Whats the best place to buy the new glass stems (with 4 holes) both bent and straight in the US? I usually buy my supplies from puffitup but they dont seem to have the straight stems (or glass tubes, what are we calling them these days anyways? :))

Can you fit a Solo and 2 bent stems in these? If yes, then I think its the perfect case for the Solo.
You can fit 2 stems, in mine i usually have 2 straight the plantvape GonG and one of eds wooden stems. I only keep whats hot at the moment in the hot pocket

Does it have to be in US? Cause you have planetvape, from Canada, where Arizer is from. ;)

Well, yeah.... Shipping for me is complicated :p I have a US address provided by a shipping company and this company forwards it to me in India and handles Indian customs etc. But they will not handle any customs in the US, so If I order from Canada and incase there is a customs requirement at the recipient end, they will not handle it. So I need to stick to US vendors.

I think Arizer named them "aroma tubes" lol

Sounds good, but could you try the bent stems and let me know if 2 of them fit comfortably with a Solo? Would be really helpful.

A Wooden stem? Damn it seems I have been living under a rock! Where do you get to see and buy one of those? Would love to try one out. How do they hold up with prolonged use? Do they get smelly?

Apologies for the barrage of questions, just getting out from under my rock :)

In my quest to find a stem cap, I have not yet succeeded. I don't think I'll have any luck with chap stick tubes, but I haven't walked around in a Home Depot or Lowes yet, I'll take a look next week and see what I find..

You've seen the caps on PlanetVape? I've used my MFLB battery caps, in fact, they may be the same thing...

Yeah, those are the same caps MFLB uses for the batteries. They work pretty good IMO, I don't get the "herb getting stuck in them" problem I saw others mentioning a while back, because I cap my loaded stem with a SS screen to keep the herb in the stem and out of my heat chamber.

Ah yeah - sorry it is Monday, I forgot the problem was that the herb sticks in them(for some people)...hmmm

I'll give it some thought - there has to be some kind of material (small peice of rubber/cork/something) that you can jam right on top. How about a really large rubber band that goes around length wise?

Hey Solo Users,

When you're bored and just happen to be vaping near your computer, please post a few pics or videos of any modifications that you've done to improve the vaping experience of the Solo through a water pipe. I've seen all the videos and photos on this forum but was hoping some lurkers might be inclined to post something that we haven't seen yet. I'm close to having a custom glass attachment made for the Solo - but I'm having trouble finding a reliable glass maker. Right now I'm just using a small piece of plastic tubing attached to the stem of the Solo and inserted into the bowl of my water pipe. It works decent but I'm ready for true Solo water pipe attachment.

Best!

Just got my solo!! Haven't got a chance to use it yet, but it looks nifty. A lot smaller than I thought it would be. I got a 106 instead of the 107, which the store (puffitup) specifically said they had in stock. Should I be upset? They also sent me a pack of gummy bears, so I'm leaning towards no :)

You can use whatever you like....the band idea sounds fine. I couldn't take the loss of material/kif sticking to the insides of the caps so I don't use them (I don't cap my bowls with screens), but a little saran wrap works absolutely perfect. Now I have 6 caps I have no use for lol

1 - own 2 solos
2 - purchase a Y adapter and 2 GonG stems from planetvape.ca
3 - enjoy.
That's the best "solo" experience I've had

Hey Fredrick,

Thanks! Is the GonG stem that you use the Solo Ground Glass on Glass Adaptor - $19.95? This is similar to the piece that I was looking to have custom made.

Yeah, they tend to do stuff like that in my experience. I think the 106 and 107 are about the same. If they had sent a 105 which runs a bit cooler I would say send it back but I would go ahead and use your 106. That's what I have it works great.

Cool to know. I'm not particularly fond of that kind of service; I hope they will help me out with warranting the thing if it ever goes bad:shrug: !

Yep, Specifically, I have 2 14mm non-carbed GonG stems.
planetvape are also working on another adapter that will cost a bit more, but will improve flow and let you finish a bowl quicker. that one isn't out yet though.
