Well said again JD, I really like your posts. Funny you mentioned the VHW, because even though I know it's a quality vape, all those fragility issues (and a couple other things) make it a dealbreaker for me based on the reasons you mentioned - numerous warranty, waiting for weeks, costs, etc. I TOO hope this isn't the trajectory of the cloud, but IF it is, I will put it in the same category as the VHW.

As for the revolution, at this point I think that was hype, because IIRC there were one or two in here with functioning clouds that we underwhelmed, and so I can see this becoming another "there is no best" vaporizer among the big boys.

We DO support them and give them huge props. They are ALL awesome. Does that mean we can't discuss problems/issues and voice are opinions, thoughts, concerns, on the cloud, HT, warranty, shipping, etc?

Lab rats? I'm trying to be nice and polite here but my blood is starting to boil. PLEASE go look at the Solo thread and then see how much fun it was to be a lab rat. So no, I don't think it's cool.

Of course you can discuss but it just seemed like you are pissed at them and I think its legitimate considering what they are going through...you do understand that still this is something non main stream and seems bad to a lot of people

I want to apologize, I did not mean to offend you when I wrote lab rats, please accept my apology - I was also referring myself as a lab rat because I do believe this is the case of every first product...this won't happen again mate.

Honestly dude, this vapor revolution...I am looking forward to this awesome new product, but I am not going to finance their company for the sake of the "revolution." I am a customer and they are a company providing a product. If the product does not meet expectations the company is on the hook to support it (which VXL is working to do, and SM55 is hands down the best guy to help/explain that support).

I support these guys in that I have told dozens of people who would have never heard of this product, and when I get mine I will show it off to dozens more.

When I liked my VHW it led me to sell other people VHW's. At the same time, when all of the fragility problems of the VHW led to repeated warranted returns, weeks of waiting, and lots of other added costs, I stopped selling them and then I really only used it for myself and never really talk about them to folks anymore because I don't feel like hearing about cracked inner heat covers and faulty electronics. My point is I hope this isn't the trajectory of the cloud.

Finance the company??? 30$ shipment once will kill you? come on mate...

Why are you still comparing other companies to this company?
I think you all are missing the point

Again and again...

VX are not rich and are not big, you should think about all the time they put for this product and all the problems they dealt...

I don't understand most of you - you should support them as much as you can even if it means to spend more money...

Please think longer than this week, month or year
This is the very beginning of a possible revolution and in time VX will grow and be able to help out and give more - don't you think its cool to remember that you were the first (the lab rats)

I'm certain that each of you will be remembered...and I'm sure VX would please you more when they truly can...maybe who knows in 2 years you'll get a free glass - I dunno I'm just saying
I understand your exceptions for quality... VX could have made this pre order USA only and then a lot of you wouldn't even seen the machine.

I wish more people thought like me...but since you all know how to run a company and produce a new product then there's not much I can do...

I will say it again : I am willing to help out = I am not rich, in fact - I'm pretty sure 500$ is much more of a deal for me...I live in a country where the minimum wage is 1100$ US!!! my wage is nothing compare to most of the people here ... so 500$ for me is like 1000-1500$ for you.

No offense or anything to you. But if everyone thought like you and didn't complain or question whats going on, etc... the company would'nt be able to get all the bad kinks out as quickly as one would like. Feedback is always good, whether its positive or negative. It gives direction... I am one who is waiting until this product is 100% ready. I Also am waiting for when you can just buy the unit not the glass.. I have spent enough money on glass bongs as it is lol.

I was referring to the guy who said we should just start giving them cash to help move the "revolution." But I will say that having to pay for return shipping on a product that you already waited 2 years for them to "perfect" is a bit salty, and even more so if you have to send it across INTL orders.

None taken and perhaps I came out as a guy who would say yes to everything...
I just think if I get the cloud now and get a bad glass then had to pay some money for shipment and get extra ELB and such - then I'd think its pretty fair considering what is going on - perhaps I might have asked to have refund money so I can get accessories when I really need it.

I like your positive attitude, would you like to buy my extra VHW's and not complain when they break...everyone needs custies like you.

Seriously, not everyone has tons of extra cash, so maybe they saved every disposable penny to get it, they don't need the extra bowls, they just need it to work the first time so they don't have to lay anymore loot down on it.

Now I know this will bring on the "well then don't spend your money if you can't afford it." The point is the guy could afford the advertised product, not the one he had to send back once, twice, who knows, with the VHW's I got so many bad covers as replacements for bad covers, if I didn't have a ton of wands I would have went weeks and weeks without my vapor tool.

I'm not pissed at them at all, but I am slightly dissappointed about hearing about issues that should never have happened in the first place. I seriously wonder what the defect rate is on the hydracirc, and this is their in-house baby!

No need to apologize, and no offence taken whatsoever. You just struck a nerve that's all because of my past experiences with the Solo. But arizer straightened that product out and i'm sure VXL will straighten theirs out.

It's not $30 shipping once dude, it's the bloody brokerage fees from UPS, which i'm not sure VXL would reimburse.

Anyways, i'm done, too tired of this. SM55 addressed everything, now let's wait and see what the newest reviews have to say. But please let's just be upfront, frank, and honest. If there are props great, if not, please share your other opinions as it not only helps us, but also the VXL team.

Hey Pappy don't try to do me any favors I already told HPI what I thought of him, his management of the site and his mods....but in more colorful language then I would use in an open forum.

And again, explain to me how its covering their butts when they are selling products that you can't even use legally in the Netherlands (Honey Oil Extractors)...Chemical Hash Extraction is about on par with processing poppies for Heroine across the world. A heat source for "aromatherapy" made out of glass for use through glass is less appropriate than a butane torch?

Can't wait for the cloud, too bad I couldn't sell my VHW's on BM when I got my VXC Store Registration Email. That's alright 9 more posts and I can get rid of them here.

You know, you could take that negative experience you had and turn it around. I would suggest opening your own site and run it the way you think it should be ran, including supporting vapor. It's not hard these days to build a site and operate it. I'm sure many others would appreciate your effort in the end.

thanks mate :p
but if the cloud was on mass production then I wouldn't be happy if they broke.

I would have given you an extra glass

So pakalol, what you are saying is that when we buy our clouds for delivery to canada we get raped brokerage, and then if we have to send the thing back for warranty, we would have to pay that brokerage raping again? If so, deal breaker forsure. As much as i'm stoked and want to buy a unit, i'm not paying UPS 25% of the cost of the Cloud.

I'm saying that brokerage fees are not customs fees. Every time I've ever had anything shipped to me from the US via UPS, they have charged brokerage fees. That includes gifts worth less than the fee they charged, and it definitely includes items that had no customs charges. I'm not aware of any exception to the brokerage fee. I refuse to deal with companies that use UPS to ship cross-border for this reason.

Re all the discussion about what other companies do or don't do: it's true some companies pay shipping for warranty returns. It's also true that it is more common that they don't. Lots of companies refuse to honour warranties outside the country of manufacture, too. I assume companies set their policy based on the expected return rate and area of coverage. A small start-up can't afford to be generous and pay everything, especially if they are operating on limited capital, low profit margin, and no data to help estimate the failure rate. VXL is taking a lot of crap over what is SOP for many companies.

I hope by the time my pre order roles around that VXL will add USPS as a shipping option. UPS is pure evil.

The one thing I think was really overlooked with the Cloud is the shutoff timer. The lights will continue to blink indefinitely, even though the heater shuts off. So if you leave it on overnight you will wake up to the lights still blinking 8 hours later. Seems very wasteful and like the lights might go out sooner now. My lights already blink more unstably since this happened..

How do you mean they blink more unstably? Are the not LED's? They should last forever. I actually don't mind if it blinks indefinitely...at least you know what "mode" it's in lol

What I wish for though was a longer shut off timer like the EQ, or maybe the ability to choose between 1 or 2 hours. Because without an audible beep to let you know (I don't stare at my vape between sesh's), I will always have to flip the switch on an off to "reset", and that could maybe cause it to wear out prematurily.

Instead of blinking red and green only, it would flash no color inbetween for half a second. It started doing this when I left it on a long time. I guess it doesn't matter but I just observed that the lights now act differently than when I got the unit.

Got my unit yesterday with the Hydracirc. So far it is extremely awesome! Fortunately it appears I have received one with none of the issues others have run into. I was kind of scared because when I took the tube out of the box there was a bunch of white powder stuck to the inside of the tube. This ended up just washing off with a quick rinse so no big deal I suppose.

So far I have been hitting it and getting great clouds, it definitely seems to get better as it warms up, I have been waiting a couple minutes after it goes green for the best result. Overall the unit itself is definitely skinnier then I was thinking but it seems to be a size that is easy to hold.

I have been presently surprised with how stable the tube seems to be sitting by itself. Obviously it prone to tipping if you bump your table but I've had it sitting on my desk with little worry although a stand it probably a good idea for the extra protection.

There is definitely a ticking as has been mentioned but to me it is really pretty low and something you might not be able to hear even just across the room as it is quite faint. My unit has gotten warm but I have had no issue holding any part of the black enclosure at all. Also I was surprised at how cool the ELBs seem to be.

One thing I seem to have been running into with the bowls is it seems like my bud is really sticking in the bowl when trying to empty it. Seems like they could clog up a bit but easy enough to clean probably.

Overall definitely happy seems like its extremely high quality and hopefully it will last a long past the warranty!

I just got mine today - Vertigo HT with the frosted logo - and am still not sure what I think after a couple of hours. Don't know if there is an issue with my unit, or if I was expecting too much, or if it is a question of dialing in the right technique. I have to turn my Cloud all the way up and partially cover the air hole to get vapor close to as thick as some of the videos I've seen, or comparable to a VHW or a good PD pull. Set at noon, with the air hole almost blocked, I get some, but not much, visible vapor. More visible but not thick at 3 o'clock. Has to be all the way and limit the air flow to get a real thick cloud. Going to try it with different glass pieces and with other varieties of herbs to see if I get improvement.

Arf777 - your unit sounds like it is running cold. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, please file a support ticket and we will take care of you asap.

To Vape4life, JohnDeere, m0sh, and everyone else who took part of today's discussion, we'd like to thank you for all your comments. We read each one and try and improve each day. This doesn't mean that we will be perfect tomorrow, but we've identified gaps in our manufacturing that will reduce the inconsistencies seen over the last week. I have a little bit more to say that will give you some insight into start up life but I will save that for another day when I have a bit more creative energy to make it an interesting read.

Agreed. Thanks again SM, you guys do so much to take the stress off your customers, in the end I feel bad for you guys having to deal with this rough road of producing this amazing vaporizer. I can't wait to get my new HT and finally try this thing out.

I got my Cloud + HydraCirc today! Both function perfectly and have no issues so far! I'm really enjoying the hydracirc, it's a very high quality piece!

I gotta say this vape is exactly what I've been waiting for, for the last couple years! I'm a happy camper!
EDIT: Will post a more in depth review later :p
