Aromazap/Myrtlezap/CeramicRockZap

Hello FC! some of you such as Vitolo and NYCdiesel may recognize me from GC where i have the same username. I purchased my first vaporizer, a myrtlezap, when I was 16, and I have been a vapor enthusiast ever since.
I have lurked these forums occasionally before, and with the purchase of my new zap I decided to actually become a member. This thread has one of the happiest and most positive vibes of any thread i've ever seen on any forum, and so i decided to have my first post here.
The Zap i purchased looks incredibly beautiful from the pictures on the site. The wood grain is similar to the zap that is on the home page.

I actually had no intentions of purchasing a new CRZ for a few more weeks, but when i randomly checked the aromazap website and saw this beauty i knew i had to buy it there and then.
couldn't be happier right now :D
the VVpower supply will be here soon as well which is literally the only improvement to the zap that i can think of. so excited!
Since i will have this new Beautiful CRZi'll be giving my old and still beautiful myrtlezap to my older brother. I told him that I was going to give it to him at the start of summer, and i also asked him if i could spend the first week of summer with him. I didn't tell him i'm also going to be bringing a quarter of assorted dank nug, some very strong and very tasty brownies, and a gram or so of keif. i'm probably going to teach him how to make really good edibles too, so i may bring some mids to cook with.

nice grab stealth grower, I actually had that beauty on the cart last night but I couldn't man up and push place order... that is one nice zap you have on the way, I how you enjoy every stem!! rick sure did put some nice specimens up last night, that redwood had me drooling too, I wanted both dearly, but decided to wait til next time... but I did order a bubbler w stand sunday night so I still got something good coming my way

Hi StealthGrower! Welcome to the forum and to Zapville. :D Glad you decided to join us.

You got yourself a beautiful myrtle! I'm looking forward to hearing how you like the "new, improved Zap." I think you will be pleasantly surprised. ;)

the redwood and both the unknown woods (the three at the bottom) were really beautiful. i would have been very happy to get any of them, but managed to get the one i thought looked best out of them all :D
when i ordered my zap there were still bubblers, and last night i thought and thought and i think i'm going to get a Zapubbler, but when i went to the shop today they were sold out lol. guess i have a little more time to make up my mind now.

What a guy!
Hey Zappers I've had my first CRZ for about a week now and am loving it. I was bummed when I bought it because the ZapBubblers were not in stock, but now that they are back one is on it's way. In the mean time I've set up an ashcatcher with an old Sherlock stem to use a w bubbler. Looking forward to owning more fine CRZs in the future.

One beatiful Zap, StealthGrower. Very good score. And mom, that is NOT a Myrtle. I have no clue what it is. The block had "flamm" or "flumm" or maybe something totally different. Just one piece of wood. As with all Zaps, this one looks even better in person.
NewVape, that cherry Zap is very sweet. Glad you could hook up to a bubbler. I'll be doing more Cherrys over the next week.

Good news on the VV power supply. My logic and FC posts on the variable power supply thread got me going in the right direction. They work fine but do run over 15 volts which we can handle with proper instructions and warnings. Plugs on the way that will even match the blue Zap power wire from the VV. I should have that show ready to go by the weeks end. I will be offering them as a SUBSTITUTE for the stock fixed power supply for $22 extra on a Zap order. That number is thanks to flat rate shipping boxes we can get from USPS and pulling out the stock transformer from the order. I have not set the stand alone price yet as I have to get the shipping prices down. I am guessing over $40 with the power cord and shipped. The best deal for them is with an order because I will save up to $10 on shipping.
I am trying to keep pricing similar to something equivalent online. Power cord will be about 8 feet with an option for a longer one. Power cord involves 2 different plugs, wire and soldering to one plug.

Bubblers are gone for now. We went through a slug pretty quickly and all but one customer took the wood holder. They were actually up for almost 5 days this time, a big improvement over the first batch up for only a few hours. We will get better as time passes and I am assured they will be a regular item on Tims production list.

I'll have some news on the Abysmal specials by the end of the week. Way too much to get done and shipped for the next couple days.

Wow, I am really excited to hear that the VV power adapters are happening so quick! I will look forward to reading some reviews on them. For $22 extra I think it will be worth it to try and play with. Multiple heat levels in one zap. Amazing... I also have my old faithful 4 year old AC 12V wall wart that is going strong thanks to Ricks replacement plug end.

Rick are you expecting to have a lot of these to stay in stock for awhile?

The other day I was thinking about how different it was when I got my first zap a few years ago. People bought them without knowing what they looked like. Now you get 3 views and zoom abilities. Very different to today.

i'm curious as to exactly how these VV transformers work. does it have a switch that you can adjust to preset voltage outputs, like 15, 13.5, 12, etc... or does it have a dial or something that lets you adjust to any voltage at all in between it's minimum and maximum output?

That is funky stuff - looks like those weird gel balls you soak for plants that start teeny and grow with water.

Very nice looking Zap though

Another quickie attempt. HA! Pat will laugh at that statement!
A little more on the VV. I do love these new ones. Smaller than the red flame version, power from one plug, not two. Voltage readout to the 100ths of a volt. They are reading about 1/4 volt high from actual, no big deal.
Proper plugs should be here Friday. At that point, I should be ready to go. Inventory is decent and I can get more relatively quickly, less than a week.
Stealth-tattoo-power-supply-1.jpg

I am getting my VV from these folks. http://www.tattoomachineequipment.com/tattoo-power-supplies Ours is the Stealth model but as you can see they have other choices at good prices. More bells and whistles and colors. The best deal from us will be to get one with a CRZ order. Because of shipping, time, etc, I do not think our stand alone VV price will be as good as you can get out there. So we will be offering the power cord kit, custom made for this type of VVPS with the standard log vape plug on the end as a Zap accessory. Nice 16 gauge wire, not kinky. These PSs need the switch in the left port which we will also provide.(one short piece of 1/4" round metal of some sort)

So get your VVPS wherever, then just order the power cord kit from us or make your own and you are good to go. Some of the pricier ones shown above have ten turn knobs for very precise voltage adjustment. I can get the one we use(Stealth) to move in 1/4 volt or less increments. Voltage readout is to the hundredth of a volt. They seem to be reading about 1/4 volt high from actual voltage measured on the ohmmeter.

My main goal here is to get a good VVPS option for our CRZ customers at a decent price. Next would be to help any log vape owner get a VVPS anywhere they choose and enable them to use it easily and simply on whatever log vape they have.

My thanks to momofthegoons for directing me to some original discussions on this subject. It was fun to read the story of Alans beginnings in the log vape world here on FC.

And yes, thank you Pat for pointing out that beautiful V on the top of our VV. After all, this is about vapor and making it efficiently at any heat range desired at the moment. Last night I hit one of those heavy temps and was plastered to my chair for 1/2 hour, lost in space. In the morning, a light tasty pull is nice.....................

Just talked with Tim my glass God. I will have another nice batch of bubblers in stock by this Friday. When I mentioned how surprised I was he said "....I'm workin for the MAN!"

Stealth,

I have a HVY Mini Beaker. A small beaker bong that is my first and only piece of glass that I use with my zap. I love it in terms of what it does as a bong. It is handy to have a bong around in case a friend wants to use a bong. But I am tempted to try the little zap blubber stem as well. From the videos it seems to do exactly what my bong does just on a much smaller scale. Though a bit out of my price range at $94. Also it dosnt have ice pinches (but I usually dont use them anyway).

I think I will get the blubber and if I love it sell the bong. If I dont love it I will sell the blubber stem and keep the bong.

If I was in your shoes I personally would get the zap blubber and forget about a bong. But that is a very personal choice. I could see someone else going the other way.
