I didn't do that one boobs, but i will admit to cloudnation that I got so vaked:science: off this baby the first night that I put the elb in the cloud without the top and blasted the whole bowl of herb into my stereo matrix perc!!!!:doh:

the girlfriend was nice enough to clean it out for me :D

I personally don't find the stereo matrix to lose much taste at all tbh. I've smoked lots of different oils out of it as well and everything tastes just as good to me as it does out of my sheldon black beaker bottom with no diffusion but the downstem.

You will be very happy with your stereo matrix my friend! Congrats on grabbing it!

I bought an Ion Matrix Bubbler a few weeks back from my LHS. I've never hit anything like it. After using it I HAD to get a Stereo Tube.



Does anyone else vape through warm/hot water?
One of my favorite things to do is get my bub nice and clean then rinse with hot water so the glass is nice and warm. I fill the chamber with warm water and let the SSV do its thing. I could be crazy but the flavor seems to be a bit intensified and the warm vapor is very soothing on the lungs.

I'm not sure how this would work for the Cloud though...

That's kind of odd, especially where other members have been receiving emails, such as arf777 who preordered in Feb. 2011.

And yes, the videos are great! I'm starting to get really anxious!

I placed my order on Friday afternoon for a hydracirc after receiving my e-mail. I think I pre-ordered around february/march 2011. Have people that ordered in this same wave already had their unit shipped?

I thought they were sending out invites regardless of what tube you ordered allowing you to choose whatever available tubes were available at the time. Is this not what's going on? I also ordered a vertigo but would prefer a in house since there is the recessed joint and no blatant logo that I can see.

that is my understanding too, but I think the other train of thought is that they might have allowed the vertigo pre orders to continue ahead because there were no sgw at the time to supply with clouds.

the current setup is that when your time to order comes up, you get to choose whatever package you would like from what is available. you don't have to stick with your first choice and if you ordered a vertigo you should be able to get a hydracirc if you prefer.

Can anyone comment on the smell level generated with this thing?

I currently use an iolite almost exclusively which certainly seems to disapate quickly which is ideal for my situation. Perhaps its more of a vapor vs smoke thing but any observations would be cool...

some people don't like the new decals. some people don't like the exposed joint. IMO there is nothing wrong with vertigo. no drag nice bubbles clears easily but that is my experience. I have never used the other two ht's. I find myself using my 18" stemless more than the vertigo but that is why I bought the cloud in the first place. I was even thinking about selling the vertigo before I actually tried it. Now I don't know I just might keep it. my:2c:

I woulnd't say that. it's all your preference.

from what i have seen and read where are my thoughts.(from someone who has used neither to date mind you.)

virtigo:
-more of a fizz style percolation
- taller with one diameter along the whole tube
-has ice pinches
-thinner glass 4mm
-needs to be level and the later level most be somewhat careful not to overfill it, as backflow is a possibility
-when too full. (that would be a very bad thing) :(
-has an exposed gong connection that protrudes from the bottom
-the label on the new ones are flaking off easily.
-by the nature of the perc design it's more delicate and fragile


Hydracirc:
-more of a glug sound when it goes.
-shorter with a wider bottom and a more narrow neck. (similar to the SG piece)
-thicker glass 5mm
-no ice pinches
-seems to have slight quality issues (some leak due to grinding the slits a little too deep)
-somewhat sloppy construction ( scratches in the glass upon arrival and or a leaning showerdome [the circ... w/e you want to call it]. this does not hurt function and as i hear people say it's only cosmetic. functionaly it's great!
-no label

personally im going with the hydracirc when my time comes, and im going to pray it's not a leaker upon arrival!

I *just* received my email on April 13th. I had preordered on November 24th, 2010. I managed to order the Vertigo tube, which still looks rather fun and now I'm order #281.

It *would* figure that the package arrives this week when I have to fly out for a business meeting. Another few days of waiting won't kill me, I suppose! :X

Based upon what I read in this thread, it looks like originally that preorders were going out based upon which tube you had selected and availability, so it wound up shuffling some of us around. I'd be keeping an eye out on your email, I imagine you're about to get one sometime this month.

IIRC this came question up before and there were at least several replies; I don't remember if in this or the previous thread. My Cloud gives off negligible odor, probably what I smell by far the most is my own exhale because the vapor itself is entirely enclosed - it moves from the ELB into the HT into my lungs. Would someone in the same room smell it? Probably. In the next room? Probably not. But obviously this depends upon the nose, how big a session/how much vapor exhaled, the herb, the distance, and what if anything is in-between. For someone in a high risk situation, a closed door with towel at the bottom or an open window or a Smoke Buddy would probably add plenty enough insurance.

However, there is not even a remote comparison to smoking, where combustion gives off a lot more gases into the air and the bowl is exposed (or, worse yet, smoking a joint which also burns the paper).

Wow... so I got up this morning and my hydracirc left a puddle on my dresser. I guess that means my leaning tower is more than cosmetic. I really am bummed about it. I totally would have been fine with it leaning, but if it is leaking then I guess it needs to go back... :(

damn dude! so that's another defective tube. :( bad luck. thanks for reporting it to us man. I know VXL will take care of you. I pray when i eventually get mine it's not defective too! Ioright had a similar issue and said he hits his cloud dry for now, and it's still good! i'd do the same if it happend to me too. :)

personally i'd rather the tube the the item with the defects instead of the other option (the cloud itself)! I just don't have any adapters to be able to get it working on anything else in the mean time if i do get a bad tube.

I should get an 18 to 14mm adapter it seems :p
