Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

this thing leaves me utterly useless. I've skipped three consecutive classes since I've gotten it.

I however did combust how do I clean the inside of the cloud and that particular EZL Bowl to rid the horrid combustion taste? Also can any one chime in as how to receive the warrenty. I foolishly mistakenly threw away the papers along with boxes down the trash chute.

Awesome B! I really like the color of that ABV on the left! that gives me hope. I am really wanting this thing for lower temp vaping in paticular. I like to inhale the least amount of plant material whilst getting the effects that I want.

Then you might find this ABV shot interesting (note that the real color is actually a bit darker than shown here) . . .

This is .15g of mids. My week-day routine is to do this amount before dinner @10 o'clock to extract primarily THC which has a specific medicinal use for me. Later near bedtime I fire up the Cloud again at 12 o'clock, finishing off the ELB to extract primarily CBD/CBN as a sleep aid.

I'm still experimenting, but I suspect I may even be able to get the desired medicine with only .1g. The extraction efficiency of the Cloud is just incredible. Unless you pack, I can't see any need for stirring. And the air movement is such that you get really even cooking throughout the ELB. My Q is pretty good as long as I stir once or twice, but it can't touch the Cloud.

And I still can't get over how easy the pulls are, there is just no drag to speak of unless you've tightly packed. The HydraCirc is simply effortless. Even though it doesn't have pinches, when I put ice water in it I carefully slip a few partially melted cubes into the top section. I'm easily done with the session before the cubes melt, so no risk of too much water. The hitting is nothing short of damned perfect.

But in the interest of full disclosure, I should alert the QC police here that I have found a flaw on my Cloud in the finish on the casing. (Queue the sirens!) It doesn't appear that the finish can be easily scratched or scraped (I tried), so probably it happened when the finish was applied. It is miniscule; I didn't notice it at all until I went all over the unit with a fine tooth comb.

For those whose definition of "100% awesome" is perfection in all respects, and are clearly agitated over what is perceived as "many problems with these things", let me just suggest that you'll probably be happier waiting until general public release. Even though the number of defects has been proportionately very small relative to units shipped, there have been some process flaws uncovered which will no doubt be resolved for general release. Clearly most are comfortable taking the small risk of the early release edition shipping now. But given how strongly you feel, why borrow trouble?

You worry to much. :)

I had no idea what to expect as I didn't see the pic...i didn't know it was so minor, but with QC you don't think they would have seen it and snipped it?

What temperature did you combust at? I was under the assumption that even at full temp the Cloud doesn't combust.

Really? It appears that every other review has had SOME sort of issue. I do agree that it's probably better to wait for these wrinkles to be ironed out, but somehow I get the feeling from your tone that we should ACCEPT imperfections for $500?

That just happened...

Vape #2 has arrived today! Waiting on my friend (who helped me break the first one!) to get here before testing it out :D

Currently letting it just sit and heat up, small smell came off of it will re-post after full burn in at full temp for over 15 minutes.

Everything is great, took a lot of pictures of opening the packaging so I'll try to upload those to here!

Beautiful Vertigo logo (sandblasted), never saw the ones people complained about. HydraTube looks amazing as usual.

I think I love you stonemonkey. lol

Now for FedEx to bring my Mobius Matrix Ion bubbler around! :)

So, after see the video of the leaking hydrcirc and reading people's stories, I have decided not to send mine back. I have not seen any leaking since that first night it sat there with water in it for 8 hours. I have left the water in after that, and have not been able to replicate the problem.

So, could be it was condensation or something, but I don't want to burden the company with another return- since it seems to working fine. Yea, it's not perfect, but works great!

I have had the second chamber in my bong empty once or twice- somehow the water in the perc falling down into the main chamber created enough vacuum for the perc to act as a siphon. I've noticed that the water level is always slightly higher inside of the perc than outside, and I guess as a splash fell down as I was moving it and got the flow going until it emptied- I also saw it happening one time when I over filled the second chamber slightly, which was when I realised the perc had a propensity for this. Could it be something similar here?

I think you may be the first SGW? Also curious what the quality of their pieces are like.

In regard to the Vertigo, are they all sandblasted logos now? Anyone have a pic? Or are they the peeling labels?

Hi all - was hoping to gain a bit of advice from the group. I was contemplating the purchase of either a Mobius Stereo Matrix 65mm stemless bubbler, or perhaps the clear bub with single Matrix perc and was wondering if anyone had any feedback as to how either might perform with the Cloud? I love my Vertigo hydratube, but now all of this recent fun has got me on a bit of a glass kick. :)

Anyone out there have either setup, and how do you feel it compares to the HT? (the single matrix looks like it stacks like crazy on the vids I've seen!)

Cheers,

Giant Robot

+1 on the SGW Showerdome, will match up with my waffle bub nicely (btw Giant Robot, the waffle bub has always been my favorite VHW tube because of the drag and the way it stacks bubbles to the top)...shipped out last night. Looking forward to testing this little guy.

Glad I got bumped a couple days and got the SGW, hopefully no leakage issues, and although I typically like a smaller diamater tube for vaping, the short stature of the hydratubes lends itself to a straight 44mm.

I think there is a mixture. mine is sandblasted. imo if the lablels are easily removed who cares. as long as it performs the desired function . I have never been much into logos. I am very happy with my unit i still get nice blue clouds at 9. If that makes me a fanboy at 64 so be it.

My leaky hydracirc was replaced with a SGW showerdome because they came back in stock. It is scheduled to arrive tomorrow on 4/20 so I'll let you guys know how it is!

I have a wild thought after seeing the promo videos at the beginning of this thread. I have an Arizer Solo, could I get the Glass water part and get an attachment made for my solo? does such an attachment already exist?

So I called the VapeXHale line and we worked something out. As it would be against their policy to do the warranty on the tube without me sending it back they offered to send out one of the SGW tubes that got rejected for having a slight lean instead of a hydracirc. If I just put the lean forwards/backwards instead of side to side it won't bug my OCD too much and that will make me happy about the hydratube situation, I'm glad I didn't have to ship it back and we could work something out that made us both happy. Thanks VXL for making an exception for an unlucky Canadian, I'll be anxiously awaiting the hydratube experience and will leave a review of the SGW tube when I get it :peace:

Hoping I too get an email today after getting put on hold because of the out of stock situation.

To Bluntcrush, I have hydratube envy. Lookin' good!

To Giant Robot, go with the stereo matrix if you can find one. On the smaller bub the Cloud unit I imagine would be a little too in your face. It's also just a classier tube IMO.

Also glad they took care of you Willeh. I think it's clear even if we have an issue it'll be taken care of in the right way.

Why am I not surprised?

I'm not suggesting that anyone should do anything.

I was just making a simple observation, with a follow-on logical (well, at least to me) conclusion : Anyone who feels that there are "many problems" based upon "every other review" having "SOME sort of issue" will quite possibly be unsatisfied and therefore would probably be happier waiting until if/when those "many problems" are resolved. That's pretty straightforward.

Possibly the more relevant question is, why are you reading something into it that isn't there? Might it just be because you don't think anyone should accept "imperfections"? Just a wild guess based on the "tone" of your many "imperfection" posts. ;)

Anyway, the crux of the matter here is (a) one's definition of "imperfections" and (b) frequency/ proportionality. It would seem that you have a very broad definition, from real product issues like a leaking HT or a heater malfunction, through to very subjective considerations such as upper screws on the casing getting hot when the unit is turned up high or the ticking noise, down to a missing ELB bag in one shipment. I suppose that with a broad enough definition, including every reviewer's cons, one might get to half the reviews having "issues". But still that's rather meaningless.

Because, all "imperfections" are not created equal, and some simply, well, aren't. One off's don't count. And while any owner is entitled to dislike, say, the subtle ticking, there aren't reports of any owner sending the unit back over these things; in other words, these "imperfections" are such for only a comparative few, and apparently not enough to reach the level of buyer's remorse. Cosmetic blemishes fit in the same category; entirely subjective and apparently not chasing away customers. That leaves the real actual product malfunctions, such as those reports about the heater and the HT flaws - these real imperfections are of course not acceptable.

But those defects need to be put in context. Frequency or proportionality is critical. A dozen such reports in a population of ~300 units shipped translates into a 4% reject rate. While that rate is higher than leading high-end electronics products, it is actually roughly on par with the universe of consumer products, including many expensive ones. It certainly isn't surprising for the first production runs of a small new manufacturer. It's also important to note that VXL has been exemplary in its responsiveness to customer problems; there haven't been any reports of an owner not being made whole.

At the end of the day, the market decides. For some, the perceived risks outweigh the cost and benefit of having the product; I gather that's where you are coming from at least for now. That fine. But still, the tone of this thread has been decidedly positive, pre-orders are not being cancelled in numbers, owners are not sending back units in droves, customers are not complaining about VXL leaving them in the lurch or being unresponsive. People vote with their wallets, and so far the vote has been near unanimous. Perhaps there is a message here.

i don't know about you guys but i love my cloud to the fullest.
