The jamming and grinding seems ok, but if we are talking shake then it is already pretty much grinded...

I'm asking cause U used a LOT of tane and if you didn't purge it A LOT part of your weight is IMO 'tane...

also if you have residue on the nail though it is not "smoking" after your inhale...and in that case the residue looks like "ashes"= vegetal matters in your oil
if you have black cristalized bubbly residue and your nail was smoking after your inhale: then yes you did not vape your whole dab either because the nail wasn't hot enough or because you did not inhale enough...

here are a few pointers, use 1 can of butane per ounce, so you should have used less than a quarter can if it was 5 grams of start product, which you have no clue because you did not weigh it.
next off, you said you then ground up the shake you already blasted, and blasted it again. no need for that. the reason it is so dark is because you used shake, then ground it up after and blasted again. i always get darker stuff on 2nd runs, and rarely do 2nd runs as they hardly return much to make it worth the effort. when i use just buds, i don't grind them up, i just pack them up, and my end product is a light golden hard shatter.
Made from about the same amount(5 grams or so) I got 1.3 or so(weighed it right away this time) back from two runs(Pictured is just the first run after a few dabs as well!). They are both very very hard and alot more golden then ever before.
