I do know we were here many years before the PD came out. PD popularized the bag but we originally used and still use a small glass bottle with an opening just big enough to accept the stem tips. Hold fingers around opening to regulate air that needs to come out when blowing ABV into bottle . Simple enough and works very well with no stinky bag.
I really do not think the value of ABV was discovered until what, 5-7 years ago? There was very little talk of ABV in the early vapor days. Very little talk of vapor in the early vapor days.
Thanks for putting a couple more stems on the list Jeppy. I assume you are getting some decent vapor from that Black Locust Zap?
I am still amazed every day how many pulls I can get out of these things. I keep thinking I want to re-fill, then another pull, then off to doing something else with no re-fill.
We have been taking some time off for things non-Zapville the last few days. Fun. Spring break and another big farm chore getting done this week.
Thanks to all for helping to keep us alive on this forum. We appreciate that, especially when I stay away from Zapville at times.

My less than a week old black locust CRZ is also doing quite well. I've been reading up on grinding and vapor pulling techniques but still have a little problem with the draw. Still seems a little restrictive but it is getting better every session. I am confident that with additional experimentation I will get the technique down. I am currently loading only half a stem. Best advice so far has been Rick's comment about sipping rather than pulling too hard.
I will eventually try a coozie to see how it performs at slightly higher temperatures.

Try cinnamon sometime, that is our favorite. The house smells like warm cinnamon rolls all day!

I have orange, pine needle, sage, lavender, cinnamon, and peppermint so far. I think the sage and the peppermint are my favorites, but they all have their place. The pine needle smells just like a pine forest in your living room. With the sage, I feel like I am back on the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation in Montana. My wife didn't like the cinnamon, surprisingly enough. She thought it was too overpowering. I dug it, though. It's a really cool little extra feature of this vape. I almost want a second one just so I can vape and aromazap at the same time.

and I've found them to be good quality and not expensive.
For essential oil aromatherapy I generally prefer to use, rather than a vaporizer, a ceramic tea light holder - something like this.
With a bit of distilled water, a few drops of your preferred oil and either a soy or beeswax tea light candle, it's a really nice enhancement to the vaping experience in my opinion.

I agree! I love the look of all of the redwood ones. And that new Ambrosia Maple is awesome. My wife agrees with mom about the box elder.

I avoid paraffin candles; those are the regular candles you see everywhere, tea lights or otherwise. It's actually petroleum waste and very toxic on its own but more chemicals to make them shiny and colorful then are added. Natural unscented soy and also beeswax are very good alternatives, with a cotton wick.

The first jar of oil I bought was some sweet orange @ a local health food store. It explicitly said 100% essential, pure, and even said to avoid skin contact (which it wouldn't say if it was dissolved in a carrier oil...i thought)
But when this stuff is done diffusing, there is a thick oily layer left at the bottom of the copper cup. Very hard to clean out and it still smells strongly like orange many weeks later (when I finished the bottle I just let it dry so its still in there)
1. Are the truly 100% pure essential oils supposed to evaporate completely? Or is this normal?
2. If its not normal, what would be the best way to clean it out? let it heat up and then just swab it with Q-tips?
Either way, done with the health food store (the bottles were dusty anyway) so I picked up an ounce of thyme, sage, pine & cinnamon from The Organic Witch (thanks jeffp

I've been using 100% oils and have found the same - a thick black tar like substance on the base after a while. I've had this with all of the 100% essentials I've tried - some from very reputable places, so I guess it's a standard issue. I clean the cup with an overnight ISO soak and it works fine.

That's why jeffp mentioned using distilled water and a few drops of oil. In this fashion, you don't let the oil get so hot (<100C), so you get all the aroma out and then trash the water and the remaining oil without boiling away all of the thinner oils and leaving the heavier tars behind.
You also use way less oil so if you forget and let the water boil away, then there's just a tiny bit of tar left to scrape out.
Or you can bop on down to the craft store and pick up some beeswax for candles and a roll of wick and make your own aroma candles, which work great and are fun to make if you have kids.
