My ceramic has only flaked a little bit (not really enough to be too concerned about honestly), but the bigger issue is the high pitched whining sound when heating up. I hadn't really diagnosed this issue before, but it is definitely there when heating up and is VERY annoying. Does this qualify for a warranty replacement?

thanks for your storey...good to know m102 is still going. Because the high pitch sound happens on other units and doesn't affect function, i'm not sure it would be covered. My Solo has a clicking/ticking sound when heating which isn't normal so i'm sending it in.

Hola :)

to @Pappy
to @Stonemonkey55
to @FrederickMcGuire
and many more educated glass lovers ( I know there are many out there, sorry if I miss someone, don't be offended, but those are the usual heavy Glass porn stalkers and buyers :) , I'm open to all kind of opinions and suggestions

I'm trying to buy an specific glass set-up for my M-106 Solo.(my only/lonely beloved vaporizer)
I've seen that bubblers are getting all the must-have-get it now!!! on them. But I'm a little concerned about some bubblers being to much for the little Solo. So far so good the Solo, actually I can't handle it anymore without my old bong( a Bong Vodka bottle modified after enjoying the content :) hic), even without slits and extras works well.
But after seeing the FC Glass forum and the Glass porn, I'm getting a Glass hard on.
Outdoors
*I'd prefer as much portable as possible, I'm a really big fan of dog walks to the park( my park is pretty mellow and I think I can hide a little piece :)
Home
*For a home unit needs to be as portable as possible as well, I'm constantly changing vaping sites and hideouts(in-laws :) and as small as possible(same reasons)

*I really liked the ones SM55 likes, some that are interchangeable and modular, ashcatchers and ?????

Any help would be really appreciated, thanks in advance and have a nice day

Haha, thanks for giving me the same cred as SM & Pappy
It all depends on your budget.
One of the best budget options is an EHLE 100ml or 250ml.
They are both nice and small, and easily moved from hideout to hideout (I can pocket the 100ml).
I've never really thought about glass for outdoor use, but the aquavape sounds like it could work.

So, any differences between an the m106 and m107? I bought what was advertised as the "latest model" on amazon and they are sending an m106. I can refuse the package and get a refund once amazon receives the return package, but is there any reason to pick a m107 over an m106?

I am fairly set on buying the Arizer Solo as my first vape.. But I noticed that there are several versions of it out there.

Which version is the best? Usually older would mean worse, but the older ones have a ceramic heating element, which I have heard is more desireable.

I was browsing Amazon.com, and it seems there are several listings of it. The ASIN number sort of eludes to what version it is, like B005CXAJHY would be version 5.. tough to say though. I have credit towards amazon so it would be nice to get it from there, but it's not completely necessary.

Thanks!

I sent a message to the supplier of Arizer Solos on Amazon, will post what version they're shipping when they reply

For next time please just use the Arizer Solo thread for questions like these.

Latest models m106 and m107 are supposed to be the safest choices atm. The m105 is the coolest running Solo of the bunch, so I'd avoid that one unless you are a low temp vaporist.

Heating element is the same on all models as far as I know. The older models (pre m105) just have a ceramic coating on the inside of the chamber where you put the herbs, but Arizer stopped applying the ceramic coating because it would flake off eventually.

The number you posted doesn't mean anything to me, sorry. All model numbers we use here to discuss the Solo start with 'M10'.

No, now go ahead and open your box.

If you are a low temp vaporist, I can't see you going past 2 or 3, so it wouldn't really matter...
The temp difference really is minor between my 2 solos.
My m105 runs 1 number cooler than my m102.

My m102 got my ABV slightly darker on 5 than my m105 on setting 7. I usually start a bowl at 4 or 5 and end at 7, so to me it mattered a lot since those two extra levels give me approximately 5 or 6 more hits per bowl. Since the OP has no way of knowing what kind of vaporist he is or will be it's still his safest bet to avoid the m105.

I have an M106 too and can say I am nothing but pleased...

and just for the sake of it, no noises from my m106 what so ever...

I prefer packing it lightly, have noticed on my unit that when packed denser the AVB comes out very unevenly brown, and I have a feeling it reduced the airflow as well. My favorite thing to do is pack about .1g and then vape it. I prefer this over .15 or .2g because I can get more flavourfull hits. I mean, when packed fully I can take more hits, but of lesser taste quality...Hope this makes sense

Ahh, that's a bigger difference than I have between mine, I thought most m105's were more like mine, my bad. (maybe my m105 was from later in the batch and was tweaked a bit?)
I also want to clarify that I completely agree with your post, an m106 or 107 should be great, its just the thought (and i know its not exactly what you meant) of any model solo on 7 being for a low temp vaporist made me

Just got a Solo (M107) from Vapornation about 10 days ago, and I'm pretty sure the battery is already dead. It appears to charge completely, but I can only get about 60 secs at 4 before both the heat and charge lights start flashing, and the unit drops to 1. Otherwise, I'm happy with the unit.I've contacted VN and they told me to send it back.

Got a "new" Solo as a replacement for the defective one. It's an M106, so I'm not sure what to think about that. Seems to work fine, maybe runs a little hotter than the other one.

Oh yeah, and I agree just like I already stated in my first post that it's no problem at all if you're a low temp vaporist, I just wanted to add that ^^ to your reply too.

And I have the same thing as you but the other way around; it's hard for me to imagine anyone can just vape their weed only up to the point you get with setting 3 or 4. Not only does it seem like a total waste to me, but no way I would ever be satisfied without some of those higher temp goodies at least

I had one of the later batches of m105s myself btw. Unlike some earlier m105s it already had the ring that holds the stem tighter, like you find in the m106 and m107. Well, I actually had two of those, but I only used one of them because the other one stank to much for me to bear.

Thanks for the advice! I contacted the Amazon seller that seems to sell all of the Solos, and they said they sell the 106 model. Not the newest, but will work for me. Thanks!
