So after my darts first cleaning the mouthpiece does not want to go in the dabber and the dabber does not want to fit correctly into the unit. the o rings feel stiffer. I was considering lubing it up with some pg but I want to avoid the taste. Does this normally happen after cleaning? Maybe my oven runs hot and I dried out the rings?
try twisting the units together, keep spinning and maybe putting a little bit of spit moisture on the o rings to give them some lubricant. After my dart's first cleaning it seeming a bit stiff at first then after a few uses gets easier to slide back together

It's normal for the o-rings to 'plump up' when boiled. In fact this is a common trick in vacuum systems when you don't have spares. The chains of molecules 'relax' back closer to their normal state. They will 'take a set' again soon enough. Yes, PG is a good lube.

Some guys (like me) tend to pull the rings before boiling for this reason, but if you're not used to doing that kind of stuff you can break or cut a ring that way and you don't have spares handy.

Good observation, not to worry, forge on. Good times await.

when oil is flooding the ceramic, even when loaded small amount, does that mean it's time for cleaning?

Not if you asked me. IMO it's a sign you're not vaping enough. Time to fit a fresh battery and get down to it. Heat that nasty old oil up until is smokes and suck the fumes out until it's not flooded any more.

Then 'rinse and repeat'.

I only clean mine when it no longer produces well. Extra concentrate (within limits) only slows stuff up until enough of it gets used up. Go too far and it leaks down into the switch area, which leads to loss.

isnt it wasteful to just suck the fume out right after a fresh reload? im confused, and find it hard to tell when it's nasty oil residue burning or freshly loaded oil vaping..

Sorry, I was making a bad joke about the nasty old oil, it should be just fine. What I'm saying is if you've put too much in (like I do when I forget to check the battery first....), just keep vaping it until the level drops off. Whatever you add will eventually get to the heater but the stuff soaked into the ceramic has to be vaped away first to make room for it.

Again, one of the big clues this is going on is it gets longer to get heat up for vapor (because you've got more oil to heat....) which means you're cooking the oil all the more before it gets vaped.

"Load small and often" is, IMO, the best rule for this and Revolution.

Sorry for the facetious term, it was meant to amuse, not confuse, folks. You bought the oil in there, use it. If you want it to stay fresh, only load a little bit so it doesn't cook for several minutes before 'it's turn' to get vaped comes up.

thanks OF for your help, the more i play with it, the more i seem to get a hang of it.

once the ceramic disc is conditioned, when the disc looks dry i add bit more oil in there. this helps keeping the flavor from tasting burnt.

You're very welcome. I think that's the secret to it. The surface seems to loose a bit of the glossy look to me just before it starts running dry. It's hard to spot, I've screwed up and dumped more in too early by misreading it, but you might have better luck. For me it's enough to wait a few more hits until it's definitely getting weaker.

My big problem is forgetting to question the battery charge before adding. Many's the time I've put more in to have it go slower only to have to deal with the overfill when I got smart and put a fresh battery in.

Enjoy the machine, it's a good 'n for sure.

just went through about a gram or more in 5 days, and it's finaly time for cleaning, i notice that the hits are starting to thin out as air through ceramic gets restricted, and it floods even if i add a tiny amount.

someone please enlighten me, what is the composition of this oil residue that clog the ceramic? is it tar? harmful if inhaled for long period of time? i suposed when you are using a glass or TI nail to enoy your oil, then you are inhaling it all along with the residue due to extreme high temp?

also, would turning the device on when it's still damp inside damage the heating core in anyways?

In a brute-force attempt to make a working system out of the Dart, I've persevered through 2.5g of concentrate without cleaning.

After the first gram the Dart had already gotten to the point that if I added too much I could hear/feel bubbling and it would leak out the bottom holes, and I had pretty much written off the Dart as too finicky to put up with. But as days go by you run out of things to try.

My system:

Fresh battery (full 4.2v)
Long heat-up combined with micro-slow inhale in the beginning
After hot, a tiny draw every 15s until vapor looks like milk
A slow draw afterwards

And when adding more keep it upright, I'm not sure if there is a dish shaped thing in there but it seems to leak less. I always add when the Dart is very hot, I still haven't found a draw that completely stops the leak but slow seems to work better. Adding less is cleaner but adding more is more satisfying :D just keep the iso handy...

My L V dart now taste better than ever!!! With every rip, I can taste the sweet honey oil. I'm glad I own this thingn the alpha Ultra is definitely LVD's best friend. 2 batteries last me through out the day too.

Wow, I was surprised to get my revo delivered on sat, right before fathers day! Gotta love living close to vape producing companies.

Anyhow, after delivery, I ordered some of that pure gold hash oil and a number of other concentrates. I chose about 6 varaties except for their I house hash oil tht looked very dark black with green.

Went back through this thread from the beginning to get familiar with the unit. All I have to say is wow, a very impressive unit. Is the LV Dart Unit. My EQ can't even produce clouds like this. Still trying to get aquanted with when to reload and all. Funky metallic taste seems to be disappearing after each hit.

I think I'll pick up a few more batteries. Thanks a lot to TV and the owners of this unit for making it a viable choice for me.

So here is new one for all you fine folks:

I was super stoked after receiving my replacement Revolution (window version) from the fine folks responsible for warranties at Thermovape. I was even happier when some quality full melt bubble fell into my lap. My provider ran out of stock on a particular strain I had requested, and instead gave me a deal on some "Strawberry Cough".

So here I am, a happy camper with a new core and .8 of some fantastic looking hash. To make an already long story hopefully shorter, the new core has died on me. While loading up the last little bit of hash, I noticed that I was suddenly able to see the red glow VERY easily (which hadn't happened since the first hit). Upon inspection it seems as though my ceramic core has completely deteriorated, revealing the wires underneath.

At this point, I just want to trade the price of the Revolution for some other Thermovape products. I am a happy daily T1 user, and I have gotten a number of my friends to purchase the same unit after they found numerous portables unable to deliver. I say this, because I want to show that my soul intent is NOT to slag the company. I just don't think the Revolution was designed for me  I have had great success using a 4ohm Omicron cart on my Thermovape, but the Revolution has simply been more problem than it is worth.

Anyone care to chime in? Am I the only person who has had this happen?

Yes, you are the only one. If your "hash" is dissolving the ceramic, something definitely VERY wrong somewhere . . .

i prefer the dart. just boiled my LV and HV for the first time. ran some serious oil until the taste was like a 8 gram dead omi cart. tastes great and fresh now. no deterioration.

That is a Chinese atty we dissasembled for the camera, still dont knwo why they played it backwards....

There is defiantly NO plastic inside the core!

Strange that they included 2 clips of what I am guessing is you guys pulling apart a standard made in china ecig atty, and then ran it in reverse, as if you were building it... sort of gives the wrong impression for those paying attention. Not sure anything can be done about it though. Editor must have thought it looked cool...

No, the editor probably thought, 'why can't those fool camera guys ever do anything right? I'll get the in house techs to play it back the right way around....'.

Editors already know it all, doncha know?

haha, but I have a keen eye for many of their mistakes, almost went into editing in my early college daze, but at the time, I thought, I didn't want to be stuck behind a screen in a dark room for years of my life...look where I ended up, behind a screen anyway, and I'm not even getting paid for it. There's a bit of irony for ya

Upon further inspection, the ceramic appears to have cracked somehow... Concerning...
