Nothing like a cuppa joe and a few Persei clouds to start Opening Day. Going to test the stealth at Chase Field tonight, wish me luck!

Another idea for the Voltage Top is:

'The Socket'

sock·et (skt)
n.
1. An opening or a cavity into which an inserted part is designed to fit: a light-bulb socket.
2. Anatomy
a. The concave part of a joint that receives the end of a bone.
b. A hollow or concavity into which a part, such as the eye, fits.
tr.v. sock·et·ed, sock·et·ing, sock·ets
To furnish with or insert into a socket.

We have the Hammer, and the nail.

I would like to tell you all about my "Cart Roundup"
I had a holder that housed about a half dozen slow drawing, gummed up 2.4 carts, that had given their share of service to God, country and Vito.
I decided to have a roundup, of all carts in the house, and to re-designate them to "the next stop" in a carts life.
I lined up the 2.4s for testing... and those that hit easily and well went into the row of "UP AT BAT" carts for later today.
The clogged carts went into the line for the "FRIDAY CART FRY"!
This entailed putting each cart onto the Persei at 7+volts..
Yes I took my hits fast...
No I did not fry any of the 2.4 carts!
The trick was to keep air flowing and not depress the button for long.
Long enough to clear the clog, vape the remaining oils, and move on!
I even was able to place a couple of the "overamped' carts I just cleared in the row of "Up at Bat" carts!
I am not saying that you should risk your oils by refilling carts all of the time.. but, I make my own, so I sometimes take that risk.
If you have a light touch, you can clear out your 2.4s with a 7V blast..

My reward for vaping all of my clogged 2.4 carts at 7V was some of the most monsterous hits I have gotten to date!

vito thats a great idea if you have a higher voltage device  if you dont have a higher volt device, ive had luck with just gently using a bic lighter, throw on a mouthpiece and slowly pull while its warm and keep hitting it with the lighter gently and slowly pull the clog thru.... slow n steady wins the race when it comes to the omicron....

I've had luck clearing clogs with a car cigarette lighter. I just touch the entire top rim of the cart to the lighter for about 20 seconds then I attach a mouthpiece and draw.

This weekend I'll be doing what DubCRider and Vito have been doing - burning 2.4 ohm carts on 7.4v! I have two old ones that have about 0.15 g each.

I've actually been doing the same. The hits from 7.4w and the 2.4ohm carts are hot and heavy. I don't go over 2 seconds on at a time this way. Lost my first 2.4 to this method last night, had a few rookies going for big clouds. Oh well, it was a good time, plus I got to show them a reclaim/refill in action afterwards.

This is for sure a crowd pleaser. Losing the occasional cart sucks, but I know what I'm getting into when I do it. Worth it every now and then, IMO. Planetvape will be receiving an order as soon as I get home. Combi-Pak, engage!

I find that a small piece of clear tubing works great for instructional purposes. Great to visualize how airflow affects density, and they are able to get exactly as much vape as they want.

What if you give the LCD top a guy's name like The Reggie or The Jimmy?

Here's a question about The Jimmy, will it measure how much juice is left in the battery? Will it be able to tell me if the batts are at 8.4v charge, for example?
One more question about the The Jimmy top... (Jimmy Cap?)
Will we need to hold the button down for a hit like the regular Persei top or will it be like the Hammer's top where you can click it on?

OK disagree with me, I can't force you to be right

Lots of people mention clogs. I get regular clogging but they they never get me down, and i dont use any tools. My solution to clogging both for my v1 omicron, and now the persei, is to put a little bit of sucktion on the mouthpiece, then seal it with my tounge. In 5-60s with no heat mine always clear out, with a ball of oil at the top of the air tube. Its not always perfectly cleared this way, but more than enough to start smoking again. The only thing to watch for is if you have an oil that solidifys quickly you may need to heat the top of the cartidge once in awhile to get the oils pulled up to the top melted back down to the heater.

I have a bit of clear tube on all my portable vape carts, omi/rev/dart I really like seeing the vapor so you know you are getting a good one.

While back someone brought up a eye dropper(glass) slid through a slightly modified silcone mouth piece. Ive been using it ever since when at home. Also fits right to the o-ring on Incredibowl m420.

now that WAS me! (in an earlier conversation we had you credited me for discovering the V2 top issue.) right after someone posted about MFLB stems. comes round full circle ;)

Wowza, and that contraption is intense. That way you can fill the incredibowl as much as wanted and then clear. Good thoughts. Especially for people who like to pull hard. But the silicone isnt much better than plastic, depending on how hot the piece gets.

The FUMO Pipe makes extended tubes that fit the m420 perfect. 6", 9", & 12" I think. I have a 9" that I connect to the M420's tube w/the rubber gromet. Also, Fumo tubes are flared at the mouth, so no rubber is needed. Check it out.
A glass eye dropper may fit the o-ring better, I dunno though. I hardly nerd any pressure to create a seal.

actually the silicone works as a great heat shield, and with the glass in the middle, it doesn't really even enter into the airflow scenario. i always leave a mil on the inside so that the dropper fits inside, while the silicone is outside.

This unclogging method works perfect!!!!
I was only using the single top all along. I had tried the double top with the aluminum mouthpieces but didn't like the seal.
With the rubber mouthpieces and this unclogging technique the double top works perfect.
I liked the persei with the single top but it's a whole new animal with this double top!!
I've been using two 3ohm carts with the 6.0v battery set up and three or four second hits are awesome!!!
(carts probably won't last too long at this voltage tho)

3 ohms at 6v is perfect. you shouldn't burn those carts out too fast with 3-4 sec. bursts. i use a 2.4 w/ 2 sec. bursts and i haven't burnt it out yet!
