Da Buddha

I would get the adapter. Although it works it isn't as easy to get it in and out and doesn't look as cool lol.

VapeNStone,
Got a new piece and had to put up a vid. Also my awesome girlfriend found another use for the glycerin coil. Now I can add that to the bong as well!!!

VapeNStone,
its a Blown Glass Works bong. 17 inches, 7mm thick, beaker bottom, diffused downstem, 15 arm tree perc, and ice pinches! Got it for $150 at a local headshop during the 420 sales. :) Very nice. My next piece is probably going to be SGW waffler bubbler =P

here for the chicks
Hello friends,

I was at my local shop a couple days ago and asked if they had a water pipe adapter for my Da Buddha. They didn't, but the guy told me that I could just remove the mouth piece and stick the tube into my water pipe, and that would create just as well an airtight seal as buying an adapter.

I unfortunately don't have my Da Buddha with me, or my bong, so I can't test this. But the width/size/whatever of my downstem is 14, and that is the same as the tubing for Da Buddha, I think.

So should I save my money and not get an actual water pipe adapter? Will I be fine with this?

Yeah, the tubing fits in a 14mm downtube without adapter perfectly. I always used my SSV that way too. Just pull the wand from the DBV to clear the bong and tubing at the same time at the end of the hit.

OhTheAgony,
That is how I'm doing it in my video up there. I was going to get a water pipe attachment but thought it would be a waste of money when I can just stick the tube in.

Hello wise Buddha vaporists!

A friend of mine bought a Da buddha to her boyfriend last month, but he still prefer to combust for the usual reasons: his smoker friends tells him it's a scam after 30sec trial and he doesn't reach the effect he gets by combustion(european style : half flower/half tobacco :-S ) .

I ll eat by their house on Saturday, so i will try to show him how to use it at high temp , and how to handle the learning curve.
I used 3 times a Da Buddha and i found it very easy to use but if an every day user can give me some advice and correct me if i'm wrong, i'll have a chance to convert him to Vapor(his girlfriend hates the odor of burned tobacco , so it truly will improve their relationship).
My plan is to start it at full temp for 5 mins while i grind approximately 0.2 grams . Then put the dial at 1 o'clock , and make him take a long draw (slightly slower than regular breathing) , keep it in his lung for a while .

Do you think i can go higher than one o'clock ( the most cannabinoid he extract at one time , the best it is)?

Wich kind of draw speed would you suggest me?

I will of course , speak to him about the general approach of vaporization , and i'll bring my e-cig to suggest an alternative to tobacco for a while ( i know he won't go back there if he quit for 2 weeks :p ). The main problem is the influence of his friends who , because they didn't figured out how to use it , use now his vapor genie(gift from his brother) as a regular pipe, ceramic filter completely screwed Oo. Sad but true.

Thanks to all the buddhist who will help me in this mission!

I plan on getting a waterpipe attachment soon for 19mm GG. I think I might just order SSV's attachment, even though it is a bit pricier than some of the no-names I have seen, I have the peace of mind knowing I am in good hands :D

It appears, although I'm not sure that we use the same kind of tubing ( I use a vapor cannon ). Mine is the more 'fleshy' rubber stuff, not the hard 'siliconey' shit -- I hate that stuff -- I may have to end up ordering more tube because mine is only 2 feet long.

I'm wondering if it would be worth the effort to get a custom one (all clear with 4 blue dots) to match my BlueDot bong which I would be using it with.... any idea on the price mark-up?

Silicone is the fleshy stuff and the stuff rated for vape temps.

Potatobass,

Your friends boyfriend reaction is somewhat expected for a couple of reasons:

1 - The high from tobacco/flower is different from plain flowers because of the tobacco.
2 - The combustion high is faster and with more CBDs than THC, which give the stony feeling
3 - It is easy to dismiss the vaporizers because you are expecting the same results, although it is a different process. When people eat edibles, then don't complain it takes a while to hit them because they KNOW it is different. Well, for me, the vapor high is a mix between eating and smoking since it is more long lasting and slower to process but it is much more powerfull than smoking.
4 - When you first vaporize, you don't know what signs to expect, it is like you have to learn how to feel it all over again.
5 - Unlike combusting, you don't need to see much clouds to see you are doing it right.

Sometimes people are just not ready to vaporize or don't take the time to learn how to properly do it.

I would not start that high, let him enjoy the terpenoids first, they bring the best flavour to the vapor.
Also, teach him that it is okay to keep the vapor in for longer than in smoking since there is no CO to absorb.
About the draw, the slower the draw, the higher the temperature. So, what i do is, i start slow for 5 seconds and then slowly increase and stop before i get my lungs full. After that, i inhale a bit more of fresh air and wait 5 seconds and exhale, slowly and chewing like with wine tasting, so you can feel the flavours.

The knob position in relation to the temperature reached, is somewhat different between units. But the usual zone is between 10pm and 2am.
Remember to stir once in a while to keep an even extraction.

About the Genie, if he is using it like that, better use a regular pipe. The ceramic filter probably is full of soot now, and that is bad for the lungs. I suggest he cleans the filter with a torch lighter and give it a proper chance. It is capable of good hits and with time he will learn how to do it until he coughs. I used it with a couple of hardcore smoker friends, and the first few times they were suspicious, after one hour they realized they were high as a kite.

I crank my da buddha full blast when just hitting it through the normal whip and mouthpiece. You just need to make sure to increase your draw as your increase your temp. So I crank it full blast and just hit it like a madman. I can get huge ass hits this way in seconds and it has changed many of my "vaping doesn't get me high enough" friends. because when I first got the da buddha I had it turned down and you had to hit it all slow. They weren't getting it so I turned it up so they could too get huge ass hits and really feel what vaping was all about. People come over now just to hit the da buddha :) Although if your hitting it through a waterpipe then my advice would be different.

VapeNStone,
Damn can't edit! I was going to add that the da buddha makes a bunsen burner type noise depending on how hard or soft you suck. So that is how I explain to my friends how to hit it. When it is cranked I just tell them to hit it as hard as they possibly can and usually that is still to soft lol. But when I explain that you need that bunsen burner noise nice and loud to get it right, they then seem to get it. I have had many people combust in my da buddha because I turn it up so high, but its the best way to convert a smoker. But, lately I have been exclusively using it through a water pipe and when I do that I usually set my da buddha at like 1:30 2 o'clock.

Thx for all these answers!
I know the situation because i just faced the same situation when i bought my PD , years ago. But i stopped smoking because i had lung collapse, so i had no choice and it gave me the chance to truly learn how to fully appreciate my buds by vaporization(thanks to this website : at this time , the only vape you could find in france was the plastic taste vapir one,and the expensive herbo and volcano).
The thing is that he loved my herbo when he tried it so i think i can bring him to the good side of the force.

Vorrange: Thx for the tip to clean the vaporgenie filter, i will torch it and put some boiling water through it as said in the user manual ! It will help him to have a vape on the go... I actually love mine too ^^ i truly had monster tasty hit with it! i think i even like it more than my mlfb.

Vapenstone: good point on the full blast , and very good tip for the bunsen burner noise.

BigDaddyVapor: i'll give it a try and keep you in touch^^

Thxs to you all! I swear he is gonna forget his own name this Saturday night ^^.

Hey guys Im picking up a DBV tomorrow and I was wondering about the SSV standard heater I am not a big fan of the hands free. Is the heighth or the angle wrong? Can I just order the SSV heater cover?

Make note that the Standard SSV HC is for a DBV.. so they will get the height correct.
There is a slight variance, and you want tha "hole" lined up nicely.
This is not all that uncommon a request... so they will know what to do!
7th Floor LLC has had this request before~

Thanks guys I rescued a dbv from some combusters yesterday I should have taken pictures but I didnt want to make you all puke. The heater cover was broken and taped and filled with material and ash. It took all night to get the whip clean soaking in iso and it still smells like ash they must have ran this poor baby on max all the time there were ashes everywhere. Anyways gonna pick up and order some parts today and bring this DBV back to life.

Ive owned the vape for over a year before i had it fixed by ssv for the cord getting messed up. They also put a steel clamp on it which i already broke my old HC on

Any chance you could take a picture of the clamping setup they used to fix the cord? I am preparing to send mine to them next week for the same issue.
