Apparently, it is a law in Georgia that you have to purchase and affix tax stamps to your contraband, even though cannabis is completely illegal. Da fuckk??

Its an old federal law actually. My understanding is they made you haul your "crop" to Washington to get the stamp so you had to break the law to obey it. It was just a way to get rid of cannabis without outlawing it directly. The Marihuana Tax Act of 1937 <---- Click for info-----

But the law is apparently still in effect, and some people are penalized for breaking the tax law as well as for possession. Damned if you do.. :uhoh:

I've heard about it too, apparently it works mostly as a trick to give you a higher penalty, since not only are you guilty of posession or dealing i you get caught, but also avoiding taxes.
