I received that same info from AVD, but not from MiniVap itself. Apparently MiniVap trumps AVD. Since the product is new, they have been in discussions recently.

This leaves me the consumer quite confused, so i'm not sure what to think. They should honour the 60 day and 3 years IMHO.

The mini seems to work best while the battery indicator is green. I know that seems obvious, but around the time the battery light changed from green to violet it stopped producing meaningful vapor. I put some of that older stuff I mentioned earlier back though it again after charging the battery up and it vapped much better.

On to more testing.

It probably has more to do with lithium ion discharge curves, my solo and any other vapes I've tried that use lithium-ion power sources have the same sort of problem

i'm confused by this. what problem have you experienced. LiIon batteries have a pretty flat discharge until they just fall off the cliff at the end, ime.

Some of the battery discharge curves have some pretty severe downspikes. I'm not saying it's a rule with Li-ion batteries, but it does happen and with time it gets worse. Especially when used in such a high draw situation. Quality cells usually don't have this happen, but Tenergy... >:(

Let's just say I've had my fair share of packs which have started to drop below the needed level and needed replacing in my solo. And I blame tenergy.

Ill make a better vid of me using it on my porch. Maybe i can get some vid of some good hits, sorry for saying its the best vape out there cause like i said its the only one i have used. , but my wife has used several other in which she doesnt know what they are called but its the best she has used. So. Whatever. I was stoned during both vids so. Hahahah. But yeah as soon as i get time, probably tomorrow morning ill make a vid showing the hits. If anyone has any questions please ask em in the comments section of my vids on youtube. im always on youtube an can answer almost instantly, vs being on this site like ive said i ue on my cell phone an doesnt work very well lol vape on brothers

Well, welcome to the forum, Slide. I am glad you decided to make a presents here. You'd better don your flack jacket and helmet though, some here might press you a bit. I am sure the predominant question will be "What makes the miniVap worth so much money". There is no denying that it is expensive, even at a deeply discounted price. I own one and pretty much like it. There are a couple of picky things I will PM you about later.

The only questions that I have are what is the heater is made of, and how does it connect to the power source (is it soldered, lugged, ...)? I am pretty much interested in what is in the air path. Vape4Life has posted a material break down, but it is fairly general and does not include the heater I am pretty sure.

I have a feeling this thread just got a heck of a lot better. Even though I just got my Cloud, at wholesale pricing, now is the time. Just hope I can get it before holidays next week (for 3 weeks). Would be pretty awesome to have.

@Ragin - What setting do you primarily use, violet, or green? I seem to have to use green for any substantial vapor. I do get some light vapor on violet but it is kind of light and wispy.

@Slide - Same question. Should I get a decent vapor cloud on violet? I seem to only get that on green. You have to watch the rules here. The Moderators are serious about how their site runs. We appreciate your presents here.

I have had to take a break from the mini for a bit. It was really wrecking my head. The vapor is that potent.

Slide is still not able to post, he has not gotten a reply from the moderators yet. However he has answered some of my questions (through PM) and is working on the rest.


On the question about the heater construction:

Heater is made from ceramic with stainless steel electrodes. The connection between the wires and the electrodes is made by pressure, of course there is no soldering paste in between.


On the quest regarding the violet and green heater settings:

I prefer green myself. Its a personal preference and may depend on your plant material though.



On the upgrade to the heater:

I'll find that out and get back ASAP

Slide has gotten back to me on the rumored heater mod. I was told that there is no mod to the heater coming.

reviews of the minivap in use .

Too many spots to clean my friend...

The Solo is staying now that I have discovered the VaporLung, hehe! It will only be replaced by a Cloud or HI for home and a Thermovape or miVape (if up to the standards) for the outdoors...

In am used to using the MiniVap with the pollen cup and my flowers. I'll bet there is even less drag with no pollen cup.
