There is a small wooden (bamboo) spoon that comes with the Vapir NO2. It's actually an ear cleaner:

Also I have recently combusted with the unit which I have never done before, I think my unit is increasing in its temperature capabilities, or there is something defective with my device you humans call batteries.

:")
I combusted last night too :( had me an ABV spliff and then when I was using my Nug Jug Water Filtration System (TM)(C)(R) with my box I torched some of the bottom. Just wasn't watching it I guess.

And maybe you subconsciously drew slower or something. I know sometimes I change my drawing ways without even realizing it.

As an unrelated question, we all know that after maybe a half dozen hits, the taste starts getting less... magnificent. What exactly is responsible for the taste? Waxes? Chrolophyll? Been thinking about it since last night went up in... flames.

what is responsible for the taste in cannabis is the terpenes and terpenoids found in cannabis. they're found in a wide variety of plants. they are responsible for the aroma given to the plant. terpenes and terpenoids are vaporized at lower temps than the cannabinoids which is why your first few hits will be flavorful but become less tastey for the remainder of the session.

Vaped keif for the first time (just got a 4 piece grinder a week ago)... wow... Takes middies and makes them DANK.

Speaking of dank, I also picked up an 1/8th (wish I could have gotten more) of the best bud I've yet to get my hands on. Completely fire grape-ape. Smells exactly like grape candy and tastes really fruity. One .1g trench and I'm gone for hours.

It's keen all right. Too bad it means the rest of your herb gets stripped of some of the goodness and all, but it is what it is. It's much nicer as I see it in places where you can just buy grams of kief, but when that's not an option, this is the way to go for 'special times'.

It's important to keep in mind that kief and bubble can melt and foul the screen. Appropriate caution is advised if that's important to you.

Hello there fellow MFLB lovers! I have been lurking here for many moons and finally got an account so that I can contribute to others as I have learned from you all. Great community and fun reading in these forums. I'm rockin a "snick" mod box with PA an WPA using a 12" GonG beaker and it is a joy to use. I have vaped with this thing everywhere and that is what makes it so indispensable to me... movie theaters, roller coasters, concerts, bars, etc. Truly a game changer. Thanks to MF for being such a great company with great products and thanks to FC for this great forum!

Back on topic, I love the fruity strains with blueberry kush being my fav so far.

Whether it's too bad or not depends on whether you notice a difference that matters to you in the material that has had its kief collected.

I use a 4-piece grinder and collect kief:

SbrDA.jpg

I've never found that my grinder separates all the kief from the bud. Some strains give up more than others, but they all retain some kief. From my testing, I've never found that the missing kief makes enough difference to offset the benefit of being able to choose when I want the extra kick. This way I don't really miss it but I can add it to a trench when I want a special treat.

I only used pure kief in my LB once. It didn't ruin my screen or anything, but I decided that in future I'd always use a bed of buds. Pure kief melts together and cakes up and I can see how it could mess up the LB if you aren't careful.

Er... I totally worded that wrong. I know the terpenes are responsible for the taste and smell, but what I meant to say was what's responsible for that bad taste that comes AFTER you get those terps out? Is that just everything else?

I've never had a problem hitting a full trench of kief till it's done. You've just gotta pay more attention, take smaller puffs, and thoroughly stir. It takes more time and patience than it would take to just mix it with flower. I'll alternate between my four piece Sharp Stone and my two piece Space Case. I looove collecting kief, so much fun to look at, but it gets cumbersome to have to get the last part undone to scoop it out, screw it back together every time. I bought a small wooden crafts box and a bag of 8 small containers. I just barely got home from work and have a moderate amount of schoolwork to complete, but hopefully some time tonight or in the following week/weekend I'm gonna try to put it all together.

Heck, it bugs me after the first rip. That first draw off a fresh trench, is heaven. You can isolate all the little individual flavors. After that, its a pretty fast drop, in draw quality, IMO. As you're getting closer to the popcorn taste, it tastes like horse@#$%. Heaven forbid, you combust. UGH!

My water adapter has fell apart. The glass piece which is glued to the wooden piece just slides out now, whatever glue was used to connect them has worn off apparently. Does anyone have advice for how to fix it maybe a special type of glue?

Really? I can usually get at least 3 hits from a trench that taste magnificent, and then it starts to decline, and then there's that one rip where you think "where did I go wrong :( " until you realize you've been hitting ABV for a few minutes. ..

I might be guilty of that. In my defense, it was trench #2 :D

Also, I love love love how efficient it is. I can put just enough in the trench to last me a few hits, then take it out and repeat! Tasty hits, every hit.

Well, I have been found guilty of being a friend of hyperbole, on more than a few occasions. However, that very first draw, is the only pull that gives me the true taste of the bud. The vapor will be tasty afterwards and then kind of goes neutral... then the "WTF am I trying to vape popcorn for?" inevitability.

I would at least like the flavors of buds, known for their flavor... to be appreciated longer. Still better than combustion, which taste like charcoal, on the first draw. If you're not paying attention you won't even notice, anything other than the flavor of smoke.

Off-Topic/On-Topic: I just picked up some oil called PureGOLD, that I vaped out of my Eclipse H2O. Now that seems to hold its flavor very well, though I wouldn't rate the flavor high on any scales. A single drop and 3 big hits (with a few left on that same drop)... and I was medicated very well. Not a SINGLE pain in my back, during the entire period. I too, would like an answer to the question of where the Hell does the taste go!?

My water adapter has fell apart. The glass piece which is glued to the wooden piece just slides out now, whatever glue was used to connect them has worn off apparently. Does anyone have advice for how to fix it maybe a special type of glue?

I am not a wood/glass expert, however I didn't stay @ a Holiday Inn Express either... I might be willing to give wood glue a try, OR go to the hardware store, look for something with some heat resistance and will bond wood/glass (probably an epoxy).

How about none, Email MFLB and they will help you , don't forget you have a lifetime warranty... I cut my screen and got a new MFLB and I didn't have to return the broken unit...

Don't cut anything, until you contact them. Depending on your location, will determine how they resolve it with you. Yes, report it to Magic Flight. I broke my lid to. Right at the pivot point. A few of us have. I used Super Glue, it worked fine for about 4 months. Dropped it again and lost the little piece of it. Contacted MF, they sent me very specific directions of what pictures and info they wanted. Plus, what to do with the warranty exchange. Stateside, you will probably be asked to mail it back.

About the taste, i think the answer must be in the terpenes and oils and the temperature at which they are released. At some point, they are gone, and with them the flavourfull taste. After that, you still have some THC compounds as well as CBDs and CBNs, which is why you still vaporize a few more hits.

The bad taste is more difficult to explain. Of course it has to do with the black bits that start to show but i don't know if it is the lack of oils or the very high temps since at certain point it is just easier to scorch the herb.

Does MF offer a warranty on "accessories" like the WPA? Might be worth a try to contact them and ask.

How should I extract the honey which forms in my stem? I got a good buildup and I wanna vape it :mflb:

That's tricky...some ideas (although I haven't tried):

1. push a small bud through the stem with a stick, get it covered nice - vape!

2. Vito's trick is to use cotton, push it through there - vape the cotton!

3. If it's a glass stem - heat it up - the oil will drip out, maybe onto some bud?

4. Not to use now, but you can drop in an 90%+ iso bottle, evap later when you want...

Probably more ways out there. Unfortunately my glass stem broke, and I was building up a bunch of stuff! Now I am doing the same experiment to my Solo glass stems.

Collecting oil is fun! :ko:

I going to try fixing with super glue, because the box is still usable. Replacement for a worst situation!

So still no one can share what compact water filters they like to use. I feel that people who are com-busting using a water filter are doing so since you need more control when filtering and also the filter must have a small downstem / small bubbles so the flow pressure at the trench stays low.

I think you might have better success in the Glass forum. Its highly active, in discussion of all kinds of percolation and all price ranges. There's the Glass Snobs (I'm an applying member) and the Broke Bastards Glass Consortium... both group are knowledgeable and generous with info. Lot of MFLB owners to.

BigDaddyVapor,
Awesome, I am going to have to order one of these adapters! Looks like a great way to get more out of the MFLB. I will have to go get a power adapter too. I have a 2 foot with a 9 tree perc. Do you think it would work on that or will I loose some of the vapor? Awesome video!
