Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

well i found extra fine from the start meant i fit more bud in there. I felt i could actually feel a difference on the drag. like it was a little more restricted when it was extra full. this was using bud that was too dry, and powered on me in my coffee grinder.

normally i use my 2 pc to grind my herbs because im usually only busting up what i intend to consume. and using my 2 pc i get a medium grind size. through putting this med grind in there. the cloud dries it out, and makes it regrind down into powder very easily. but by this time the amount of herb only takes half or less than that of the original elb volume. it breathes fine, i get a few more hoots for free that i couldn't have gotten before.

all in all worth it and a good deal :)

Thanks, weedemon. Is this where I insert the cliche about "great minds think alike . . . "? :D

I also noticed that an extra fine grind at the start added some restriction and drag. I also suspect that the state of the herb may be a factor. I've weighed a .2 load after its about spent at 10:30 before a re-grind; there has been a loss of a third-to-half of the weight. This remainder amount fits perfectly in a 1" 2-pc grinder to quickly re-grind; takes me maybe all of 1-2 minutes and then back into the Cloud which is now up to noon. For me the noon re-grind hits are primarily for late in the evening to serve as my night-cap/sleeping aid. Again, thx for the suggestion.

While the "ether" of a new shiny purchase usually wears off in a little while, the opposite has been the case with the Cloud. Last night I was just sitting here after my night-cap - with fitting-to-occasion grin-on-face - thinking not only how much I enjoy the Cloud itself but most importantly how it has changed my routine and added a comfort, and associated medicinal, value that I hadn't had before. When I was younger (time flies fast) all I really cared about was lift-off; but all-at-once combustion obliteration doesn't leave much room for finesse, let alone various medicinal variations and subtleties. While vaporizing changed that, enabling me to achieve both, I have to add that the Cloud takes the overall experience to a level that, just speaking for myself, I hadn't enjoyed before.

Thanks VXL.

to that i will take a rip on my cloud :p

and when i first got it i was using a 0.01g scale to weigh my ELB, empty, full, and vaped. I was getting extraction levels of as much as 52% weight! This left me scratching my head as to why the number could possibly be so high.

here I was thinking I was going to be able to see how potent my bud was by seeing the extraction. but then it dawned on me. moisture, flavanoids, terpenes all the other goodies that come out in vapor too.

with regards to whats left still in there. I think it's safe to say a drug testing kit would still retun a positive hit on it right? so i will try a bho extraction once i have enough abv made up.

Haven't checked in in some time. Since having my unit for over a month, it is STILL the only vape I use regularly. And it's still converting combustors who try it. In fact, been so happy with the Cloud that I'm not looking at anything new other than portables. Other than some pre-orders, not planning to get any more home vapes - the Cloud does everything I need.

lack of moisture creates great taste and huge clouds:D
I'd agree with the 2nd part but not the 1st. My tastiest hits are always the first, when there's still some water vapor present.

this ring's true to me as well! if only it was portable now!
I don't think I'd want a portable as potent as the Cloud unless I had someone to babysit me so I made it home OK. :uhh:

The upper chamber can take a bit of water depending on how you fill the HT. I fill up to just above the slits and then take a quick draw. If there is water in the top chamber it will move to the bottom, raising the level ~1/4-1/2" above the slits. More water adds drag and chug, if that's your pref. Just be careful not to add so much that the upper chamber fills above the dome, or water will flow back down the inside airway and out the joint.
I don't think I can even get the water to half an inch above the slits before it starts leaking out the bottom of the tube. It holds just enough water to actually function, but had me worried that it should hold quite a bit more before streaming out of the bottom joint.

I also finally had a chance to use the thing the other night and wow it packs a punch. I started at the 10:30 mark and then tried some at 12:00 too. I got way ahead of myself as I realized how much I had loaded and how quickly it gets extracted. Anyone have tips for an easy way to load material into the ELB? It was not as easy load as the name implied (but I should say it was my first try).

I agree. Definitely get better flavor when I grind a bud straight from my Cvault where it still has the moisture and un-disturbed terpenes. But if I leave a bud out for a day to dry, then grind it, I might get bigger sized clouds but that first rip won't be as richly flavored.

If you just fold a paper and dump it in, it should be easy.

I usually grind a nug up that is the size of my top thumb joint (usually a 1 day supply) I get 4 or 5 good ELB's with that between me and the missus. However, when I first got the cloud I started out with a lower temp (10:30 to 11), but it seems like now I am really enjoying noon and above if the bowl is 1/2way to 2/3rds full. I get 5 or 6 great hits from that and I am medicated for about 2 hours...:p

Yep that's what I did, I made a small paper funnel when I first got my cloud. And I'm still using the original paper funnel I made, its a bit beat up now but she get's the job done!

many places, from local head shops, to that ominous looking glass case in the truck stop that has all of the "crack pipe" stuff in it. Mine came from the LHS, but I've seen them in many other places.

That looks pretty cool! Where?

Almost every "tobacconist", "cigar shop", etc has them. They're designed for pipe tobacco, so some weedy head shops have them but not all.

I just went on maps.google.com and searched for "cigar shop" ^_^

fwiw . . . mine will not fill up in the lower section, either. As the water approaches the top of the lower dome, the upper section begins to fill. When the water reaches the top of the upper dome it enters the air path and runs down, coming out the joint.

I just wanted to comment on loading tools. I use a scoopula. I had to buy it in my lab kit when i went to school. Turns out it's the perfect weed scoop! I have been using it for almost 10 years now, and it's still hard for me to picture a better tool. I later stole a few for my friends when I went to a different school. But they were not the same. shorter and wider. I prefer mine. :D

im not condoning stealing, but the scoopula is a fantastic tool! *pro tip, I use the blunt end!

my cloud sometimes blinks green like 3 times in a row and keeps doing it. Is this a temp stabalizing thing or something?

Works great with bubble  $1.70 here and a wooden handle for $2.10:

Thanks for the link, t-dub.

I picked up one of these with the wooden handle, and found some cool rubber stoppers there as well that I've been looking for for glass-cleaning purposes. They were very cheap, so I picked up six of them for about $2.
