I urge fellow VXC users to employ a GonG adapter (14mm or 18mm male to female) as an interface between the VXC and your tubes to preserve the sanctity of the joint on your bong and as a hash catcher. This buffer zone not only provides safety, it will make cleaning your tube easier.

I believe that stickstones was pointing out that matters like these (forum rules being broken) are not handled in public, and certainly not in a vaporizer thread. fc does not bend to the wishes of manufacturers, we enforce the forum rules. As a matter of fact, a prominent manufacturer is currently banned for breaking the rules.

First time Pappy ever broke, with all that glass?? That is IMPRESSIVE. Lost count of how many glass pieces I've had broken. Of course most are due to pets. Pappy, I'm guessing you either don't have a dog or cat, or you have very well behaved ones. My last three breaks were all from the pets - two from a crotchety cat, one from the dog's massive wagging tail.
Totally agree with the advice to use an adapter on all pieces. At least then if something breaks on the Cloud it won't kill your tube / bubbler (or vice versa).

I may be a sucker but I just purchased some of this stuff called Slide Right™. I'll try it out and put up a review in the vapor related equipment section in a few weeks. I don't like the sticky/gritty feel I get from gong joints, I think this will solve it. I was going to get their Joint Wax™ product but I don't need to stick things together like that, I just want to lube this glass-on-glass situation.

I really do not see the benefit of purchasing that, it just looks like a petroleum jelly like chapstick. Why not just put a little bit of petroleum jelly to have the same benefits?

I appreciate all the commiserations... To put things in perspective, yesterday an old friend informed me he had pancreatic cancer. That gives the old cliche "don't cry over spilt milk" a whole new meaning. This was the first tube I ever broke and it was in service to FC. I was trying to photograph the VXC and the picture of Pappy the puppy tipped over and knocked THTFKASG off my vape table. It was clumsy but not klutzy! I'm gobsmacked but I'll live.

Probably but I've seen the slide right sticks for just a few bucks so they aren't really gouging you on the price anyway.
