Discontinued ThermoVape Evolution

Slightly Medicated

Thanks! Bob Loblaw... Law Blog... Sorry just had to say it.

Thanks for the video... the DART looks great. I just ordered one as well.

I just got myself fully sorted out. I think I ordered almost every type of vaporizer except the liquid adapter.

Currently I have in my possession:

ThermoVape Evolution Kit - White

I got myself:

Evolution to Revolution Adapter (White / Revolution with Loading Window)
Evolution to T1 Adapter (White)
Evolution to Revolution Adapter (DART Essential Oil Vaporizer - White\Delrin)
ThermoVape Revolution Glass Adapter - High Temperature PTFE
ThermoVape Non-Stick Vapor Tool (It looked cool)

I am okay with having the DART and the Window loading system. I kind of want to try them both out and see how each works. The DART looks much nicer though in terms of how it works. I think I will use the oil that I get in a syringe with the window loading. I also get some nice oil that comes in a vial. I think the DART system will work better for that.

I am also interested to see how the T1 compares to the Evolution. My biggest complaint is that the chamber in the Evolution does not fit enough material for me. I think this new set up will provide me with some foo options for portable medicating.

Well now, this is interesting. Took a large dab of bho, .1 or so, wrapped in a little cotton as I like to do with my cloud, and loaded it into my Evo. Sweet fancy moses does this take good!!! soooo good.
The hits aren't nearly as thick and satisfying as with the rev, but they're still effective and super super tasty. If you're an errl head, you will definitely want a rev or a dart, but if all you have is an evo and wanna puff on some tasty, smooth errl rips, it is definitely doable.

Also had another session with my Evo too. It's a pretty fuckin cool apparatus. I defnitely need to up my battery supply.

Couldn't resist the 25% off, just snagged the evo interface, that puppy gets hot. Not too hot to use, even after two bowls, but still hot enough that I want the interface. Snagged a dart and some extra orings too, they just might come in handy one day. Soo many new fun toys to play with :D

I was lurking a few days ago and decided to purchase one for myself as a late birthday present.
Takes a couple practices to learn, but it's amazing once you know how to use it.

Just bought another set of batteries and a tube for my current ones.

Would it be a bad idea to try vaporizing something like almond oil in cotton?

Also B, does the cotton affect the taste at all? Can you taste it?

Cotton is from a plant and probably pretty pure cellulose or something, does that give off anything?

The cotton doesnt add any flavor at all, and ive hit bho cotton balls in my cloud and HA on full blast, they come out lookin just like when they went in, except for the errl stain.

I got the idea from someone in another thread, forget who tho. Maybe the HA thread? Who knows.

short answer, yes. don't vape food oils other than glycerin

That ultralight is so cute, I almost want to get one just because it's so tiny. Not at all practical, but I could run my home made 510 hash hitter on it. It's standard 2.4om, and won't heat up the unit much at all. Hmmmmm:evil:

Seems to me a guy saying it's "Not at all practical" is only guessing. Fur sure such a guy has never tried his DART or Revolution on one.....or if he did he wasn't paying real good attention.....

Great Scott!
I need some opinions here. For someone using kief as their concentrate (I have a sifter box but no hash around here EVER that I can find) is the dart or the revolution a better buy? I have the T1 right now. Should I just stick to the kief sandwich method, or will either of these concentrate vapes give me a good experience?

i wouldnt advise a dart/rev for kief, the t1 can handle kief way better. Making BHO is reallllllly easy tho, watch some vids on youtube. I highly recommend tryin, BHO really is on another level compared to kief, IMO.

The rev/dart are really made for melty hash, oils, waxes, budders. Powdery hash tends to gum up the works, but you can always iso soak/boil/20-20 burn it clean.

Bob-I'm happy to see a positive resolution. Making mistakes is inevitable, how a company recovers says everything. There are so many companies with exemplary customer service here on FC, I'm always impressed by TV, Magic Fight, VXL, Arizer and all the smaller operations that deliver such caring customer service. Cheers to all of you :)

AW IMR 18650 2000mah, 4 loads and counting..:)... I'll be back.

what are you running it with? I've got the 18650 Orbtronic 3100 mah protected Li batteries and waiting on my sabortouch to be finished and sent to me, and was hoping to get good results using the Evo with these batteries.

Not practical for me to buy it, not the device itself, sorry to confuse you. It was getting late, and after just getting the T1, and Evo. I really didn't NEED it, just thought how cool to have one. But then I'm not a guy, so maybe that's where it all started. Yer breakin my balls OF...oh wait...nevermind.

Pulled the trigger last night on the Evolution LV. Couldn't pass up the discount. I have been looking for something for when I am out and about and this seems to get the job done. Love the modular design, I see a Dart added to this real soon!

It should be able to handle it, but it's not an imr so it's going to be running at pretty much 100%
of it's max long-term discharge current:
Max. working discharge current
6.2A

Max. discharge current (peak)
8.5A

Should be fine but check to make sure it isn't getting too hot.

Understood, 'guy' is a generic term in this case. The point is I don't agree the device is "Not at all practical", the original statement. I've found it to be quite practical with driving DART or Revolution after Tim suggested I try it. I too had dismissed the idea without trying it and should not have. It turns out to be good for 30 or so solid hits from DART which can be a few days for me.

I strongly suspect anyone else trying this set up would find it useful (except guys like DubC vaping up .4 grams in a session who are in a whole other class I think). I therefore concluded that anyone saying it was not useful had never tried. I've tried it, IMO his has merit for some.

I don't use mine much, but it does work, and there are places where it makes the best choice IMO and should be considered for those in that market.

OF,
Alright, here is my take one the LV, no candy coated bs here. My first couple wacks at ended up in frustration, 18650 TF(2300mah) was the culprit along with a virgin TV product owner. I refined my draw tech, as I do w/every new vape, got a battery spacer so i could run my 18350 AW IMR's, and got down to testing...

I got it going good w/18350 IMR's, but on 2 separate tests in a row(well after charging) I got 4.25 loads w/.4g's meds vaped, 22 pulls(moderate clouds, i fit .1 or less in each load)on TWO IMR AW 18350's. It did the job well, I will not deny that, but each test took 30min+/- and I don't have that kind of time. I think their "50 pulls" on a 17-@#, is very heavily scewed, and is very subjective to how one uses it, I tend run my vapes hard, and this isn't that possible with the heat this puts out. I think my 2 18350's have got to be pretty equivalent to their 17#@#, I could be wrong though, I am a lot. Now I've never used a T1(to many batteriesforme), I see no better utilization of heat/power deployed here. Just scaled down, so warmup time is longer, and any "extra" power saved from LV, is wasted on warm up time. Sounds like the TV power units "MAY" get hotter than my Persei, witch gets pretty hot after 3-4 pulls. It doesn't bother me "much",but my lady with MS could never handle it, which is who these tools "unofficial" are ment for. I wasn't expecting miricles, but extra batt life would have been nice. I could get all day @work w/MFLB and 2 AA's, with 2 @ home on the charger, I'm not about to be going to take 2-3 18650's or 4-6 18350's out and about. It really can be pleasurable w/the right technique, time and plenty of batteries, but it should be known that battery life probably isn't any better than the T1/6vEvo due to extended warm up time. With all that said, I do really like my smooth flow a lot, and plan on someday trying(buying/Trading) the LV Dart, but I don't plan on keeping this LV EVO any longer, its just not for me. The craftsmanship is great, materials seem very quality, you can get moderate clouds, but expect a very hot hand and a lot of batteries in your fanny pack(OF, I'm looking at you). That's it, please don't burn me at the stake, as these are my honest opinions and I tried my darndest to keep a clear, unbiased head throughout trials. Sorry it didn't work out EVO, "it not you, its me", maybe your sister the Dart will suit me better?? Or not who knows.

Alright, i made a stink about power consumption earlier in this thread, and in a couple emails w/Tim.
Tim/thermovape team, I'm SORRY, I jumped the gun, and it was completely wrong. I feel terrible.
I thought 2 18350's would = 1 18650, i was wrong. Last night I got 6 2/3 loads down on 1 AW IMR 18650 2000mah, that's over 3 times as much as the 18350's I tested with before. I wrote the EVO off as a nice little toy that will suck your juice before you get off...once again, I was Wrong! Honestly, I feel terrible, if anyone read my concerns about power, and didn't purchase it because, I apologize, with proper juice(tim tested w/18650) one can achieve or get at least close to "50 pulls". I, in the future, will be more frugal with my words, and spend more time testing all these fun new vapes(FC anonymous anyone?)before I come to my conclusions and share them. I do still stand behind my thoughts that it needs a top of the line 3.7 mod, whether its a TV/persei/ or a couple high quality ecig mods, but that about all the merit ill claim from my posts early on in this thread. I can't wait to see what you and the competition push each other to do(competition is healthy). I hope there is a LV T1(510) on the horizon.
Once again, with all sincerity, I'm sorry Tim, I feel like a smuck, this is a great product.
Edit: to anyone that has a problem with the heat transfer, I stacked 3 thread adapters together(about 1" total) and have had a lot less heat transfer to the power unit.
