***Gamers*** What are you playing?

I got paid to kill people.
Spent a good 5 hours today on a game of Civ V. Played on Earth map setting on with America at Prince level. English longbowmen are freaking broken. That game is too addicting.

While there are better games to play solo, me and a few buddies busted out Wii Sports tonight.

That shit is fun.

im also anxiously awaiting GW2!~ the first one was so much fun :) it was my first mmo experience for me :p

i want this one too, but the benefit of pre-ordering didn't strike me as very obvious. only access to the beta weekends. meh...

I still don't even know when it's gonna be out. maybe this month though? that would be exciting!

i highly doubt this month. i read that gamestop or someone had it listed as a late june release, but i wouldnt even believe that tbh. last i heard the only official date is a vague "2012" to be determined by how the beta events/feedback goes. I'd love for there to finally be a firm release date set.

I almost bought Tera because of the similarities it has to gw2 and my need for a good mmo, but i cant bring myself to pay $60+ for a game and then a monthly fee on top of that, not within months of a monthly fee free game coming out.

Although im just as excited about Phantasy Star Online 2... going to be totally free and on every gaming platform out there pretty much, with cross-platform gameplay.

If gamestop had a late June date, it was probably a placeholder date if the game was due to come out "Q2 2012" (of whichever Quarter ends in June in the gaming calendar)
I've seen it happen heaps of times...

A date of a highly anticipated game is leaked, and its an Amazon/Gamestop/Wherever placeholder date.

im playing D3 in the mean time it's a lot of fun and eating up a lot of my time lol!

I totally agree with you about paying per month.. I am a casual gamer and that is not worth it to me.

I own a PS3 and would same I'm a fairly regular gamer, though not nearly as much as I used to be. It's hard to find the time between work and a personal life to play my video games but somehow I manage. I mostly prefer a good RPG that is open and immersive but I also enjoy the occasional multiplayer FPS.

I'm currently rotating the following 5 games lately:

Skyrim - my favorite right now because it's so vast and immersive and never gets boring to me. The graphics are amazing. There are a ton of quests, your character is customizable, so many places to see, things to do, factions to join, etc...I never thought they could out do Oblivion but they did!

Alice Madness Returns - Beautiful, vapor friendly game which includes American Mcgee's original Alice game from 2000 which has a better soundtrack in my opinion. I love both of these games because it's the darker side of Alice, similar to the Tim Burton movie and the puzzles are fun.

Batman Arkham City - I was hestitant to buy this at first but it received a lot of good reviews and I absolutely loved Arkham Asylum. This is a great game which truly makes you feel like you're Batman with all the gadgets and villains you love.

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection - Includes all the best classic MGS games so that you can play through the story in order. I didn't get to play all the original games when they first came out so this HD collection has been a fun experience. There are lots of cut scenes and dialogue in between gameplay which really add to the story. I will be playing these for a while as I'm still on the first game in the story, MGS 3 Snake Eater.

Battlefield 3 - The only multiplayer shooter I currently play because it's just an all around great experience. I played Battlefield 2 on PC for years when it came out so this upgraded version was a must own for me. I wish they would have carried over the element of being the commander who supplied airdrops, vehicle drops, UAV support, and artillery. There are lots of DLC expansions coming which I look forward to. I own all the COD games but none of them come close to the all around warfare experience of BF3.

Trying to play Diablo 3, without success so far. The weather around here is just nice, and I spend most of the time outside enjoying my high.

My husband just finished downloading the "Harley Quinn's Revenge" add on for Batman Arkham City. I can't wait to see what it's like. :)

Deadspace 2 (for the PS3). It's fucking awesome. Although I was about 50% through when it suddenly got exponentially harder and my exams began, so I should get back to it now before I forget what the controls were, hmm...

Its more of a survival horror and stealthy game than left 4 dead. And you also have other players that roam around the vast map shooting other survivors and taking their shit. Its synced to the servers time zone. So if your in the us and you connect to a us server at night then the game will be at night.

I helped a buddy softmod his Wii the other weekend.
N64 emulator + ROMs = Fun :brow:
Mario Kart 64 is still awesome

I'm also still playing skyrim, and I just managed to marry my mercenary
I like it, A wood elf and his man servant run around slaying dragons and saving towns from invasion, and one day, they realize they're in love and get married.

He's not just my hired gun anymore, he's my hubby
I'll have to be more careful to not accidentally shoot him in the face with a poisoned arrow

Evidently Skyrim is down for gay marriage

I've been getting back into Battlefield 3 lately, after a couple months hiatus. I was afraid my time off would degrade my skills, but it seems i've still got it, won 6/7 matches yesterday with an average kill/death ratio at around 3. There's gonna be a lot of expansion packs for BF3 coming out over the next 6 months or so, you can prepurchase them all with a Premium pass thing, which is like $50, thinkin bout doin it.

check out the trailer for the BF3 Close Quarters expansion. I've always liked the BF games more than MW, or any CoD game, with this expansion REALLY enhancing the CQB side of things, BF3 is going to be unquestionably better (imo, and in the opinion of my friends who actually still play MW games)

and at the opposide end of teh BF3 spectrum (where i like to play), you have the Armored Kill expansion pack, which is due out in the fall, which will feature, of course, move vehicle-oriented combat, as well as the largest map yet, even bigger than Caspian Border

If anyone gets it for PC, add me on Origin/Battlelog, u/n is Ubelsteiner. I'm in a small but skilled platoon of fellow vaporists, can always use ppl who know how to play as a team in our squad. Even if youre not a very good shot, we can always use ppl in supportive roles, like spotters/welders for in the tanks and such.

Blasting through the Max Payne 3 single-player, highly reccomend. Amazing physics engine & writing is top notch (chuckling every 3-5 mins or so).

Could definitely get away renting it from a redbox for 2 days though, that's what I'm doing :p
