I saw a carbon fiber-type heat absorbing/cooling thing on ebay. It was a sticker for phones, so the battery cools down fast. I'll try to find it for you

hey thanks holmes

*edit* i just checked it out. very cool material indeed. i was thinking more of a spray coating or something applied as a liquid then turns to a solid. like some sort of insulating rubber that can be sprayed or rolled/brushed on. almost like truck bed liner, but for heat. maybe a cerakote job... hmmmm...

i see tons of uses for that Grapene stuff, but would think it might start peeling at the edges if it were wrapped around anything.

i need to do something about the heat because my LV Evo gets the Detonator pretty fuggin hot before a bowl is kicked. even the delrin mouthpiece is darn hot on the lips. ive been searching for a mod that may address heat issues. then again im thinking i likely wont find much since only our application requires such heat. im not sure normal ecig heads use nearly the amount of heat we are looking for.

who gives a fuck?!? no one here

While a little harsh perhaps, and perhaps true at the moment, I'll give long odds we're about to get a glowing post from someone we've never heard from with less posts than I have fingers on that hand over there telling us how they love this so much better than their Volcano.......

Any takers?

fuck no! lol, perhaps a little harsh, but as was mentioned about rip-off artists on the cheap bubbler thread recently i find such behavior abhorrent. i already had lost my patience w/ these guys b4 they dropped their copycat carts. at least cop to such behavior. i never was someone who was ok with having my leg pissed on and told it was raining. am amazed at how many people will put up with such, lol. rather have to re-explain my position to a new visitor to this thread than have a noob waste their dough on these clowns

I'm with ya. I won't go so far as to call it a scam, but I can see how some might. I think it's fair to say it's at least deceptive and anything we can do to warn good folks away is good for them and vaping in general. Go for it, Bob, call 'em like you see 'em. Enough folks have wasted their money and time here to let us stand by watching more gleefully ride of the end of the rails.....or direct others to jump on board?

OF

I agree with Bob's sentiments, even if I'd word them quite differently.

The Gentleman's company has brought absolutely nothing of value to the table that I'm aware of, except maybe that G-liquid Compassion program... Of which I've received 1 shipment IIRC.

hey fellas, came across this board a few days back... wish i would have found it sooner:\

so i ordered up some of the honey oil carts.. tested it to make sure it heats up, all is fine.. loaded up a bit of oil following some videos.. the cart gets really hot if i let it but im not getting any vapor?

is my issue my battery? i have a genuine eGo-C upgrade battery. I have tried it on standard mode (constant 3.3v) and variable (will run at 4v and drop as the battery drains).

i didn't load up a gram but i did but atleast half a g

thanks!

My advice is to save any more oil for a better functioning device such as the Omicron,
or the Dart. Either can be read about in these forums. Both are reliable, and supported
by customer service that will actually provide support. I would not send another cent to
Gentlemen's, they are gaining profit by riding others' coattails. Save the e-cig tech for
e-cigs. At the very least, you could purchase a LV AVA from TV and use it for oils w/
your e-cig battery.

thanks for the heads up, i kinda caught that about gman's after finding this thread.. unfortunately it was to late as i ordered a few 10 packs. had i found it before i would have spent the extra 4 dollars per cart with omicron.. lesson learned.

when searching for the tv lv ava i only come up with a e-liquid model? my ecig's are pretty new and i have them because i do use it as a regular ecig for work. Didnt buy them with the intention to put bho into em. But now i must find a way to :D

I saw TV has a LV "cart" looking thing for about 54$ would that do the job for bho?

thanks again!

lv revolution dart style is my suggestion, if you'r going tv. http://thermovape.com/collections/e...cts/thermovape-revolution-dart-lv-low-voltage it is easier to deal w/ than the window version, 'specially for bho

no, for .5 you need omi carts. most i like to put in my dart is .1 at a time. lots of good reading to do. lots of help on those threads as well

Speaking of threads....have 'we' ever determined if this guy has a 510 thread? Will the usual adapter fit to run Omicron carts?

Yes, I've done it successfully with the "usual" adapter.

Yes, this poster is using the exact same battery (the eGo-C "upgrade") that was discussed in the Omicron thread recently. This one is the Joyetech model which says "variable voltage" for the unregulated mode, so it will do fine (BTW. On the same chipset using a Trustfire 18650 from D9, I measure 4.20v unloaded).

Thanks guys, I thought so. Good to know there's a useful 'out' to the cart issue.

For the life of me I'm having too much trouble linking this stuff all up. I can find "ego c upgrade" OK, but it only has two 'voltages' not 3? Then again, GV also sells another ego, with a single voltage? Then there's the one I think it is, 'Double Agent' or somesuch, but I get lost with the whole dual identity thing, do they simply include a thread adapter?

Anyway, good to know it's safe to recommend the adapter and 2.4 Ohm carts. Stu, was it you that reported one of these things that jumped back to mid power on it's own? Mine has done that now twice, wonder what's up with that?

Thanks again. Glad there's a confirmed way away that at least saves folks their 'battery'.

For the record, the battery was the only thing that was worth salvaging from this poor purchase choice that I made.

Stu may have said such - someone on FC did. The ecig forums (ECF is enough) are full of people with that complaint (i.e. lowering the voltage regulator setting as the battery charge drops). Many vendors will/have exchange/refund them, but by now the problem has been known for a long time - IIRC, since late 2009 when they appeared (and with the 4 level reglator, more "correct" but no more useful from late 2010), so I never bothered with one. And yea, the three color multi-regulated one is the "DA" that I've seen.

Not to take it too hard, Stu, you were younger then.

And better looking.

Thanks NDA, good to know I'm not alone.....I guess. No big deal, really, I got it as a toy to check out an 'impossible' claim and to see the little bar graph volt meter (kinda neat, little running light light show when it's charging....). Also I think I have a firmer grasp of the DA thing now, I can see how guys would get excited about it if they had seen nothing else, but it's no match for D9 or TV......

Bob, thanks for the heads up. The .1 wont cut it for me. Well not on days im traveling with the wife.

My batteries are indeed 510 thread which I see does not work with the omi carts. I see gmans has the thread adapter but I also read it is garbage so forget that.

I read the omi carts are rated at 1.5ohm vs the gmans at 2.0..

I loaded up just a bit more oil(I know I know, i shoulda followed directions I was given earlier.) And actually managed to get some hits outta it. Nothing to write home about, that's for sure.

The lower ohms would give me more heat, if I understood correctly?

D9 has omi adapters to use other carts on the omi batt but not the other way around?
