Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

Well, after an incredibly long and forced tolerance break, I was finally able to break out the Cloud again and I am so incredibly stoked. It's just as awesome as I remembered!

Also, to celebrate I picked up a new piece of glass. Videos are coming soon...




Needless to say, I've had a pretty awesome evening.

Compared to other capes out there it is.. This is like the Bentley of vaporizers. I think people are having withdrawls because they can't order one yet, which is why you are seeing people asking when they ordered and what their pre order date was.

my only complaint so far about the cloud is that after 3 bowls im thoroughly annihilated and won't be doing shit for a couple hours.

Saw this thing when it first got released to the publics eyes and now i wish i had preordered one. Preordered now, haha and the wait begins

I use mine for pain management so I don't agree that it is a luxury. You might pay a little more on the front end but IMHO you will make it back on the back end. My level of medication has not changed but the amount of medicine that I need is a lot less.

I did crank the thing to full heat and have been leaving it on to burn off whatever smell is left. I can already tell that it's going away. I should also update and say that Phil called me after seeing my post and clarified what happened. Apparently as soon as they had new stock their fulfillment company sent out my unit automatically which is why it didn't go to the new address. I suppose I don't need to make a huge deal of that particular part; I could have probably called them to change the sending address before it went out if it was on the way somewhere strange.

I know it's been a rough road to launch on these things so glad to have a working unit in my possession after all this time. If it performs like everyone says then I can see my only complaint in the future being warm up times and very warm hands. Cheers!

PS: For those sweating and keeping track (I know at least one poster was), my preorder date was March 21, 2011 and I finally have a VapeXhale in my possession.

No one said a luxury good can't be an excellent value.

This is a medical device/tool for some of us. A device some consider essential to their well being. For some it is about extracting the most out of their medicine. For some it is an investment in their health and well being.

My view is that the Cloud is a luxury good, a very good value, and a great medical device.

The HI , the cloud... Since these 2 've been released, living in a 220V country feels like a curse. Does VapeXhale Team plan a 220V units one day or are we doomed forever? If they do, wouldn't be a good idea to make a special european newsletter with pre-order option as soon as possible? Please say yes, please , please , please....

Sorry mom. Didn't mean to tread on any toes, I understand your frustration and as I said I agree a new thread for that is required. As you say end of story.

Tea Party I agree its a luxury item for some people, and I agree the price for this thing (especially the preorder price) is a steal. Weed in itself for a lot of people is a luxury. But I have found that the economy of use alone would be a tempting enough reason for anyone to want to get it, particularly medical users who need to use a lot of meds. I think I use probably 1/3 of what I did with the EQ. That racks up in no time especially for those everyday medical users. I don't think it is fair to say that ONLY connoisseurs or heady glass collectors should be interested in this vape, medical users would benefit greatly no matter their income. Although I think everyone should probably get it The flavour alone makes it worth it

Doing a little Maintenance Op with an assist from Troi and Phil I thought I'd share. After about a month's use I noticed condensed honey oil building up in the male joint on the cloud. The VXL team suggested I carefully swab it with ISO to remove to honey and then swab with water to remove the ISO. All went well and am now letting the unit run a full cycle @ 5:00 o'clock. I recommend all Cloudsters keep an eye on the male joint.

I have also noticed a slight build up on the inside of my male joint as well. I will clean it the way you described also cheers!

Hey guys! Been watching this vape for a while, and I'm sure I'll get one at some point....but right now I'm very curious about the ELB. Is there any way to purchase an ELB separately? If someone could point me in the right direction that would be very appreciated =].

After vaping 1/8 oz per day of cali home grown meds in Mexico with my cloud i had to return it to repaired,it was full of honey oil building up in the male joint on the cloud and the glass long glass tube inside the cloud ,i took a paper towel and rolled it up and put ISO on the in and slowly put it all the way in the tube and the male joint and that's how i cleaned my cloud from both ends to send it to USA and customs. it was still warm when i clean i.

Thanks, Pappy. I used this same routine exactly last week. Nice to know - after the deed was done - that this is the "official" procedure.

A detail I noticed was that there is more build-up under the small lip right where the joint meets the down-shaft. Took some elbow grease and extra ISO to remove the hardened thin ring of resin there. I had noticed the build-up forming but waited longer than I should have before cleaning. Now I'll be keeping an eye on this spot and doing this cleaning regularly.

RussyRoo, that's a substantial reduction. Would you please elaborate? (I'm using the same amount as I did in my EQ, but my routine is different now with the Cloud so making a quantity comparison is difficult.)

To clean my cloud I dip a q tip in alcohol then scrub around the bottom of he joint where it gets dirty. Then I turn it over and rinse the glass tube with iso. I squirt quite a bit through it. Then I rinse by squirting some water through it. Let it drip dry for a few minutes then turn it on to dry. I figure I'll get reprimanded for this but it works great. Just don't spill any liquid outside of t he glass tube.

I concur with these caveats...
1) An elbow load is slightly smaller than my ELB load, approximately .25 vs .30 gr. I vape around 4 bowls a day so theoretical I could conserve .2 gr. a day, a negligible amount IMO.
2) Because the Cloud draws so much easier and tastes so much better than an EQV, I sometimes find myself vaping 5 or 6 bowls a day, LOL.

3) Because elbow loads parch my throat I was incapable of vaping more than 4 bowls a day on an EQV. The VXC parches my throat not at all or considerably less.

Oh well, I soaked my EQV elbows and DBV wands too and SM never claimed the VXC was a maintenance free vape.

I clean my glass elbow joints every month in iso/salt. I noticed when vaping kief mixed with herb, more residue seems to occur at the joint.

Sure thing, I agree my routine has changed a lot as well, which probably accounts for a big part of that usage difference, but I'm still getting vaked for the same period of time I'm just using it in a different way. I think my tolerance is definitely consistently lower than it was when I was only using the EQ. To be fair I could have easily conserved more with my EQ, but I tended to get lazy and didn't elbow pack all that often as I found I would have to pack at least 2 per session and it was a bit of a hassle when you could just dump it in the bowl. I would pack a big bowl and usually cash it over the course of a couple of hours, if I felt I needed more I would load another bowl and continue (for another couple of hours) which I think put my tolerance up quicker. With the cloud I find the size of the ELB definitely helps better regulate how much I use. I hit it till its cashed then it makes me stop and think "do I really need another ELB" the answer is usually "hell no" and I switch it off and put it aside (the auto cut off is useful too), and only come back to it when I think I need it a few hours later and have another ELB. The cloud gets me really high from the get go and it takes me a while to come down, whereas the EQ I always felt the need to top up as I went along. So I guess I find it just helps me keep track of my usage and manage it better. The high's are clearer and more soaring (if that makes any sense) the EQ tends to put me into more of a steady fog. For those who are more diligent with their EQ's and elbow packed, etc, then I can see why it might not have such a drastic impact on conservation. I never had a problem hitting the EQ all day long if I wanted to, didn't experience a parched throat like pappy reported so I guess I was maybe lucky in that regard. I can see like pappy said that there is also the temptation to keep hitting the cloud all day, but if I cut off at 1 ELB at a time then I'm finding I get to where I want to be and I'm keeping my tolerance down. I based the "1/3" on how much I'm having to spend on bud now, but I'll crack out the scales and start taking a more accurate measure.

I'm going on a trip next week with a couple of guys with EQ's. We're all going to take our vapes and do 5 days of side by comparisons with the EQ and the Cloud, I'll report back with hopefully a more accurate study of economy after that.
