddies are lighting up, I feel it'd be inappropriate to teach them all how, and have to load trenches and switch batteries and such. Also, my DBV isn't nearly portable enough for me to take with when we aren't at my apartment.

I've been getting pretty good at rollin J's, but it's just soooo wasteful compared to Vaping, and the vape is a lot less harsh on the throat and lungs. :/

If you want an idiot proof portable with ample filling room, get the solo.
But as someone who recently got both....for my personal use i love my mflb and the learning curve to it just makes you learn a good overall vape technique - steady but not forceful (chongin it)

I don't even bother with trying to teach someone how to use it. However, social... it most certainly is. When you walk up to someone holding a small water pipe, 2' whip and an MFLB, people are intrigued. Just tell them to put their lips to the pipe and you'll tell them when to start a nice slow draw (I typically show them the draw rate first). Long as I have control over the PA or battery, they're getting the full effects.

Haven't met a person, that's turned me down yet, nor one that hasn't loved it.

^IMO it's a good device for 1-3 persons, but this isn't most convenient way to toke with many persons. I think joints are the best for social situations.

I mostly use my mflb alone and smoke when with friends. I used it many times with friends though and they all liked it, but I wouldn't bother using it if I'm with more than 3-4 persons. Just imagine getting 5-6 persons high with it, it would take like 40 mins.
