Hey everyone, just a quick update on the LSV Colors...

We have decided to add a cord strain relief to the LSV, and as such are going to hold off on offering up the color options until we have the new part added. I will will update FC when it's fully good to go.

The new colors look awesome, and we will be allowing you to mix and match your colors; there are four sections total. We have heard your feedback and will be adding new colors in the near future. I agree that we need a green, and also a yellow, to make the Rasta LSV. (Quick side note: the Rasta SSV is about to make a glorious return. Check back on the SSV thread soon.) About your feedback...we may not post on here as a company as much as I would like, but know that we do pay attention and monitor it at the very least...and of course your feedback is so important to us, and we believe it's vital to our success.

If you already own an LSV and want to get a cord strain relief, we will of course take care of you. More details will be posted here in a few days about the process)

Chris in Customer Service(a different Chris than I) will definitely take care of you, but please go easy on him until we make the concrete announcement about the different colors and cord options. Soon...very soon. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on here.

Awesome!! I made my own "strain relief" with some thick black gorilla tape wrapped around the base down to about a 4" length down the cord. Works ok, but it looks crazy ghetto. I would *LOVE* to get a cord strain relief that we can add on to our existing LSV.

As for the anodized, damn... would've gotten the black one if I had known, but whatever. My LSV is still awesome in silver :D And if the cord won't keep bending itself at those various scary bendy angles, it would just about be perfect!

Well, 4 sections to me sounds like
  1. End cap that you unscrew to use WPA
  2. Heat guard "Swiss cheese" section
  3. Main body
  4. End cap with power cord and warranty sticker
so 1 & 2 are easily replaceable, 3 & 4 not so much.
I wouldn't expect then to come out seperately, so :shrug:

Pretty stoked on the LSV colors! Not sure I can really justify (more like afford) buying a 2nd LSV, especially since like bOObs said, "this thing is crazy solid", but I bet that black LSV is going to look ssooo awesome at night when that ceramic starts glowing! Can't wait to see some of these new units, and the new cable strain relief (the one I have rigged up works, but it's not as pleasant looking as the LSV itself :)).

On another note, I have been eying that vortex knob on the LSV site for awhile now. I didn't quite have the funds to buy a new bub so I splurged and got my LSV some pretty new glass as a birthday present to myself. So far I love it! It actually makes it easier to adjust the temp when using it one handed, and it gives me something pretty to look at for a moment while it heats up :lol:. Without further adieu, a picture....

The lighting here doesn't really do it justice, but I couldn't wait, so it will have to do for now.

Wow that knob looks friggin nuts bro. If I wasn't so broke I woulda just bought one after seing that pic.

Thanks bOObs! I am quite pleased so far with both the function and the aesthetics, so I really hope they add some more premium knobs.

Since 7th floor obviously checks this thread occasionally I would like to throw out an idea while we are on the customization topic. How about worked heater covers :brow: ? Nothing fancy maybe some rake or even just some solid colored glass (maybe a cobalt or green... I'm sure some colors would work better than others). I figure some people (like myself :mental: ) have bought clear scientific glass bongs and still buy colored or worked down stems to make it somewhat unique, so why not give people like me an excuse to buy a new heater cover.

I personally prefer the regular silver knob on it, as it seems to have a bit more resistance to it, so I don't accidentally bump the temp as much.

Having said that, its a sick knob dude. :tup:

What I meant was sections 3 & 4 are basically totally connected, and I would think it would take some pretty serious modding to do a case swap on section 3, since that piece is essentially the vape :lol:

Just wanna say that this vape is killin' me!!! :ko::ko::ko:

I haven't really taken a shine to the wand too much...but as a bong hitter !!!FOOK ME SIDEWAYS!!! this thing is a killer - lovin' the zero drag. And using full melt in it is just :whoa:

Thanks Frederick. You do bring up a good point. The weight of the glass knob compared to the plastic knob is quite different, so it is easier to bump the temp up or down when handling, so that's definitely something to keep in mind if your prone to doing this. However, the weight isn't enough to change the temp on its own, and the unit does not drastically change temperature, so any accidental brushing is easily corrected. I have also noticed one other benefit. The plastic knob has a little tiny black line to indicate its position. The line is indented, but sometimes when you're trying to savor the vapor at night and can't afford to turn on the light for whatever reason... maybe a sleeping girlfriend with glass eyelids, :ninja: that line is often hard to determine (I often found myself using a fingernail and still having a hard time locating it), but I guess that is more of a personal issue :doh: . The marble that indicates the temp on the glass knobs is much more pronounced and I think it's easier to determine its position on the clock, especially in a dark room or when the LSV dial is facing away from you. :2c:

That's a good point.
I never vape in total darkness (always a TV or a lamp on) but I can see how it makes things a bit easier.

I often catch myself running my fingernail through that ridge thing too :tup:

You're right that the knob wont move temp on its own, but I've found that it can more easily move when setting it down for instance.

I'm mulling over an idea for a custom LSV heater cover, I'll let you guys know if it pans out ;)

Man i am jelly!!! I have LSV on my wishlist. Colors are a nice touch, a USA colored one be sweet with red, white or silver as the white and blue so everytime i vape it would be patriotic:D

Going over the LSV site and was wondering if any of you LSV owners opted for the lifetime warranty? and is it worth it i mean for a 150 thats almost another vape in my book but wanted to know what the users of the LSV thought first before making the purchase.

I had a quick question about the WPA adapters. I just received an 18mm WPA, and the hole is pretty much the same size (if not a little smaller) as my 14mm WPA. I imagined the hole would be bigger, but for some reason there seems like there's a huge choke on my 18mm WPA (probably more than necessary). Are your guys' like this? Here's a photo for reference:

mine are almost the same size. my 18mm looks slightly bigger. can take a pic if you need.

I went ahead and checked my two WPAs as well. I came to the same conclusion as you guys . The 18.8 adapter appears to be only slightly larger, and I think this might just be an illusion because I checked my glass wand and it also appears to have a hole that is about the same diameter. If I had to guess I would say the diameter of most of these attachments are going to be be the same directly beneath the screen in order to create proper airflow restriction. Basically, it allows your LSV to behave in a similar way even when switching attachments, otherwise you would have to play around with the dial a lot more when changing attachments. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm out in left field.

I think you're probably right.. it makes sense. Does the size of the WPA correlate with how much you have to stir then? 18mm being more stirring involved? Silly I got my 18mm WPA first and my 18mm glass is still on the way so I can't test it myself yet :p
