.....with all the bullshit we're ingesting into our bodies...(the water....toxins in the air...riding public transportation...standing in line at the supermarket...etc...) a little iso on a wood piece....is the least of my concerns...

doesn't Iso evaporate if you let it dry long enough? Why would there be concern of it fouling up the stem?

...you just inhaled something...just as bad as iso...right now...
they had a woman on "fresh air" the other day who had her breast milk analyzed.....they found compounds from the flame retardant present in her sofa...in her breast milk......we have all kinds of shit in our bodies...welcome to the "modern age"...

Ed, I really am intrigued by your new stems! However, i'm still stuck on getting the wood spic and span clean of vapour resin. I understand the damp pipe cleaner method, but somehow I don't see that getting it completely clean, plus it would require some sort of a hot water rinse which isn't good for wood. If I could put these cleaning worries aside, i'd be so down for the wood! It's the wood that makes it good! lol

Back in my combustion days, they had these "baseball bat" type pipes that you would fill the bowl part with and it had a little hole for the flame. Well, back in the day my buddy had a WOODEN "bat" we called it, and then I wanted one, but they ONLY came in aluminum after that, so we had a wooden and aluminum bat lol I think they stopped selling the wooden ones for hygiene reasons?
Just to let you know I have a few of Ed'sTnT stems for my MFLB and my Zaps. They get a lot of use and I have never had an issue with getting them clean. After several passes with a damp pipe cleaner they no longer smell of resin ime. Also, they are really well crafted items that feel great and that adds to the experience for me.

I come from Houston, (stinkadena (pasadena) to be exact) gawd only knows what I have been exposed to... growing up a few miles from the ship channel and all those chemical plants, I am surprised I am as healthy as I am these daze...
I live in OR now, a much cleaner place to be...well in comparison anyway.

I am pretty sure that once all the Iso evaporates, you won't have enough residue left over to worry about, if you can smell/taste it, it's not evaporated fully. Maybe an assist in the drying process would help, a hair drier on a lower setting maybe?

Going to be ordering my solo tomorrow! I'm buying off of eBay and the one I'm looking at now is a m107 but it comes with two bent stems instead a bent and a straight. How would you guys go about hooking up a bent stem to an 18mm piece? Im thinking about getting the adapter from pv but maybe you guys know a better way.

Why not order from one of our supporting retailers like puff it up? They will match any advertised price and have excellent customer service.

I didn't know puff it up would match prices! I just look at their blog and found what you're talking about. Thank you very much!

PlanetVape & you folks here have had 100% of the credit for my enjoying my Solo.
I am enjoying the variety of stems for this device.. and I will have an Ed's TNT Cocobolo Solo Stem in my hands before the week is out.... the chance to use an Ed's TNT stem with yet another vaporizer makes the Solo an adventure as well!
BUT ... I already have Planet Vape stems to check also... and have been experimenting with the fineness of screens as well as trying out hammered screens as many of us saw TV (inventor of Toasty Top) trying in the past.
The PVHES Turbo Tube is missing the glass plate that contains the 2 ..or 4 holes that the solo stems have now. It is wide open and a screen is the "divider".
I use the tube here and the Solo to vape hash oil.... and stem oil cleanings.

Vito you are so lucky and awesome!

First to try the new tubes, and using your cotton trick, it looks like a match made in heaven :)

I can't wait to try these - they look like the eagle has landed.

Really nice video - thank you!

I understand they will be up on the planetvape site pretty soon.
My "turbo Tube" was a prototype that I was lucky enough to test out... Planet vapes final version is an improvement over this design, I am told... which is pretty hard to believe!
I just realized something.. since Sessnet's gift, and testing the prototype, I have not used the bent stem once! (I also have not had the stem wobble or come out once.)

I am who I am and your approval isn't needed!
Looks great Vitolo & thanks for the vid !

I need to try that cotton swap trick & don't know why I haven't yet at all. In your vid, I'm quite surprised how quick you hit it after placing the stem, and how quickly it produced vapor ?!!? OUTSTANDING

Hola Vitolo. I really like your videos. Specially the Happy Face at the end. Looks like you finally reach peace in your mind. Happy to see you like that :)

Thanks for the video Vitolo, using q-tips is a great idea that I wouldn't have thought of. I'm also very jealous that you got ahold of a PVHES prototype, I've been checking the PV thread compulsively so that I don't miss the first release haha. Anyway, I was wondering if you could describe how the prototype stem compares to the standard stems in your experience (although I know the final product will be different, I'm still interested)

Without the 2 or 4 hole partition, naturally airflow is greater.
An ultra fine screen restricts this flow ever so slightly, as does a well hammered screen.
There is no need for hesitation to fill the stem tip to the brim... and then to tamp it down firmly.... there is no concern about restriction, and so ....
....yes, the turbo stem does give monster hits, from start to end.
The stems with the holes also work great. The difference lies here in that it becomes desirable to use a bit less herb in the original and later version of the original stem.
I have been loving the GonG stem... but I think the Turbo is an ass kicker!

I remember PlanetVape saying that they initially wouldn't sell these stems without the glass holed surface (Turbo?). Am I wrong?

It is my belief that they are rethinking this because of the test results. It sure gives a good hit!
