Hey all,
I am planning to give all of my stems a good clean soon, it hasn't been done before now because of problems getting into town to go to the shops to get the iso, but this has now been sorted.
So a bit of a question, what product exactly do I need to be getting to clean the tubes?
I know isopropyl alcohol is needed, but is this something you can go down the local shops and buy in a pure form?
As I have read elsewhere that rubbing alcohol contains this iso stuff, so any help would be appreciated as I have never used iso before, and I don't want to accidentally get the wrong product. As I know they often put quite nasty chemicals in this sort of stuff.
Also, where is a good place to get Iso? I am in the UK, is it something that say a super market such as tesco would stock, or is it something that generally hardware stores do.

In the UK the only place I have found iso is a Chemist. Just ask for rubbing alcihol or just isopropyl. It is sold as IPA (isopropyl alcohol) and 70% is the highest concerntrate I can find but does the job fine.

If still haven't got it, and you're anywhere near a professional cleaning equipment type store they might sell it.

Thanks for the link to the site where I can buy it, sounds like just what I am after, though I am not at all sure which cap type would be the best to go with, for filling the tube cleaning bottle, as the spout and finger sprayer sound good, its so hard to know without physically seeing the product.
Is it OK to put the tubes mouthpiece down in the cleaning bottle? would the plastic of the mouthpiece react with the iso?
I am thinking of when I come to clean the tube I filled the wrong way.

Hello all after much research, I decided to go the vapor route. I'm currently on a forced 2.5 month T-break, as I'm working at a fishery in Alaska for the summer, but upon my return to the lower 48, I'm gonna jump right back into it.
At first I thought I should invest in a huge bong to take advantage of my lack of tolerance, but after reading about the efficiency of the PD, I think it would be my best bet. If 4 .025g bowls is enough to get someone with a tolerance ripped, it should be even less for me - the PD should pay for itself in saved money, cause I pay $20/g around here.
Of course, I only put the order in yesterday, so I have a while to wait, but hopefully it'll be home by the time I go back in early September. I'm pumped

the baggies from left to right:
hash I made with 3 friends yesterday and sunday, nepal from a coffeeshop and nepal from another coffeeshop
the last is really soft, so soft that I can press it to about the thickness of a rolling paper between my nails, with only minima handwarmth added, and a few pieces with that thickness works well in the pd(the stem in the pic is filled with that weed to the right with a few pieces of that nepal in between)
stem lasts long with a nice nepalflavor

Do you know a PD from a hole in the wall?
now, the long waiting game starts... my Black Walnut unit is ordered and will hopefully be waiting at my doorstep upon my arrival home (assuming my nosy parents don't break open the package 
). I have a few questions, though.
Firstly, how different are the highs from vaporizing and combustion? I'm a big fan of combustion (or so I recall, it's been almost two months now :/) and the 'cloudy' feeling people describe here is something I feel I may want. It seems contradictory that it the high is clearer and more 'cerebral' (whatever the hell that means) but also stronger. I'm hoping to conserve my herb and push my dollar further, without detriment to the experience. Many a fun night has been had by me with combustion, and the health effects haven't caught up to me yet - I just don't want to receive my unit and find that the high is not as strong.
Secondly, is it absolutely vital to dry your bud before use? Is there a method that should be followed? I'm used to fighting against drying my nugs, and I thought that the volatile compounds lost to the air would be some of the psychoactive ones I was after.
