It could of but to be honest I am still using the cloud. Only once with a friend right when we put the ELB in and turned the unit upside down, vapor was coming out of the bottom, it didn't really smell like weed. I think it could of been trace ISO left on ELB. I know it could be unsafe to use the cloud because of this, but the vapor is as pure as ever taste wise. I am not so concerned because this smell only comes when an ELB is in, it could be the particles on the outside of the ELB burning. I'm gonna clean it and put it to the test today. I'm concerned the heating cover moving down can happen with any cloud, I hope not.

Nosferatu - there is a little play when it comes the the glass. We tighten it down quite a bit but there is still just a little play which is causing the glass to slide up and down. If it happens to me, I gently pull it back up. Usually it gets pushed down if someone is using too much force when putting the HydraTube on top so just let people know not to press down too hard on it. Just let the weight of the HydraTube sit on the Cloud. If it becomes too loose, just file a support ticket and we'll take care of you.

I have a strong hunch that something got into the glass tube which was causing that smoke/vapor/smell. If you decide to swab the glass with iso/water, make sure it has cooled down before you do so. After you swab it, I would turn the machine on and make sure that everything has evaporated. If the taste is fine, then I feel rather confident that none of the contaminants are getting into your lungs. Keep an eye on it and let us know if anything needs addition service.

As Jackstraw said - I would always sandwich concentrates within a bed of herb so that there is less leakage into the inner tube.

Sorry to ask this of some of you again - those of you who got your Cloud most recently (espec. with Vertigo HT) , when did you pre-order? Many of us trying to guestimate when we need to be ready with $$$. I keep having car and family emergencies eat into my Cloud fund. And may dig into it a bit for taxes - if you forgot (like I did), they're not due (in the U.S.) until the 17th this year because of a DC local holiday.

I know the VXL folks got a bunch of Vertigo packages out while waiting for the circs, and then they got more circs/domes and went back and did those, which makes sense. Last I could find, a Vertigo package for a January 2011 pre-order seemed to go out right before the circs started shipping. I'm guessing they're doing all of the 2010 circ/showerdome pre-orders before they get back to other Vertigo orders. I pre-ordered in February 2011. Main thing I need to decide, my 4th or 5th VHW heater cover broke, wondering if its worth replacing again or if I should just wait for my Cloud.

On a different topic - did anyone note which payment methods are available when ordering? I assume Visa and MC. But how about Amex or Discover?

can i stick my male joint in there?
i found that bending the elb top just a little really helped me get a better grip on it with my finger nails.

Thanks for the help. So pushing this thing back up every now and then wont cause any damage within? If so I don't think I need to send my cloud in. One thing I noticed is when my lights start to blink for it to turn off, they go forever it seems. How long untill the unit shuts itself off completely?

The auto shutoff will go on until the user switches it off, but no heating is going on inside the unit during the auto-shutoff alert behavior. Hope this clears that up.

I think the blinking light goes on until the unit is shut off.

@arf777. For me personally the vhw is obsolete with a working vxc. But, it never hurts to have a top knotch backup, and IMO with vhw bro pricing for repeat customers, it is well worth it to have if your vxc ever falls off a table, or has a warranty issue or something

I see bits of abv all around where it says HOT. That must smell up the room no? And how do you clean it out of the unit itself if it falls in?

To add to my above post, you could just get a backup vxc like I'm going to do sometime soon.

@vape4life. I assume abv on the top was spilled by the user. As far as cleaning, its just a long glass tube. Pipe cleaners, qtips, and iso should cover about all cleaning senarios.

Man UPS always comes to my neighborhood so late...

out for delivery since 7:00. freaking out! :whoa:
----

Edit:
Well it arrived and looks beautiful! The Hydracirc is a great looking tube, got the cloud heating up right now!

Unfortunately though when I put water in the Hydracirc the gong joint seems to have a very very large leak through the bottom of the perc/joint. Put in my warranty registration because I really don't think I'll wanna try to use it...the water completely drains from above the slits and down past them below the seal on the GonG joint so it cannot function at all. I'll take a video soon after I take the cloud for a test drive.

Edit:

-- Just gave them a call using the number on the website, really nice guy answered and got me squared away so I'm sure I'll get a replacement soon enough.

Just took one rip from my stereo matrix and wow :) best vapor rip I can say I've ever had.

I did notice that if you place the cloud screw-side in, rather than logo-side in, you will be able to fit it on more stemless pieces...it won't fit if I try to put the logo towards the piece because that side is slightly longer, but the screw side makes it fit snugly with a nice .5-1 cm gap. (Mobius Stemless Stereo Matrix 65mm tube)

Sorry about your HydraCirc, please fill out a support ticket. Some of the HydraCircs have the slits cut just a tad too deep. Those passed a visual inspection but unfortunately, we would have had to fill those up with water to see that leak. We have let TAFKAGM know about this and to be a bit more careful when making the slits. Hopefully, you have another water pipe you can try the Cloud out with in the meantime.

Had a little free time after work today to do another test with my trusty Cloud! :clap:This time with dry HT!! Man, was that amazing! When the tube clears, it is silent and the volume of vapor (due to less drag methinks) is just super stoned-ulating!!! :p I am gonna call these "whistle hits" from now on...:dog:
Here is a family pic from a few days ago...

here are a couple of hydro circ videos that i did with other vapes but i guess should belong here too.
Wow b00bs, looks like you can have the water level super high on the HydraCirc without any drainage issues. Do we know if this is this the same case with the SGW Showerdome?

And in comparison, the vertigo HydraTree is much more sensitive to water levels right? Where filling it up too high can cause drainage?

I definitely like the option to be able to fill the water up higher for a bit more diffusion in situations where you're cranking up the heat.

I am hoping that all of these minor issues people have been having don't hinder the distribution of the cloud experience. I am more excited than ever to try this product based simply on the fact that the taste seems second to none as other members have described. Also, I am very intriguied by the color of the clouds at lower temp; Blue. It looks mystical! :o
