I thought I had "loose" stems figured out by resetting the teflon ring by pushing it back in so it's flush. But now even when I do that, even though it's "tough" to insert the stem like when new, I guess the ring pops back out a mm or so and then I get the loose stems again. Not a huge deal because they are not as bad as some past spinning stems on older solo's without the ring but they are definitely much looser than when new a month ago. Better for airflow anyway.

In the 70's I was a travelin' paraphenalia salesman. We had a product that was a static cling wrap to put around beer cans, they had labels like Mountain Pew, and Cacao Cola. I'm sure something like that could be done. Make it look similar to a Red Bull can or like sized.I own all 3 too Dude next door.
with the wood stems ive been using with my solo these past few days.Its very similar to a log.too similar in fact.I love my logs too.trust me man,you ll really like this thing.It rocks and you can cap youre stem in between hits.Its better to carry less especially in a public settings like concerts and stuff where things can be so on top.I m very discrete with my vaping.You have to be here.
If you want to vape say at a big venue or busy public space. the solo is great.Other option is cubicle 4 in the mens during the interval/break. not so good if your e seeing Roger Waters and the Wall sequence starts.Hello Solo,
Its quiet as .the batteries last all night.you can economise with youre flowers by capping youre stem after you ve hit.Its only downfall is its lights.If youre in a movie theatre etc ,but you can palm it or put some tinted tape over the buttons so you see them but their not as noticeable.
You can cup it, But being honest,it kinda looks like a small can anywayz.maybe someone needs to make a decal kit to make the solo body look more like a soda can.I dont really wanna be fiddling with trap doors in cups kinda draws attention to whats inside..The cans above in Phineas post look pretty convincing.
people have asked and I will ask again.Will replacement body caps and the delrin heat chamber rings ever become available as extras for the solo? I own a black solo .If I wanted to use it in a can i would like a silver cap for stealth.

First I bought a cooking spatula,rated 500F, and tried to trim it as best as possible, at least I tried...
Second I doomed a SS screen, I don't remember measurements, sorry, and trim it to fit Solo chamber...Third, insert the domed SS screen in the Solo chamber...
Fourth, place the silicone ring on top of the heating chamber hole, and finally screw the lid back, and tatttttttaaaaannnn
perfectly browned and vaped porro in just one 12min cycle...Don't forget to use a flat SS screen next to the holes in the stem as well, and for even better results, an extra domed trimmed SS screen on top of the first screen facing the heating chamber. This will create like a inside concave chamber in the Solo heating chamber. I will post a stem photo and a bottle/water/vape video soon. Thanks for taking your time to read and look at my mods, they really work IMO. Enjoy them, and thanks, Tintest, these were his mods, mine are cheapo twists, jajajaja

Ordered a solo from Puffitup.com - got a 106. As long as I dont experience nirvana upon hitting a 107, im cool with it.
This thing kicks serious ass. But tell me if these are normal symptoms:
The bent stem - stiff to get in at first , now its loose as hell, if you hold it upsidown it will positively fall out. The other stem is acting normal
The stiff draw - this thing draws very stiffly - I have my doubts of keeping my interest with a bong attachement as its just going to be WAY stiffer then using my upsidown herbalaire... Otherwise I am still happy. But likewise if I draw someone elses and its smoother ill be bummed.

I have had the exact same experience as you with my bent neck stem. First time in it was stiff and since is very easy to slip in, where the straight one is still stiff to get in after several uses. Doesn't bother me just found it a bit odd too.

Good job man! I got a m106 from PIU also and still use it...everyday!
I used the bent stem maybe 2-3 times, and since then never. My Solo usually goes upside down into glass...and now we have the cool glass-on-glass stems from PlanetVape, which are awesome too!

i have two bent stems and one is tight and one is loose just like yours.... hmmmm... i just noticed it last night.

Has anybody thought of a good protective case idea for the straight glass stem? I'm going to go shopping today at a rite aid or something, looking for something I can turn into a pocket case that will protect it, maybe put some padding inside it. I'll post here if I find something that works really well.

^^^^^^ The silicone ring on top of the heating chamber will prevent cold air when drawing from cooling the top of the heating chamber, translating in a more efficient heating chamber and no need to stir or turn around weed. Plus, your stem, if silicone ring ID cut enough tight and close to stem, this wouldn't spin around of fall down when Solo is turned around.

^^^^^^ The SS domed screen fitted in the Solo heating chamber, besides providing a layer in between the weed and the SS chamber, so it doesn't over-vape or taste like too harsh, I think it provides an extra boost in heat retention or extra temperature maybe?????
