Oh, nice fix... but... I like how mine looks already :( I can't even bring myself to draw anything awesome on it!! I just like the look of it like that too much. Maybe I can go get some clear tape or something... I know Gorilla Glue/Tape is supposed to be pretty damn hard to take off, at least the Glue version is a PITA.

I first thought of using a couple layers of clear packing tape, but went this way instead. I also tested the tape it came off easily enough, although I waxed the wood which might be a factor? I don't plan on taking it out but that same concern crossed my little mind as well.

I also considered drilling a couple of small holes and pushing a SS wire 'staple' in but I'm sure that suggestion has purists pounding their keyboards even now......

Hopefully some of the inventive fellows around will refine it as needed and let us know? For now, I'm a happy camper on the only one of my boxes that had this issue for me. The others (including the Walnut one) don't have a serious problem IMO.

I am never ever buying from this company again and I do not recommend you do the same! I emailed MFLB Support about my broken box. I then got a email stating that "We are submitting your request today and your new box will be sent in the mail via USPS sometime over the next 3-4 business days. Please know that because of customs, shipping can take up to 30 days." After receiving this email I then threw out my old box (Because why would I keep a broken box, appearently MFLB doesn't get why I threw it out.... smh) Anyways, a month and a half goes by without receiving my replacement so I emailed them again about not receiving it yet. I get a email by support saying that they sent the wrong information and I wasn't getting a replacement and proceeded to ask for pictures. I had told them that I threw out my old box because I thought I had a replacement coming. I received a email about them "not covering thrown out boxes" and linked me to the sales page if I wanted to buy another one (Yeah of course I am going to buy a new one, thanks MFLB!!!! /sarcasm) I then told them that it is not my fault, I thought I had a replacement on the way that is why I threw it out... no reply. I feel as if I got scammed out of my money that I used to buy this product. I feel as if I should get a replacement as appearently MFLB made a mistake and put the blame on me.

TL;DR - MFLB broke, emailed support about replacement, was told I had a replacement shipped, threw out old box, I was told that they made a mistake about the replacement and requested pictures, didn't have the old box so I was denied a replacement. My mistake appearently

Magic Flight didn't tell you to throw out the old box, so why would you? There is specific warranty information directions on the Magic Flight website, why didn't you follow those instructions? You admit you made a mistake by throwing out the old box, yet you blame Magic Flight. I'm confused.

BTW, I have been dealing with Magic Flight for years, and have NEVER had one problem.

I did follow those directions if I got a email saying I had a replacement doesn't that usually mean that the whole process is over? Why would I keep a broken box when I was not told to keep it, they never said to me "Don't throw out your old box even though you have a replacement on the way" Look at it from my perspective. If you had a broken MFLB and had a new one coming, why would I keep it and how was I supposed to know that my request was never actually shipped.

I do not think this means what you think it means. Read it carefully. At the moment there are 685 pages in this thread and literally hundreds of comments praising Magic-Flight's customer support. Yours isn't likely to change many opinions, especially when you said the opposite of what I assume you intended.

Notice that when someone posts about a warranty claim, they frequently describe the procedure explained to them in the Magic-Flight email, which includes instructions on how to either send back the broken box or send them verifying pictures. I find it hard to believe that your email didn't include the same instructions, but assume it didn't. Did it not occur to you that no company is likely to send you a replacement under warranty without evidence that you actually had a legitimate claim? Seriously?

I sent them verifying pictures and I received a email saying I had a replacement shipped which means that the warranty request obviously must've gotten accepted by someone. But I never said my email didn't include the same instructions so stop assuming. You're on the boxes wagon I can see that just the way you defend them. If you were in my situation you'd understand I never got an email from them stating they will need the broken box or anything along those lines. Its their mistake and not mine

Hahaha, you're not getting anywhere here, dude. Honestly, if I were in your shoes, I wouldn't have taken it out of my room until I had the new one in possession. Just seems like common sense (which, I've been told, is anything but.) I learned that lesson the hard way when I was 15 with my first cellphone.

Anyways, no one was making any personal attacks on you, yet you felt the need to call someone out? This thread has over 17,000 posts and 2 million views. Of course you're going to find people who... gasp use and enjoy this product. Telling people that they're on the bandwagon because they defended a company (which, as far as I know, doesn't ever instruct people to throw away defective products) is a surefire way to not get any help.

Now, look at it this way, they never emailed you to tell you what to do with the box... so why would you throw it away? They never told you to... right?

A little kindness and understanding goes a long way. If you have the pictures and old emails, I don't see why they won't be able to resolve your issues, unless of course you gave them an earful (or is it eyeful?) instead of calmly explaining yourself. BigDaddy had an issue earlier with them not having had his returned box in their system. He sent them proof that the package was delivered and signed for on the day he said it was, and as far as I know he was taken care of.

They never told me not to nor did they tell me to throw it away. The reasons I threw it out; It doesn't work, I have no point to keep non working products. It smelled no sense of keeping something that smells and doesn't work. The reason why I am taking this more seriously is because I only had the box for 4 DAYS! So I spent the money and something that lasted me 4 days, that is why I am being more anal about the situation and I apologize if I might've offended anyone. But I am sure I am not the only one who would throw their box away if they thought they had a replacement shipped.

When I had a warranty replacement, I knew better than to throw away the old box because I read the instructions that Magic Flight gives to everyone. You are mad because you threw it away, and now you can't get a replacement because you did that. Understandable, but not Magic Flight's fault. I do not know any manufacturer that would want you to throw away a product that was under warranty. Every company I know of wants the old product back BEFORE you get a replacement. Magic Flight is trying to be nice by NOT doing that.

But also I forgot to mention all my other products I got replacements on I threw out that is what influenced me to throw it out. But what I think is that after the replacement is shipped the warranty on the broken product would become void wouldn't it to stop someone else from using the same serial number? Also you have to realize everyone thinks different, I might not have the same logic as you might have but from previous experience everytime I have get a message saying that I have a replacement being shipped I usually receive it, also if they made a mistake shouldn't they of atleast emailed me before a month and a half, instead of me having to ask where it is just to see that it wasn't shipped and to have waited everyday for the month and a half excited for when I can vaporize again.

Hi,

What instructions did you actually receive? Do you still have the emails?

Usually the policy for completed overseas warranty is that you must send some evidence that the broken Box is no longer in circulation, once you have received the replacement unit. There have been a number of situations where people claim the warranty, and then take their actually not very broken "old" box and sell it to another person (effectively selling a stolen unit).

I do not have the emails because of hotmails Inbox cleanout, but I do have a screenshot of it because I have always taken pictures of the confirmation emails I get for replacements. But I never received a replacement so I never went through that step. Is there anything that I could do to help the situation?

Hi,

All is that known is that you have apparently not received it. It is possible that it was sent, but that the address was wrong, or that it was "eaten" by customs (happens sometimes), or that it was delivered, but that someone grabbed it off your doorstep (rare, but we have heard of that occurring also). It may be the case that something went wrong -- but we do not know what yet. Starting with blame is probably not going to help.

Hi,

Not sure. What information do you have that can be a basis for looking into this? Can you PM me with a serial number, email address, postal address, etc, so that we can try to track the communications history?

Copy&paste from an old magic flight email:

Because you are a foreign customer Magic-Flight does not require you to send back your damaged Launch Box at this time. Please keep it, if there is one more Warranty then Magic-Flight may ask you to return them then.

Even not sayin send to magic flight, they insists in keeping the old box!!

hey Vicki, I am glad you like your LB. like i said before, your positive comments regarding it were a big part of why i got it. and i don't regret getting it, just regret that i had such high expectations of it.

i will say this much: the manufacturer of this product touts this as a portable vape. that is the expectation the manufacturer is setting for this product and i think it is the correct one. this is a portable, stealthy vape that extracts the goodness in pot quite efficiently. it cannot be beat in that department.

this thread gave me reason to have unrealistic expectations for the LB and i think those expectations are a big reason why i am disappointed. if used as intended, it does exactly what the manufacturer advertises that it does.

your experiences with the vape might be very good, but it is not meant to be a home vape. it was not designed with that intent.

don't mean to invalidate your opinion or your experience with the LB, there is no way I can do that! but i just wanted to say that the high praise the unit got here warped my expectations of the LB. this definitely negatively affected the experience of owning and using the LB for me and i just wanted to throw that out there for folks to consider. with all the, well deserved i might add, praise this unit gets here, it is easy to get carried away and expect things out of this little thing that are unrealistic. that is all i am saying :2c:

hope this does not sound like i am trying to counter or negate your expression of your experience with it!!

Hi Obilisk

I take your point thaty over-enthusiastic reviews can lead to unrealistic expectations.

I have the da buddha, the extreme q and the mflb. I alternate fairly randomly, though dbv seems the best for big hits, eq for lazy bag-hitting. But i also use the mflb at home, with a small fist-sized waterpipe hukka that used to be available on amazon ( pulled since as paraphernelia). And it does give a v decent hit. May not rrrrip you, but it is delightfully easy to use, and keeps you nicely buzzed all evening. Waiting on the pa, maybe that will ratchet up the hitting power of this awesome li'l guy.

I don't remember that post that references me, but I have to disagree on one point. I believe it is a good at home and travel vaporizer, if you have the PA and car adapter to go with it. :)

I dont have the power adapter or the car adapter, just batteries, and its the only vape I use.
I have used others, but not many. The MFLB appeals to me because of its portability, I dont want to have to be plugged in to power points or sat at tables with a table top.

I agree! I love the fact that it's portable, but I also love that I can turn that portable into a home vap with a PA. Or a car vap with the car adapter. It's versatile! :)
