IMHO email customer service is a bit sketchy....received a "we'll get right back to you" and then zero response...then a curt email to wait my turn.

If past estimates here of the number of pre-orders were anywhere near accurate (I don't know what the source was) then VXL may be roughly near the half-way point.

I know they are getting close, but my pre-order is from mid May '11, and so far no email to order yet. I'm not even sure if they have ramped up sales again or are they still involved in sorting out QC?

If you got an email for a pre-order but haven't done it will you lose your spot? I believe this was the original decision before all the cc bs that was going on, and that pre-orders could be filed at any time? I got my original email(I registered the first day it was open), got the first email, but never a follow up like some others did, so not sure what happened.

Right, there were the original pre-orders/emails, then much later there was the issue with the cc processor and all the emails associated with that, essentially resetting everything back to square one. Later VXL started fulfilling pre-orders and a couple months (?) ago new instructions were posted indicating that when your turn comes up you will be notified by email with account registration and ordering instructions, and that it is important to respond to that email immediately lest your turn be given to the next person in line. So if you haven't received another email presumably all that means is that you are just still in the queue waiting for your turn.

My credo when it comes to glass and all vape parts is "cleanliness is next to godliness". I've used all the solutions mentioned... I clean my glass every day or two. Rinse thoroughly!
Grunge Off is best
ISO with or w/o salt is good
Simple Green effective but causes stains on some glass.
White vinegar good for rings and water stains
Diluted CLR for severe deposits (caution)

*Haven't tried Zep from Home Depot yet but some swear by it!

If you were using vinegar for water stains, would you do a vinegar wash, then an iso wash?
Or Iso, then vinegar.

(if anyone else has an argument one way or another definitely comment

I use really hot water to get it mostly clean then a iso rinse followed by a filtered water rinse. Comes out really clean.

i cleaned my glass today. I get the white mineral deposits on my glass but the iso removes it... I do a soak with shaking for what probably takes between 5-30 min depending on how dirty i get my glass get. then once I'm done with that I run warm and then hot water though it to rinse it out thoroughly. It's not perfect but it's good enough for me. If i used distilled water on in my glass this problem would go away correct?

Unless you rinsed it out with un-distilled water (and didnt dry it inside) I suppose :/

(Because "filtered water" still has all the minerals that cause the buildup)

I got a question for those that have:

How many rips do you get per ELB? Roughly. I know it may vary depending on what you put in it. No concentrates, just flowers.

i find for the low grade stuff 4-6 rips at the 10:30 setting. Then i regrind and get 2-4 more at 12 o clock. then it will get whispy

for hi grade it's more like 7-12 @ 10:30 and then another 3-6 @ 12. then it will get whispy

I like to fill my elb's nice and full, but not packed in there... still loose. usually weighed .2-.33grams per elb worth of herbs in there.

as for hits. This thing makes ya blow huge clouds, so I try not to take overly huge rips! and I re breathe as i exhale to maximize absorption

I prefer an approx .2-.3 load which is ~2/3-3/4 full. (My drier material is more dense so greater weight per volume). With mids at 10:30 ~6+ hits and then another ~4 at 12:00. I'm not a power hitter, so the first couple hits are lighter, thereafter as thick as I can comfortably hold. Weedemon's note about overly big hits is a good one; very easy to do.

Ive used Zep before. It doesnt work any better than LA's Totally Awesome. LA's Totally Awesome is the best stuff Ive found and the price makes it even better.

What is the average warm-up time for the Cloud. As I wait for my replacement
Hydracirc, I am trying to get the vape dialed in. So far, set at 10 o'clock, its over
7 minute warm-up. Not here to fling poo, just makin' the most of 'er.....
