So i have not seen anything about this being done so i wanna share this =D So i have the first gen OMICRON love it and i bought the ATMOS RAW. The atmos i use the pre filled carts and use for public use since it looks just like a e cig and has no smell! The omicrons battery last 200 hits right .... well the atmos last for like 2 days no bullshit!! shit last for long time way past 200 hits so i took the cart for my omicron and tried it on the atmos!!! =D You guessed it it works a lot better since there is no time out, battery last so much longer and remember you wanna let the cart cool down on each hit about 20 seconds!
I wanted to share and maybe no one will care or hate but it is a legit deal and really just a good find

Yes the oil carts work on the atmos and the atmos battery will stay going for like 1 day or more! But that is if you have the atmos and if so just buy the omicron carts and wallah =D Basically longer lasting battery and who don't want that lol i know i do

So, while I don't have the RAW, I do have a couple of the RXs which seem to be the same battery unit. Very much like the original Omicrons I think. It's a 600 mAh battery. The v1.x Omicrons I also have are 900 mAh. Most guys can actually guess which will go longer on a charge from that alone. I did side by side testing at one point, did alternate hits with each (not all that easy to keep two hot and hitting the same level for a session, but all for science you know). No two ways about it, the numbers don't lie, the Atmos sucked hind tit big time. Nearly twice the run time with the Omicron.

FWIW, neither got 200 hits (although the Omicron was closer), but then again maybe I'm taking bigger hits? It's kind of a subjective measure. But side by side hit by hit testing is intended to remove that. I'm pretty confident of my testing.

I received my omicron V2 today and was blown away. Great tool, does what it says and easy to use! The main reason I ordered this was because I was looking for a discrete way to medicate. This is it!

My learning process with vaping vs Smoking. THC vs CBD
Being new to ‘vaporizing,’ I must say I was a bit disappointed to find out that no matter what I loaded in the cartridge (indica or sativa), I was left with a ‘head high’ rather than a ‘body high.’ I felt like I had been launched into orbit. Apparently at ‘vaping’ temperatures, there is not enough heat to convert THC in oils into CBD, resulting in an intake of mostly THC. CBD is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid responsible for creating that relaxing body high which I was looking for.
I’m guessing with the right combination of batteries and cartridge, I might be able to enhance my levels of CBD intake with more heat. As of now, it seems that edibles (especially YAK indica capsules) seem to be the most effective way to obtain a muscle relaxing body high, discretely.

This point shouldn’t be taken lightly, as this method of medical delivery becomes mainstream and accepted, the demand for higher levels of CBD delivery will rise for those patients who benefit from the muscle relaxing properties of CBD+THC.

Feed back is appreciated from experienced users.

I'd guess it's the strain rather than the temperature, paravoz. THC isn't actually converted into CBD during the vaping process, rather CBD is another cannabinoid present in the oil. I'm pretty confident that these vapes run hot enough to vaporize all the cannabinoids present in the oil- otherwise they'd crud up with residue even quicker. It's different with buds where we don't want them to catch a fire, yet have to tread close to that temp to release the CBD without doing so. And the element here glows red when dry- that says to me it's reaching combustion temperatures, although obviously running cooler when wet with oil?

I tend to mostly agree with you, but don't think all is lost yet. First off, I think that (despite the rhetoric to the contrary) this business is driven by recreational not medical users. And who can blame them for wanting to play and be willing to spend their free money to do so? Look in the bud case, THC is widely favored over CBD to the point where CBD is often not even listed.

However, when you can find it, hash made from CBD heavy strains (I'm currently sitting on some Cannatonic bubble hash that does very well in this area for the next 'emergency'), no doubt demand will modify offered supply as it should....with very little help from anyone. FWIW, the word is out, this batch of hash sold out in less than a day, I got talked into leaving the last two grams for the next guy. I hope he uses it to good effect, not getting stupid with his buds.

If someone would make a run of nice BHO or better yet CO2 wax from this, Jamacian Lion or Harliquin I'd make him rich..... And I'm sure I'm not alone.

I've seen a few high CBD oils but not without THC. I have a 8.5% CBD wax sitting here but it also has 73% percent THC and will make your head spin its so potent.

I will promise the OP that the characteristics of indica versus sativa strains come through very well on the omicron. Compare PureGold with my Blueberry C02 (good night's sleep) and the difference is very obvious.

that said even the high CBD strains are still too much for some people I know.

It's comforting to see this patient is being supported by at least one other soul realizing the contrast of

vaporization of sativas vs indicas ~ personally have found proportion of CBD's correlates to quantity of

total THC's ~ IOW ,higher THC's yield higher CBD's (almost always ,sativas vaporize @ lower temps

than indicas) ~ that is all for now

I live in Los Angeles, the SFV to be specific. With the great abundance of bud shops here, one would think more of them would take the initiative to offer lab tested meds with appropriate labeling to avoid the guesswork and provide better service. I commend SPARC for their level of professionalism and detail to packaging. I have yet to find a shop in LA that provides similar attention to detail. Unfortunately, SF is a bit of a drive for me:/ ...

I would also like to thank all of you for your insightful responses. Keep 'em coming.

Ya know, I can't blame a guy for thinking that. But 'the City' and I don't get along. Haven't for a lot of years. Everything there is on steep hills and I generally don't walk all that well. Look at a map some time, the streets make no sense since in Gold Rush times they went around those hills, there are like seven different angle sets, several of which crash where you need it least. I always start out by getting lost, although GPS has probably fixed some of that (getting a clue on how long it might have been since I've more than 'passed through'?). And then there's parking. Well, no, usually there's not (see walking down the street discussion above).

This all adds up to days when I don't really need it being 'too nice to go to San Francisco' on (remember I do have CBD heavy bud and hash to fall back on) and when it's a day I really could use it I'm in no condition to do much about it. I'm afraid, I guess, I'd get hooked on the stuff?

Prolly should give it a try. Next time I have to cross the bridge.....

OF

Edit: You might want to take it kinda slow on the 'melt' Blue Dream. "Full melt" jams carts, "Super melt" does not seem to? Still looks like a deal if you can use it in something. OF

Haha you are spot on about SF, pain in the ass for sure but SPARC is right by the freeway so not as bad as some

Yeah I noticed the absence of "super" as well but 70% just seemed way too high for bubble hash to me...

Folk love or hate it. I grew up here.....

I recall looking it up in some detail a while back. Not only is it in a fairly tame area (for downtown....) but IIRC there's a parking garage a block or two East? Like I said, maybe I'm just afraid I'll wanna go back again and again.....

I lost a cart to some 'full melt' (it actually got a little pasty). Also some $50 taffy recommended for the unit by Harborside.... No big loss (the cart) since the hash melted out easily and worked just fine in the HA. Sticking to high end oils, waxes, shatters and full melts seems to be problem free. But I agree with you, at that concentration and price I'm picking up a handful (if I go there....) for the HA if nothing else.

Thanks for the thoughts.

Just fyi, there is a parking lot behind Sparc. It charges something like $10 per day. Sparc also validates parking from a parking lot one (long) block down the street. Also, if you stop by Sparc during the middle of the day, you can often park at a spot basically right outside on the street, as long as it's before 4PM (I think it's no parking from 4-6PM). Not sure if that changes your mind at all, but I figured you might want to know.

Thanks very much for the first hand information. You're killing all my best excuses. Looks like it's time to make a plan, hit the bank for some cash, screw up my courage and give it a shot. One thing sure, you won't be catching me on the street much past mid day, the 'before four PM' idea is attractive as I'd plan to be long gone before that.

I'll get even with you for that....some how, some time, some where.....

Unless, of course it works out well.

OF, I am the same way. I detest driving to "the city", and I avoid it at all costs. As for the full melts, yeah.. it's interesting that the experience levels of budtenders vary so wildly, because I had a budtender at harborside immediately warn me against using their "full melts" in the omicron as they contain up to 5% plant material and will clog the carts. Told me to stick to supermelts and oils instead.

Did that, and found that supermelts are pretty much a guaranteed omicron success. Their oils, on the other hand, hit consistently and cloudy, but always end up leaking out the bottom when storing overnight. I've found the best is their light colored, swiss-cheese holey supermelts like the blue dream and afgooey.

They also have a purple erkle "glass" shatter, took slightly more priming but hits pretty well. Nothing like a good supermelt, though.

I was in 2 weeks ago when I saw they also had some violet "ultramelt". So there's super melt. wonder what ultra melt is...? Didn't taste like it was CO2-pulled to me..

EDIT: OF, if you are in the south bay (I am in north san jose), I don't often drive up to the city (I avoid it at all costs) but for a fellow patient, it might be worthwhile.. I'll ping you one of these days if I plan a trip up there. We can carpool. :) I have a friend who is already a SPARC member and he keeps bugging me to come visit, so I'll have to cave sooner or later... What I usually prefer to do, if I *have* to go to SF, is to drive myself up to millbrae midday, and hop on the BART to get into SF. That way I can sit on the BART, walk around SF, and puff on my omicron the entire time. :) I need it to mitigate the severe stress reactions I get from driving in SF traffic... ;)

OF, that reminds me. You know how people in SF like to do pub crawls? I say we get a bunch of SJ omi/215 heads together and have a midday SF dispensary crawl.. end it with dinner at one of SF's fine establishments (6 week, bone-in dry aged filet mignon at boboquivari's anyone?)

Well the first bit shows you to be a man of reason and experience.

Actually, I'm East Bay. But you raise an interesting idea. Perhaps you could take Bart up and I can pick you up for a run into the city? You can alternate between navigator, starboard watch and tail gunner. Easier to deal with with a guy to take your six you know. Send me a PM, let's see what comes up?

 tailgunner, that definitely would help deal with SF! I would bring my urine-filled super soakers but I think the hobos of SF have us well covered.

Will PM you in a bit, I have a lot of freedom at my job so I'm up for a midday trip pretty much any time after this week. :) I can bring my turn by turn GPS and such, will be glad to cover gas as well if you make the drive to SF from east bay. :) Cheers!

I picked up a prefilled omicron cartridge with 1g of venom high cbd from a place near by called Mother Natures Remedy. Let me tell you... this is it. This is what I was missing out on. CBD. This is good stuff; this is my medicine. My mind is clear and my body is relaxed.

Only problem: looks like they used an older version cartridge and the venom oil is thinner than wax, causing it to leak. I'm pretty sure if I used the newer cartridge I'd be fine.

My problems have been.... vaporized :brow:

on the other hand... if i were to have say something like a..... Persei; I could put one cartridge High CBD and one cartridge OG wax. This is the ultimate combo IMO for maximum medication.
