The Maple one 2nd on the right looks like it has this slight curve to the shape. Maybe it is an illusion... if not that curve/profile is beautiful. It is so subtle and elegant.

The Bocote one looks amazing as well. Reminds me of when you pour creamer into coffee.

I knew it Dave. Brilliant marketing and sales strategy. Make it impossible to pick just one. ;) Surfing your site is about the same as looking at my local SPCA at all the adoptable dogs. You want to take them all home.

So someone snagged up the zebrawood king already aye? Congrats SM, if it was half the size I would have bought that one for Abysmals cause. I just love how all those wood types go together in that one, but I prefer smaller pieces for use with waterpipes. Post many pictures when it arrives please :tup:

part of the blame should be on his minions(dogs) too tough, there's just no escaping their spell

I will post some pictures for sure. I might even make a video review of both units and compare and contrast them.

There is a video out there comparing the twig and


His twig was the smaller size and a test burner. So it might be good to do a video comparing how they function with the same heating element and different sizes.

I can't wait for them to get here. I have been having some pretty intense pain recently. Had to smoke today and it tasted so bad. I could feel it coating my mouth and throat with the tar. I had only been vaporizing off and on for a couple days and I already started to notice how bad the smoke tasted.

Heater core is the piece you are talking about though just so you know :)

I can't wait to hear your review. You have a very similar setup to me and I think you'll see what I mean about having a twig for the bigger hits, but having a full size dog and a twig is a dream team for sure.

I have this ability to simplify nouns. For example any video game system = Nintendo. I wear button up dress shirts but I call them t-shirts. I take a bath even though it is always actually a shower.

I sell Scenty product which are these wax warming things. I still have a tendency to call their warmers burners. It is a bad habit. ;)

I've dropped mine more times than I can count, even had it slip out of the silicon and hit the wood floor bare. Not even a crack...

Besides I need you guys to keep buying piece so I can keep making them. Gotta find something to do with all this damn wood that's piled up everywhere, either that or stop buying it. I think I picked up about $5k in wood in the 3 months. :rockon:

I have an idea for a high end line of Underdogs. The read oak and the purple heart and any reddish/tan color looks very art deco together. You could do a whole series of UD with an art deco theme.

Does anyone else notice a difference when using different tubing for the bowl?

I've been using a thick piece of silicone tubing for my polka-pup and have been very impressed by the amount of vapor I can coax out of the herb. My abv comes out as dark as I care to make it.

However I just experimented with a thinner-walled silicone bowl attached to the glass stem Dave was gracious enough to throw in. The hits seemed a little wispier, and when I thought the bowl was dead, I dumped it and put it into the thick silicone bowl and proceeded to get several milky rips.

Never noticed a difference in vapor density with the different thicknesses, my only complaint is how easy screens get dislodged in the thin-walled tubing.

Even with that I use the thin tubing at least 95% of the time.

Good question, the thin tubing fits perfectly in my 14mm glass bong with no adapters that reduce the airflow.

Since the un-restricted airflow is one of the underdog's best qualities, I don't really like to use my glass adapter anymore as the tiny hole on one end restricts the airflow down to that of the rockzap :/

Still not as bad as the restricted airflow on the omicron though :ninja:

I have the same experience as you. I'm not yet sure if it's the tubing itself though. Do you have clean screens in both stems you are testing? The one in my thicker stem is already a little clogged up around the sides from a good day of use, I figured that was the cause of it.

I was also experimenting with a little 14mm slide I have that fits the thicker tubing tightly. I was about to finally order me a waterpipe adapter when I realized it would slightly restrict the airflow, and also change the way the air flows through the bowl. After realizing that I started looking for something I could use as an adapter but something that would go around the stem instead of having to insert it, hence the slide. It works perfectly to some extend, but I also get less vapor and lighter ABV with it, even though the screen placement is identical as the one I'm comparing it to.

I'll do some more testing today. I think I still prefer using my UD without adapters and just press the stem straight to my downstem, but I got a little tired of having to cut my stems tapered so I was looking for a way around that.

I'd love to know of a way to cut a nice taper on the silicone tubing. It always ends up looking like such a hack job. It's a right pain in the arse. Anyone got any ideas?

I don't really care about the look anymore (well I do, but I think silicon will never be pretty, we need another material for that), but what ticks me off about it is that my tapered ends often don't make an airtight seal when I don't cut them right, which reduces performance.

Alan suggested that you hold a razor blade and you roll round tubing while it touches the blade so you get a nice clean cut. :).

That's ok for a straight cut, but I haven't been able to do it for a taper/chamfer.

I've noticed the same about the thickness of the silicone, a while back I had a post about the stems and I mentioned that too. also noticed thst hash works great in the silicone stem, but not in the glass, I think that's alsop because the airflow is less restricted.(or it's because of the spherical/concave screen)

Only recently but yes. I swear the thin and thick ones were giving me similar hits, until just recently I cut some of my older silicone thick stems to make a bubbler adapter, and the hits are MUCH thicker that way. I still get good thick hits with the thin ones, but it just seems easier with the thicker silicone.

I'm going to order a bit of both soon actually.

thick hits = thick tube
thinner hits = thinner tube

do I have that right? Maybe it is because the thicker hose compressed less from the vacuum so there is more area for the smoke to collect and travel through?

My king will have the AquaVape attached to it. Should I use the thick or thin tubing for that? The twig will have an adapter for my water pipe. Again should I use thick or thin for that one as well?

The water pipe adapter will be best with thicker I'd imagine to be more sturdy. I use my aqua vape with thick or thin no real difference most of the time. I think it comes down to preference.
