Discontinued Purple-Days Vaporizer

Milk

Mike
Jeffp, looking forward to your return. This is one of the best contests for sure - the duration is nearly insane. It was a great idea to get us all involved, to show a little bit of how and where our PD's live and what the community is interested in.

Pitch Black was released in August 2004 as a fall promotion (Halloween). I still have a can though it's half evaporated. Had one with my brother and Father when my dad changed houses a few years ago. Pitch Black II was crap (sour grape) intended to appeal to children. It didn't. Thanks to the community effort and many like minded posts pleading for a return - Pitch Black, original formula is available. If you have not tried this, find some.. it's only in a few states. A can of this, near freezing, amazing. This is not an ad, haha. But seriously if you get the chance, pick some up.

Well I just looked out in the back garage/workshop. The record player is a Technics SL-D3 direct drive automatic. This.

And the amplifier is a Sansui Solid State 2000x. This.

Sansui.... They made some HQ stuff. :2c: Wow, wish I would see one of those at a garage sale. Oh and that's no slouch turntable either. What cartidge?

What Tom said is 100 percent true. You have a awesome receiver. If it's a little scratchy when you turn the dials it's because of dust. Just get some "tuner cleaner" at Radio Snack then apply a little to the innards and it'll be good as new. Turntable is fine. What about the speakers?

Thats great to hear guys! I'm glad it's great quality. :D Now I must get some speakers to put it to work. All it is hooked up to now is some crappy Dual speakers. They can get loud, but they don't sound good at all. :/ New speakers will definitely be my next thing to look for. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the tip Jeff, but I hear nothing noticeable. :)

Dynaco A25's if you can find a pair locally and cheap would be a perfect match.
Will make more suggestions later..

Pictures are fun. Today's PD Land pic is from the kitchen counter. A hand glazed planter from a local shop, I filled with succulents. Today we get a surprise.

Sansui was always known for a very low THD (total harmonic distortion). A clean, clean amp. And such cool wood cases, from back in the day of elegance.

Awesome colorful photos Tom - makes me envious of living outside of the grimy city.
Ripbongs - check out this site for general info about older audio equipment that's not very expensive. Working class audiophile, if you will.

First of a few record shots. Pretty awful album artwork IMO but still a great album. Maybe not my favorite Steely Dan album but "Haitian Divorce" and "The Fez" have always stood out to me in their catalog.
