. . . I've never had a high end glass piece with trees or other diffusion devices so now I have glass envy and am wondering what would be an additional good piece of glass?? Stonemonkey stated earlier that ice was not that important in smoothness that a 2 chamber design was so on the top end maybe a Mobius clear nano with matrix perk $390) ? of ion bubbler (but this only has one chamber) or a beaker design with a tree or two? like a HVY 8 arm ($260.) or I found a beaker style with 2 x 4 arm trees ($69) I've searched forums but am undecided.....I would like to keep the height at less than 14 inches or so.... thanks

Just keep in mind that when you jump from 7.5" to 14" you're adding a lot of volume. That, and depending on much additional perc action there is, requires the lung power to go with it.

I made a cloud station yesterday...... bought a 2.5lb weight (with one side flat) at Big 5 and bought 2 3feet long dowels placed some felt furniture sliders on the bottom (nonflat) side cut the dowels into 5 inch pieces placed the dowels (held in place with a rubber band) around the hydratee and then used a glue gun total cost approx $7 turned out great very stable

When you're not medicated, a pic would be terrific! :)

A Question to those lucky few: What where the shipping options and the approximate costs?

shipping options were
ground ($13), 2 day($44), and overnight ($80)

Shipping charges vary depending on your location. UPS uses a zone system. In short, the farther east from CA, the higher the charges.

I'm going to try to keep this gentle, others might not be so inclined . . .

There is a boatload of info about the tubes on this and the preceding thread, a lot in just the last half-dozen pages or so. Essentially you're asking us to repeat what's been repeated many times, and for the pics, to do the searching for you. Might I suggest you invest a bit of time yourself?

For a short answer: All the tubes are HT's, i.e., HydraTubes. What is currently available is the Vertigo, which is a tree, and the VXC in-house called the HydraCirc, which as the name indicates, is a showerdome circ. The SGW brand Showerdome, a circ, will be available in the near future.

Thanks for being gentle(Whatever)

And just so you know I am not a lazy ass..

First I went to the source, Their Website... VERY little Info and No Pics of the different options and the link on their page that says "Information" is broken and dont work

Second I did read about 60% of this thread and did not see any Pics of the two(That I know of)

So its not like I came here and went to page 33 and posted my questions...

Be gentle and be smart...

There are pictures and reviews comparing the hydratubes within the last 5 pages. Good effort.

^ chances are whatever date ups has down for your delivery will be the date you receive it. i've never had an earlier-than-stated delivery from ups.

well on the tracking website it says it is in San Pablo, CA, United States (12:01 AM 3/24). but i requested a status update through sms text and it said it was in Hodgkins, IL as of 3/24 00:02 AM. kinda confused but hopefully it really is in hodgkins and i might even be able to receive my cloud on like wed or even tuesday!

Question.. And I hope I dont get Ripped a new one again...:horse:

So what would be the difference between using motherfuckingice vs. motherfucking ice cold water???

Thanks!

the ice chamber won't hold water, and the water in the bottom chamber would probably warm up after enough vapor passed through it.

Hell.. Did not realize there was a "Ice Chamber" Thanks!

There isn't an ice chamber in the HydraCirc. There is in the SGW Showerdome and Vertigo.

The point of the water is moisturization, the point of the ice, cooling. Ice cold water will add a bit of cooling to the moisturization, but it is not the same as the vapor passing over ice. On the other hand, with ice there is a wee bit of vapor lost to condensation. As sticks indicated, when cold water is used before long the water returns to room temp. The impression I get is that most folks don't use ice, and since the Cloud vapes so well at lower temps, probably even less will want to.

I plan on integrating a home made HT base into my lab refrigerator, probably in the door shelf, and just keep the HT in the fridge. That way it will be cold when I need it and I wont have to mess with ice.

To use ice effectively with the HT's, you need mini cubes. My fridge ice maker doesn't make the biggest cubes I've seen, but only one fits in the Vertigo. Personally, I haven't felt the need for cooler vapor. And judging by the pics posted by sm on page 26, I might well choose the HydraCirc over the SGW.

I would assume if they get to ups before the close of business on Friday it will be transported on the weekend. In my case i chose ground and i was told that it would be shipped on Monday morning and I got it Monday morning at about 10 o'clock. Of course I live in Tahoe and it is not that far from the bay . I had mine for a day by the time I got a tracking number.
