No Twang Bar? Is it blocked?

Don't worry Tom it's not blocked. It's not used often but I still love to break out the bar when I'm trying to get some Van Halen style effects or some Hendrix style dive bombs. :brow:

Today's submission: the PD next to some fresh stuff I picked up a few days ago.

Forgot to say, these things are not just pretty. You walk outside and there is some sweet, fluffy, sugary smell to the air. It's these damn things and they have not smelled until this year. They are a couple years old now and we will be planting them in the ground soon. We make our own soil blend so our plants and flowers tend to go crazy. The bees in the photo literally drank for a few minutes, stopped, then stood clawing onto the flower, another one would find it's way and do the same. After taking their fill they would fall to the ground, buzz a bit, then after ten minutes or so fly away. If only we could bottle that smell...

Wow Milk that is really pretty. From what your saying though it almost sounds like the bees are getting wasted on the nectar!

Great to hear from you Pammy! :)

Tom, you could be right, maybe we should copyright Piece Keepers. :D

friedricey, nice drawing. You should start up again. It's never too late to get out those creative juices.

Heres todays after two days of being too busy. Two great, fun creating, stress relieving, pieces of wood. :D

I've been having issues with the clip not reseating. I used a screwdrive once about two weeks ago, then I had to use the dowel a week ago, I used a screwdriver again last night and now it's already loose again this morning. At first it seemed like every time I took it in the car with me the vibration or something was causing it but now it came unseated from just sitting all night. Wondering how many times I can reseat it before I bust something permanently?

If you are having trouble with a product, KnaisGuy, contact the mfg. , our e-mail address is right there under the avatar. Also several e-mail links on our site. If you dislodge the clip and then let the heat exchanger beat the interior walls of the top hole out of shape, you will need an extra clip. Just write us.

I too thought the fish drawing was nice. All the pics are fun.

awesome photo nyc - i'm sure there are a few co-op board members who would like nothing more than for me to be evicted so i probably won't ask them to pose for a PD snapshot...
aren't you afraid of skateboarding in nyc? i used to ride my bike around the city alot but it seems increasingly dangerous.

Thanks :D
Im not constantly skateboarding longboarding, and im pretty careful. I dont try out really crazy things.

I like to cruise more then anything, but yes you can gain speed on city streets and sometimes there are obstacles, some of which can be dangerous. there are also various terrains you might encounter.
I think this really explains it well(I know its a long video, but its well done IMO)

a helmet is a must! always

oh and I dont skate in the fucking middle of heavy traffic like that, that is crazy

wow what a great video... very inspiring. it's funny that this subject just came up again for me because last week my daughter and i were walking around in queens and we started to talk to these two women hanging with their skateboards - we were both really turned on by the whole thing - they seemed like they were really enjoying themselves. one of them offered me her board to try on the sidewalk but i wussed out and said nah, thanks anyway but it looks really cool.... then.... "daddy why didn't you try it?" well i'm not a kid, i'm 56, i don't know... let me think about this...
so i'm thinking about it.
now.. check this out - around 1966 or 1967 i lived in long island and one of our neighbors, a woodworker, built a skateboard from a plank and roller skate wheels and gave it to me.
the guy told me it was "a skateboard." that he was fooling around and put this together and wanted me to have it.
do you have any knowledge of who invented the skateboard and when?

haha thats some old school stuff I dont know a lot about.
However I will say that I am really into the modern longboarding, as you could see in that video, one person related it to 70s skating styles. Its a LOT different then modern skateboarding, though in that video you could also see a lot of skateboard/longboard hybrids that people were flipping and ollie-ing and such.

longboarding really is more mellow, and longboarders are not often punks like street skating kids are, the attitude is much different but youre right to see that its all about having fun :)

dont worry, my father wouldnt get on one either

if you really are interested in skating you might first be interested in a balance board
http://www.lotusbalanceboards.com/
those ones are nice and I find them quite helpful to prevent your balance from getting rusty when you cant get out to skate

l dont want to get TOO off topic in here so we can chat through email if youd like

wow i HAVE a balance board and I really like it. it's a "fitterfirst" - makes great logical sense practicing on a balance board before going further.
do you like the lotus better?

yeah of course re email...

hah! Very nice! I like that one. I have one that is a little different, from a brand called Vew doo, it has like a track along the bottom of the board, so its a bit easier, I have had that one for quite a while. I have used a board like yours in physical therapy, I can tell it really is a workout!

I feel like that Lotus board would be more difficult since its pretty much a flat board and a roller as far as I know(sounds like a ripoff when I say it that way :p) which would make it more difficult then certain other boards. I think they all help to improve balance though.

continue in email now

OK last off topic - I think I'm going to get the Lotus for my daughter's birthday - it seems like a perfect gift; that she can potentially get a lot out of it.
Let's stop this tomfoolery before we're thrown off of FC!
