Did you just void your warranty by coloring your serial code? Or is it still visible?

Didn't know how safe it was posting serial numbers so i blurred it out in the pic, but it is very visible.

Oh as I look closer I see it is blurred and visible. You can be right that in can be a bit unsafe to post a serial. There could be a very low probability that someone could steal the lifetime warranty sending a foreign serial photo. But imo that couldn't work, people in MF are not stupid and only very precisely made fake claims could pass.

^^^^^Wow thats sick! Look at the likeness in the face. With a sharpie? Im impressed.

I was thinking to get one of them wood burning tools and having my tattoo guy give me a design along the edge of my LB to add a lil uniqueness to it. Seeing thing like this turn out well makes me want to hurry and get it done now.

Photos are beautiful. I see there too much black - you are using battery right? With PA I usualy get more unform browning with no green left. With batteries it need more skill.

I'm using the PA on 60-70% power through a bubbler. I never take my trenches that far usually, but I did in this instance just to see what it looked like. In using the WPA though, I like to go for more visible vapor so I tend to run my box on the hotter side, I usually walk a fine line between browning and blackening. :D

60-70 seems too powerful for me. I know it can vary. My PA doesn't combust on my old box (half-dead, cold) at 45%, and with the new box i need 20%. Try going down. I get tasty vapors even at 0% with the new box. And there is no way to get it very dark, it is low-temp there.

I apologize if this has been asked before.

I bought a magic flight launch box today. I have been using my friends for a while and finally pulled the trigger on my own.

The difference between mine and my friends is that the batteries slide into hers effortlessly whereas with my unit there seems to be a good amount of friction. It's nothing too bad, but it's definitely noticable and takes a bit of wiggling and pressure to get the battery snugly fit in all the way.

Is this just a natural thing that varies from unit to unit or is mine defective?

Thank you

Not to worry. Batteries vary a lot, your batteries might be tight in hers. Some are quite snug, some rattle so badly that you have to push them to one side to make contact. "It's all good" as they say. Use the light as an indicator of good contact.

Your welcome, glad to help, enjoy your box.

Yes, I was reading back through this thread and saw several mentions, apparently I have a slightly larger battery (powerex or something). If I twist the battery ever so slightly as I'm inserting it goes in with minimal effort. It works amazing btw, very glad to own this!

Don't they just? A lot of very clever design and solid engineering went into that simple looking little gadget all right. A lot of 'pride of ownership' for most guys. I have a couple, each with it's own 'personality'.

Great invention. Deserves an Academy Award at least, doncha think?

Good point. Sadly these days it's the exception to what used to be the rule.

All the more reason to celebrate when you find it, I guess. It's only a few employees feeding their families, but I glad it's happening. Light manufacturing in America is on life support for sure.

Seriously! I catch myself a lot looking at my box wondering how the hell they had the idea to come up with something so simple!

So one of my stock batteries can't hold a charge anymore :( I can get like, four "hits" out of it before it's totally dead, while my other one provides enough energy for a dozen. Looking around, I've decided that I want to get some Powerex 2700's. If I'm not mistaken, the stock MFLB charger is a quick charge/trickle type. Would that damage the Powerex's in any way? I don't really want to spend $50 on a charger just for the batteries if I can spend an extra $10 and get the PA.

The charger will be fine for those batteries. Do yourself a real favour and get the PA, though.

I agree with the PA. Very powerful vaping is possible all the way up through combustion so you have to be careful.

It's not that expensive.

Well it's not exactly cheap to my perspective, Vicki. I mean he's gotta 'buy a round for the house' if he wins, right? I'm sure it's in the forum rules. I mean a free PA to every forum member might not be a big deal to a guy who just won the lotto, but to me it's not pocket money.....

Suddenly I hope he wins. Somebody has to, right?
