Well that's just fucking great. I eat about 2 boxes of this a week and have done so for almost a decade. Fuck !! Wonder what my risks are.

Thanks for the heads up, Jeff.

My response was the same as yours lwien. Go Lean Crunch has been my alternative to oatmeal for years.

wow Mom, you're up early today! (You haven't normally posted at my tea break, but have by lunch, regular as clockwork!)

Do Weetabix go world wide? They're a classic here anyhow, and do the job just fine. My staple, although the sugary/honey cereals can be tastier on rare occasions. In the winter you can also microwave these for a kind of hot wheat porridge.

Good morning Wat! :D

Weetabix is available here; I've eaten it many times. Love it in the microwave with a little honey drizzled on it.

For myself I find a favorite cereal an impossible task. For surely, the greatest bowl cannot be composed of just a single variety of cereal?
As an ex cereal fiend I believe my settled favorite was: 2 weetabix, weetabix mini's fruit and nut, honey cheerios (or honeyloops), and maybe some rice krispies if I had them. I ate that every morning for some amount of time before it got old.
I used to occasionally buy chocolate chips from the home-baking section of a supermarket to sprinkle over cereal which is really good. Although these days, I don't eat all that much cereal.

And that Shooter Mcgavin cereal box is some immense its not even funny,I would buy that even though its pieces of shit.

Frosted Mini Wheats were a staple when I was a kid. These days I've been enjoying Arrowhead Mills Spelt Flakes and Barbara's Puffins and their variations are pretty good too. I always put in some sliced fresh fruit if I have any and maybe even some honey drizzled in. I love fresh granolas too but somehow seem to get bad underarm odor when I eat the stuff.

Sometimes the most simple is the best.

If you want CHEAP FRESH bomb cereal here is what I recommend:
-buy & soak oat groats the night before in twice the amount of water (can add chia + flaxseeds if desired)
-drain any excess water in the morning and add fruit of choice (I <3 strawberries/bananas), cinnamon, honey, & some chopped walnuts

I had some of my daughter's Capn Crunch "Ooops, all berries" today. It was pretty good! Not good for me, just tasted good.

not entirely sure why, but every once in a while i get a hankering for some grape nuts cereal and usually about 2-3 boxes before im done with it for another year, odd i know but i guess that makes it worth mentioning as there is no other i do that with...its a "seasonal" favorite of sorts.

those 3 would probably be my most frequently eaten as a child/teen. Been getting this organic stuff now and then lately tho, whenever i do get cereak. not as sweet but sweet enough for me, lots of fiber and protein and good stuff in it too. expensive of course, so i only get a box now and then. there are more cost effective ways to get the same nutrition than them.

that having been said i had a huge bowl of my nephews apple jacks last night at the height of a major munchies binge and it was pretty awesome. nostalgically delicious, i would say.

i cant remember the name of the other cereal i really liked... they were like brown O's that were larger and more like, squared. ugh this is going to bug the fuck out of me today...

*edit*

I used to love Craklin' Oat Bran,...dry or with milk.

LOL that's the one

I've definitely pigged out on many boxes of this. the boxes always seem so small compared to most cereals. tho its a denser cereal so probably still similar in weight to others in the end.

I'm really digging all the new Cheerios flavors. Banana Nut and Dulce de Leche are amazing.
