They do have some nice pieces, eh NewSchool? I have dedicated myself to getting a Leviathan next (esp if he makes a bubbler)... but I've found many choices in this thread, that either are close to, or do rival the HQ glass blowers. You could buy an A+ collection, just courtesy of the Broke Bastards Glass Consortium!

How does that $40 bubbler from pipesdaddy.com work with the Solo? Do you need to attach a whip to the Solo and then connect that to the adapter on top or can you just use the Solo upside down with the stem in place of the bowl?

If you have the 18mm adapter, I don't know why not. I have that bubbler, not that vape. I think its sufficient to hold a Solo though. Easily. However, I found that bubbler while a decent vapor piece, is woefully lacking for oils, which is what I had set it up to do. Even as nice as my MiO is, with my MFLB... its just not right either. I'm not expert enough, in oil's use to really know what to expect (well, NOW I know). One thing I needed was more volume (for air to) and better percolation. So @#$% @%&^&*@$!!!!! I went out and spent more $$$ for something to use with my Eclipse H2O (which I do like, its a breeze to use) and my PureGOLD (bliss) oil.

$60 cash out the door, tube and perc were separate pieces, got them to bundle (plus I had a $33 store credit). THICK glass, inline is closed end, fires well (even and no chug). However, I am going to have The Guy In Oregon Who Blew My Downstem, make me another showerhead for this piece. Its nice, drag rivals a much smaller and pricier piece. It can be better, with a quality downstem. Little loud on the clear... but makes the oil vapor feel just like hitting off my MiO and MFLB.

I give you, THE ANNIHILATOR!!!

DrPiff its so true lol I initially set my budget to 150 but ended up buying a $300 LW15 bub lol because I felt that it had greater value but at the same time this thread posted a lot of non branded quality glass at affordable prices. Once I have some savings I am going to buy another lol or maybe/hopefully my cloud order is called upon lol

I have a SYN Mini Beaker, and based on the quality of it, the kettle bubbler will be made very well.

IMO that sort of perc isn't really worth it though. (I just looked at it again, its a downstem - so you could upgrade later if you want to, that's a plus :))

Its a similar overall style, but has a really nice looking showerhead...

It doesn't have the removable downstem (which might make it a little bit harder to clean), but I would almost guarantee that the MGW would stack higher/diffuse more.

That piece does look beautiful and already comes with a showerhead. I noticed it has a male slide though, when all of the other similar pieces have a female. Pardon my noobness but will this still work when trying to mate a vape to it?

It having a male slide, means it has a female connection at the top of the Bub.
This is more common, and far easier to mate a vape to :).

If it has a female slide, that would mean it has a male joint at the top, which is better for using a nail/dome, but you then generally need a female to female adapter to mate most vapes with it.

And the new piece, broke this morning. Guess the much thinner glass on the female slide/neck doesn't like the extra long stem (only thing I had), weight of the inline and it and the stem twisting in the slide. Going to take it back of course, don't expect they'll give me anything more than store credit. Going to have to find something that can handle this inline. Think I'm just going to use my 18/14mm stuff, until I can buy a 18mm from The Guy In Oregon Who Blew My Downstem.

Karma's a bitch and she bit me... grrrrr.

Should have just saved a bit more and bought one of the Ehle's.

EDIT: OMG IT GETS WORSE! The damn too long downstem, just broke to!

EDIT II: FUCK! It get's worse! Top of my 8-arm tree perc w/ Dewarr joint, is cracked like 1/3 around the joint. Still works. But, damn. I'm cursed this morning.

Never fear. BDV can't be held down. Death tried to take me and I kicked his ass. Damn cheap POS glass isn't going to strike any blows!

So I took the tube back today, knew it was going to be credit. At first, he grabbed the same one, with a pinkish, washed-out red glaze job and I let him know, I didn't want the same POS I was bringing back. Plus! Do I look like I want a f'ing pink bong!? Dude...

We start looking at other options and I SWEAR he grabbed sessnet's piece above, except the colored glass started at the top of the tree. Funny, almost went home with it. Thanks for the offer, man. I'm good. I took some heavy blows yesterday, but I've ALWAYS got my MiO and I could hit that with a brick and the brick would break.

So he then offers up this piece. I take a quick inventory. Cheap glass, check. Crooked 6-arm perc, check. Laughable weld between lower and perc chamber, check (looks like it shifted slightly while cooling). Downstem tends towards the left, check. HUGE BASE, won't tip over, if I hook up an aircraft carrier perc. Perfect... I decide to trade my broken POS for their working POS.

Got home, filled it up. Hooked up the inline. Of course... it works wonderfully. Crooked tree fires fully, shorter, more substantive female slide. HUGE rips.

Wow that actually looks serious. If glass was always clear like that, it wouldn't look as silly to me, and more like scientific glass, but it probably also wouldn't hide the imperfections.

My Amber colored POS remains unloved :ko:

Honestly, I thought long and hard about that piece. It was actually better quality/cleaner than the 2 POS we were swapping. The amber was rather disturbing though. :cool:

Again, I truly appreciate the offer. You're the HQ quality type people, that keeps others coming back and more joining.
