Yea, maybe you're right, I don't want to fork out for another one now but I could afford it ATM so it maybe better to do it now than find something else go wrong in the future when I'm not cashed up enough to buy one straight away.

I only suggest it because I have back up's, and it gives me peace of mind knowing I always have a spare if I need it. It's also nice to be able to pack up two MFLB's if I am going to be out for a while. :)

Thanks. That link is the place I bought my box from, they are good, I hope they can help me out this time, they generally supply great service.

Vicki, you're right, a backup could be a very good idea. At least I wont stress the next time I have a problem.

isn't that the older model MFLB in that link? doesn't look like it has the click lock

does it make much difference?

I am not a representative of MF, but like many here, I have dealt with them numerous times. Each time, its a pleasure dealing with them. This thread is what, getting close to 17k posts and I've yet to read a bad experience with their warranty department.

Again, not speaking for them. But, in every replacement case I've read of. Magic Flight, will allow you to keep the broken box (if its still usable, keep using it). Once you receive the new box, since you're an International customer, they will most likely ask for proof the box has been destroyed, or rendered useless.

But, when people ask, if their box is covered... I always go back to the Shit Box. If they'll deal with that... I can't think of much, they won't.

The click-lock made a lot of difference on my first box. It held the lid in place, even on most drops. However, after the lid broke, when I dropped it while it was open... the replacement, just isn't the same. Vapor-wise, it works the same. In fact, it might even work a little better, though that's probably due to improved technique, from long-term use. The fit and finish, eh... not as nice. My first box, was hand-picked by one of their employees and was a beautiful box. The new one, appearance is meh. But, I always choose function over form, anyway. So its just not that big a deal. If I want a truly gorgeous one, I'll buy one when they release the next exotic versions.

One another note: If wonder if the PA is covered under the lifetime warranty? While its an accessory. Its also a serialized accessory.

Thanks Big daddy, by the sounds of things I wont have to send it back to the USA, the company I bought it off here have just told me to return it to them and they'll replace it within a few working days, so hopefully I wont be without it for too long.

When a company outside of the US that deals with MFLB handles the return, I believe they also send the old box back to Magic Flight. Magic Flight says it is for quality control purposes.
I called and asked about the PA, and was told it has the same functional lifetime warranty.

Thanks.

What about bubble hash / budder? Probably a no go id guess but worth an ask.

Budder should be fine, it's basically processed oil. At least some Full Melts will probably not work well, they foul out Omicrons and Revolutions (and DARTs) with residue. Super Melts, OTOH, seem to 'vape clean'. Bubble hash is basically screened kief, it's not going to work as I understand it. Shatters should also be fine.

Only solvent refined concentrates is probably a good rule?

Thanx Big Daddy, I like the clicklock it's handy and fits well with the KISS style of design, my launch box is pretty bland to they eye too, but the simplicity and sheer usability of the design make it a thing of beauty.

I'm a bit paranoid about using my Launch Box in public since I'm an unlicensed med user, just wondering if y'all have any stealth tips you'd like to share.

one thing I'm considering is getting a whip so I can keep the box out of sight and just suck on the whip.

for now I hold the box like it was an inhaler for asthma, holding the box with my fingers and pushing the battery with the heel of my hand and cocking my thumb as if I'm pressing down on the canister to dispense a dose, I still get some odd looks because it takes a lot longer to hit the launch box than an inhaler.

Damn you, Scholar!

I wanted to link that!

Balz, I've walked into Walmart, done my shopping, while hitting the MFLB native (no stem). Just wrapped it up in the palm up my hand, acted like I was rubbing my nose, stifling a yawn, etc... no one even glanced in my direction. Just make sure, smaller hits, or let any vapor you might release out slowly.

lol, that that rocks BigDaddy :) , I did 3 hit's in the grocery store line up day before yesterday but I just didn't feel safe, I'm pretty sure it's just a matter of time before my subconscious clues into the fact that I'm not in the middle of a big cloud of stink and smoke any more and without that nobody has any reason to pay any attention to what I'm doing.

One more question, I noticed to day that my launch box is starting to smell like pot smoke and got to wondering if it really does or if my nose has just tagged the smell of vapor as pot smoke, so I smell vapor and think smoke.

Usually, the majority of smell is in your stem. With the lid closed, it won't smell that much. Make sure you give the screen an iso light scrub (91% really does work better) and burn, you should be good. There are ways to scrape the bottom wood chamber, but unless you have steady hands and the right tool (easy as a mostly unwrapped Q-Tip)... I just leave mine alone. Don't care enough to try and clean it. Done it before, didn't make much of a difference. I run a Q-Tip inside the stem joint, but that's it. In my pocket, or in its usual place, a Burton "The Kit"... no one is the wiser.

Oh yeah, standing in line is a bit conspicuous. Try while you're walking around, along in an aisle, etc. No one will notice you. Unless you combust and torch that trench. lol.

BTW, most of this advice, are things I've learned from some very wise people in this thread. I've learned a lot thru my own experience, but I am not the guru in this thread. I'm not naming names, because I wouldn't know when to stop.

There is nothing this box can't do!

I'm not so sure that's absolutely true. Several times I've asked mine to do something about the state of the economy, and while I usually feel better after the discussion, I wake up a few hours later to find nothing really useful or long lasting has happened.

Still one has to keep trying.....

Next up, we work on Immigration Reform.

Anyone know how I might adjust my LB's negative contact coil? I find myself having to hold down on the PA insert to ensure contact, if I twist it I hear electric play, feel like I'm not getting everything I can out of my box anymore. Emailed CS but still no answer so I came here.

You're using it wrong OF (how often have we heard that in this thread?)

Dish them out, ready loaded and charged at the Capitol. The Box will do it's magic and we will see a vast reduction in the amount of squabbling, an increase in the quota of love and tolerance, and the economy will be sorted in short course. :D

Oh, I like it! We block the doors from the outside. Wheel up a LB carved from a Redwood tree stump filled with all the weed the narcs find in a week and hook that sucker up to Hoover Dam. We stick the business end of the biggest stem Ed can make in the window and fire it up......

And we don't let 'em out until they sort it out.

Brilliant! When do we move?
