So, using my friends bong with the PD inspired me to get a small straight tube. I worked an extra day this week so I decided to treat myself. :) I went to three LHS to compare prices and quality and found one I did like, all the others had nothing I was looking for. The sticker said $60 which is already over priced for such a small chinese import but upon further inspection I found the downstem was had very very poor cut diffusion holes, I told them this, asked for a price reduction and they weren't budging. Even waited for the manager who was on his way. Worked out because while I waited I found this live Chicago album at the salvation army. Any how I had to buy another downstem with nicely cut slits  . I wanted to say fuck you and buy a quality piece online, but I went to town with a mission and had my mind set. Anyhow $70 and this thing rips very nicely. Dragless and with impressive diffusion, stacks higher than I expected. Works amazing with the PD, perfect size  . Got home, called my friend over. Hooked up the semi-warm PD he ran over, gave the whole piece a nice dawn scrub down (don't trust it un-cleaned). Popped in the new record and went to town. 3 stems out of it and I am feeling incredible :D . Happy with the purchase, though I know it was way overpriced and got ripped off on the "stock" downstem.

Wow. Well thats the price one pays for convenience. You can always acquire glass a different way next time ;) But as long as you ENJOY it, its not a rip off

thats really a good sized piece though, cause my my mini beaker is similar sized and works really well with it, but IMO the PD goes best with the 11" straight

edit: and cleaning new tools is always a good idea! I just use ISO and give it a quick wash.

That is a sweet piece of glass but man did you pay the price for it. I recently bought a 12'' beaker here in Colorado with a 3-tree percolator with diffusing notches with a 6-slit diffuser for 60 bucks. That little thing looks like it should work well for purely vapin' though. Is it 14mm glass on glass?

Yeah I do think it is the perfect size, it works great.
Iso and salt works like a charm.

Yeah I bet that things are a bit better in a big medical state than Upstate NY. You got it 14/18mm downstem and 14mm slide, though it isn't shown. I know it was overpriced, but I was determined and it has actually gone over my expectations. I expected drag, and chugging with poor diffusion but the bubbles stack well and even with the regular push slide it has no noticeable drag.

Thanks HighSti

That's a good standby, a couple tasty ones - then a classic that's a little less expensive. ;)

We were fortunate to live in Rexburg, ID one summer. But almost all my photos from that period were destroyed.

:( Still plenty of memories, right? :)

Last shot from my first visit there!

Lwien, the winner will be drawn at random. I do not 'pick' THE winner. That will be done by Ant Re-Namer and done on video. So, the Grand Prize is easy and will be awarded fairly. If you have followed our past contests, I try to set it up, so everybody gets an equal shot at winning. I don't want to 'choose' a winner and won't. The other 'category' prizes will be up to Pammy (the artist of the family) to decide.

Yes, shvetaketu42, lots of good memories from the area. ;) Including an heated (by natural hot springs), indoor swimming pool, at the end of a long road into a canyon in the middle of nowhere. Don't know how we found it... Visiting the East? Fork of the Snake River, where it comes up out of the ground... Our dog Booger (Jack Russel Terrier), messing with Buckshot the bull and finding out who was boss (we were staying on a large working farm).

Here's a pic that I submitted before the contest on how to maximize the PD's portability while connecting with the beauty and solace of nature

Pic of the Day

Last in the books: Dali. My personal hero when it comes to art. I was fortunate enough to go to his museum in St. Petersburg FL. My dream would be to visit the one in Spain. Maybe one day.

I used to run my volcano at 5.5 which equates to the 360 range I guess?
Ready and excited to order, not so excited for the wait  , can anybody tell me HOW MUCH cooler the myrtle runs than the black walnut? Or which I may prefer/why I would?
Having trouble deciding between walnut and myrtle. Thanks FC
