A lot of the shops up here don't carry anything but the 2.4 ohm carts yet... it would be nice if someone prodded them along since they buy in bulk and have good prices

guess ill place my order online for now. im just starting to see more stores caring the device, so surely soon, it'll catch on!

Never seen one, but yes I believe so. I've tried it on two different 510 chargers, it works fine. BTW the same adapter from One Love sells for two bucks at a local dispensary, seems they want you to use their $60 PG based 510 thread carts on your Omicron power supply. How many wanna rush out for that one? Please show with a sign of hands.......

To tell a fun story (at least fun to me) a friend and I were driving up the Alaska Highway a lot of years ago. We stopped in a place called Watson Lake Yukon Territory, a wide spot on 1500 miles of gravel road, for lunch an a beer or two. It was a slow weekday afternoon, so we got to chatting with the bartender in the pub. He told us the Friday night before when the joint was in full swing (not much to do on Friday night if you don't want to drive 150 miles to the next town for a drink) when a pair of 'unescorted women' entered by their dedicated entrance and sat down for a beer to the delight of all. A few minutes later, one of them puts some change in the juke box, punches a few buttons and she and her friend start dancing together. A slow dance starts, things heat up, suddenly one plants one on the other. Moments later buttons are being undone, skin exposed and interests focused. The music ends, they're standing there half dressed with maybe 50 crusty backwoods types drooling....with a giggle they grab their clothes off the floor and make it out the door. Guys busted out laughing and full of 'did you see that?', 'which did you like better?' and so on.

Then somebody noticed both tills open and empty.

The cops came and nobody, but nobody could describe the women, let alone who crept in and got the bucks (everyone else was locals). They could describe their underwear (maybe even a birthmark here or there) but noting of any use to the authorities. We stopped by two weeks or so later on the way back, still no clues but lots of speculation.......

Danm i swear i heard many variations of this story. But i get what your saying. Trust me this was done not for me, but for mary jane smokewear. These units where donated to help Eddy lepp out. They did this for the auction and other events they are doing, I am just admiring the model and thought hey why not let friends admire it.

He gently pried a bit on the side of it (more wiggling it around than prying it up) and that did the trick. I just broke charger #2 and have the adapters for 510. Anyone have a recommendation on a good charger?

Elemental is out of adapters currently and I can't imagine paying $60 for a PG cart from them when I can by 1.5G of some great lab tested wax for the same price..

Anyone else excited about their TrueOG wax coming out on Easter. I luv their True OG flower, as an OG lover, its a Top 3 favorite with along Fire OG and Ken's OG.

The idea with the adapter suggestion is the weak spot (the connector getting gummy with oil and pulling free) isn't in play, no oil get that far and it stays connected 'for ever'. The adapter pin can take the abuse as it's held in better. I think most any charger will work and should last fine.

Watch for the adapters, that stuff changes fast with them. They were out last week, but then had stock for a few days, now out again. TV, THC and others still have them of course, but two bucks....

Yes, I saw that wax....and I already love True OG as well. I won't be able to resist driving down I fear.

@rufrothy: Go down the street to harborside SJ - they have the $2 onelove adapters in stock. I used a standard 510 charger to charge my omi batt this way. I just picked up two of these on sunday so I'm pretty sure they still have them in stock.

And, I've said this before, and I'll say it again: if you're going to elemental for your omi supplies, you are overpaying!

Elemental: 1 cart - $12, 5 carts - $60
Harborside: 1 cart - $7, 5 carts - $32


Haven't gone back to elemental aside from going for the occasional good/rare wax here and there.

Greetings THC, catching back up. Have had my Omicron v1 for a few months and find myself using it less and less because of clogging issues and I just find the sessions are "hit n miss" so to speak. Sometimes everything works well, sometimes I just get a few small hits and find myself slightly frustrated, put it away and fire up my Buddha. I wouldn't say I'm disappointed with the Omicron but my version and results make me feel I have a product which was a work-in-progress, not quite ready for prime time.

So, I received an email from Planet Vape telling me I could order the v2 at a discount but still have to spend $75. I'm not sure that's a good deal because my v1 would presumably be shelved which means I essentially have $275 invested(bought the double kit initially at $199). As of right now I have never needed the second of my two v1s so yeah, I spent money on a double kit I didn't really need.

The new v2 has some nice features like replaceable batteries(no big deal) and no 7 second shut off. But other than that, what? Since it's not a complete product yet(doesn't have a nail cartridge, flower cart etc) and will eventually take a larger battery and perhaps some new carts the v2 essentially only a starter kit that will require more spending down the road for innovations. I could have $400 invested in this thing before too long.

I wish there were a deal on the Persei for people like me that have already spent a lot of money because at this point I'm just not sure the Omicron is anything but a money pit. As far as I can tell carts on all products are still prone to annoying clogs and leaks so.... Just not sure where to go from here or if I even want to stay on board. Maybe I should just live with the v1 and call it a day?

@virginharvester: totally understand your frustrations, that's how I felt with the omicron v1 as well. The v2 though, without the 7 sec cutoff, makes it a LOT easier to get clouds. But I think what helped even more, was the 1.5ohm carts. So far, they seem much more clog resistant, none have leaked on me at all (even after overheating one accidentally.. they take quite a beating!). THe 1.5s also produce massive clouds compared to the standard 2.4ohm ones.

So, my suggestion would be to maybe try the 1.5ohm carts in your existing omicron, and that might help you decide whether the v2 upgrade is worthwhile? As for me, I love the v2 and don't even see a need to upgrade to 7.4V down the line.. with the 1.5ohm carts it is producing clouds about 80% as good as the persei did @ 4ohm carts on 7.4V.. hope that helps.

If anything, after all my dealings with various vape manufacturers, thc sci stands out as one of the best customer services out there. If i had to gamble on an unknown product thc sci would be my first choice (oh thermovape is also just as awesome!)

So I bought 5 carts with my Omi v1 doublt kit. They must be 2.4s. What's the difference, I thought going higher in ohms provides the bigger clouds? Why a 1.5ohm cart better?

For sure, a good idea, but that means I have to order a 1.5, try with my v1, then if I like, order the v2 upgrade. That's $100 right there and still leaves me with two v1s in a drawer collecting dust- wasted money really.

I'm wondering if Persei is the answer except for the crazy warning I see printed that it will leak if you miss use it, clog if you overuse it, break if you don't know how to use it. ???

Definitely appreciate the advice but to be honest am wondering if, since THC is introducing improvements to the v2 eventually that would require more $$$ whether $75 after already buying a double of the v1 is a good deal, or just another marketing trap(nothing intended against THC in that comment).

Is the O-PHOS a new cartridge that works with v2 and what does it do?

Well, here's my dilemma: I own the $200 v1 double kit which is slowly losing favor and being used less... If I invest another $75 for the v2 upgrade plus buy a pack of 1.5ohm carts then shelve the v1s because the v2 is better, I have probably over $300 just to have one useful v2- pretty damn expensive.

Maybe I could improve my v1 results quite a bit just upgrading to the 1.5ohm carts and call it a day?

I still have 3 2.4ohm carts which while not useless will also likely never be used if I get a pack of 1.5 carts. If they had a return policy where I could get some credit for the second v1 of my double kit which would let me keep a v1 around as backup it might be a good deal. But buying a third Omicron, even at a discount is not much of a deal.... it helps, but not much of a deal. For those that only purchased a single kit v1, it's a decent offer, but at this point probably not a good offer for me.

After investing $200 in a kit that's almost obsolete four months later $100 to get rolling with the v2 seems pricey.

so you seem to be slightly unclear on a few other details. firstly $75 deal from planetvape voids warranty on v1 and gets you a v2. secondly $45 and send in your v1 set gets you a v2 with delta9
i understand you are unimpressed with v1 and 2.4 ohm carts, but if you read this thread all of your issues are addressed. O-PHOS is a v1 with usb passthrough and no case, basically. i understand you bought the v1 when it was at the top of it's price range and feel ripped off that a year or so later that price is $130 and there are 2 more versions. i personally choose to be impressed at their innovation. there are multiple upgrades coming for persei as well, the hammer, passthru, lcd top, and they all will add to a complete persei cost as well. being the first consumers we pay more, but we also support the innovation. stick w/ the 1.5 for now, but you will soon be impressed.

again, I have the adapter. I am looking for recommendations on a charger. gonna repair both of the broken ones this afternoon but would like to buy something better.
