PD is great for water filtration, no tube is needed: the stems that come with it fit nicely into a 14mm GonG joint.

There's a lot of info in the dedicated Pandora thread on this forum, its not too tough. The hardest part is soldering and thats a very simple and short part of the process.

so the only difference between the original and pandora is assembly? honestly i never soldered anything before, not really thrilled about learning how.

also do both packages come with the same accessories?

SmokingElectricity,

elmomuzz

That just happened...
Soldering is a skill that you will appreciate your entire life. There are many good tutorials on youtube. Get a friend to do it if you must! It's a fun and easy build and you will learn exactly how it works.

I rubbed some of the buzz butter into my other 3 vapes that are also made out of wood. Very nice stuff! The cover on my MFLB slides smooth as silk now.

A can koozie definatly adds more heat. Slipping one on before using gives me much better browning of the herb now. I don't know how many more degrees, maybe 10 or so, but a good solution for now til she's broke in. It really does make a great room air freshener too!

That looks super shiny! Definitely will be entering this thanks ;)

BTW, I seem to have two intermittent chargers (I'm not sure what the vocab. for this is, its been covered on here extensively though, the plug-end seems to be the problem). Went to Radioshack and bought a replacement plug-end (they seemed to have raised their prices on these!), hopefully I'll have it patched it up in no time. Not sure exactly what I'm doing though, I'll do some more research in this thread and on the web...

Hope everybody enjoys guessing how many...

Type M plugs - 2 for $2.99 at the website this afternoon. Usually that's the price of items at the store, but they are a franchise... so who knows, but shouldn't be much more than that. There is no polarity so either side of the wire can go to either prong (solder tabs) on the plug end. just remember to put the barrel over the wire before soldering it together... hehe, I've repaired a lot of musical instrument cables, and once or twice got everything together and noticed the barrel wasn't where it should be...

Purple-Days,
Would be on this contest like white on rice if it weren't for the fact you actually have to mail something. This is an electronic forum, we're all competent with computers... Consider just making it email based next time and not wasting all the paper/money.

Hope to own one of your vapes someday

Did you ever consider that Tom and Pammy really enjoy having picture postcards from all of the country from their current and prospective customers. Being that they are giving something away, there's no reason why they too shouldn't get some enjoyment out of this exercise.

Yup the postcard idea is great to me, much more personal and less anonymity (in an odd but nice way).

I ended up getting the wrong one I think, I was a little overzealous and forgot to bring my fact sheet. I went into RS having remembered I was after 2.1MMx5.5MM Type M...I recalled that the product # started with 274, but didn't see it on the wall. Grabbed this one (below) and inquired about similar products and the woman couldn't help, I should've been tipped off by the color.

Not sure if this one will work but either way I have to get another for the other charger, that 2 pack should do the trick.

BTW not sure what you meant by the barrel but I'll look it up, thanks for the help.

I love the postcard idea too! I'll be sending one out soon! :D

Yup. Typically, Tom will post up some of the cards here for all to see. Some amusing, some interesting and some just downright weird. Lookin' forward to it.

hereatlast : No, that plug end fits the 'strange', Radio Shack concept, modular plug end. Not meant for re-working a bare wire end. Take it back, (you could jake-leg it and make it work but ...) the one I showed you is the right one. The barrel I speak of is the black section that unscrews from the metal plug end. Slide that barrel onto the bare wire and after you make the solder connections slip the barrel back up the wire and screw it onto the plug end covering the connections. Pretty simple once you see one.

charliedontsurf : We have done postcards (we look forward to getting them) and a guess the parts count for every contest. See Rule #9. ;)

ps. for those that don't know what the 'King of the Heap' is, and weren't around for the last Holiday Contest or for our 4-20 Contests. Here is the deal. Whoever has the current closest guess wins something... ie. the very first post card we get will be the current closest guess and will win something. This person may be displaced by a closer guess, who will be the next 'King of the Heap'. And will also be sure of winning something, but also may be knocked off at any time up till the end. So there are more than just one winner. Plus we give liberal 'other un-announced' awards.

Send a card and see if you win.

Although i may be the winner for the most ridiculous over the top guess again, you know for a fact Tom and Pammy you will get a post card from me as always. Very cool contest, and a very cool prize. Thanks as always. Out.

It's nice to see such a capable person keeping up the Eterra tradition. And improving it. I'd be interested to know the PD's makers favorites woods? I live on 5 acres in MN with about half of it in old growth oak trees. I wonder how 500 year old MN hard wood oak would work. I got tons of it for free.

Aah thanks Tom, just had a friend over last night to play guitar (gorgeous Gibson SG on his end, sounded nice on top of my Taylor) and he looked at me like I was crazy when I showed him the (wrong) plug-end I picked up, he's a nanotechnologist (engineer) so I tend to feel stupid around him

Thanks for the tips again, can't wait to enter the contest as well!

BTW, the 2 C-clip trick seems to have been a great solution for a serious rattle, I know the rattle will be ever-present but the extra clip makes it nice and snug.
