Water in your Wand

Has anyone who uses a whip, ever tried putting water in your bowel. Enough to get your materiel's wet. Not so much to a disgusting point where it leaks. Just an eyedrop size amount.

I love vaping wet and fresh weed (if available) and this feels like a nice way to start a bowel, or just get a nice hit from a spent bowl. Especially when it's turned into brown dust and shrunken to 1/3 the loads original size. I know it's gross but that's how I first experimented with this, I tried getting everything from my bowl at the time and this made it easier.

I'm still very amateur to vaping and this is only what I'm doing when I get tired of the same batch just getting drier over time. I just started breaking my bud up by hand, instead of using a grinder and smoking powder, and I really liked the way whole bud vaped in a whip. So I just take my dbv pick and poke little buds apart until I'm pleased and get the dry nug fluffs wet in any way. Caps of water, wet (clean) fingers, droplet bottles, you dig it. Sorry to a modderater if this is something covered in a wands or whips thread, I looked.

since no one else is commenting :p sorry man haven`t tried it, but the idea doesn`t appeal to me either.

I guess i should try it before i deny it... here we go....

ok having tried it. the addition of water did a few things.

- it made the temperature of the hit more noticeable and it does feel fuller, but this is water vapor im inhaling, not true vapor...
- it made my abv clump together and harder to mix or stir up

don`t think i will bother continuing with it for now. thx for sharing your tip though. :p you never know... might have stumbled onto pure genius :p

I thought with the right amount of pot, it made it vape more even. I'm still smoking so maybe I enjoy the water vapor that much. I know it makes it a pain to stir but I've was recently working with wand hash that'd been in this wand for months. I got really used to wet material from scraping pipes years back, so that problem was never too big. My theory with water on your weed is the higher heats with steady air flow help pull the oil's from the plant that much quicker, and releasing more cannabanoids. I'm wouldn't doubt this probably false, but if you're attempting this more than once, you better have backup screens. The hash build up ridiculous.

When you clean your wand just don't really dry it and you get moist hits for a while this way, sometimes like 3 days, then you can clean again. Doing it your way like you said it seems there would be alot of WET flower chilling in there. Anoher way but I know we don't all have this choice, buy fresh moist bud and the moisture lasts through like 5-10 hits.

That what I'm after, my batch is dry and I prefer to add water to it. I also think it helps the vapor absorb into my lungs. I haven't been using a hose so It's easy for me get dry mouth and lung problems from high heats this way.

Why don't you just put your herb in a jar with a cotton ball or two that is wet? just throw 2 cotton balls under a faucet and then throw them on top of the nugs and seal the jar, replace them as needed.

Try setting up some kind of bubbler instead. Also, make sure you weed is clean. A vape might dry out your throat, but not your lungs. Moldy weed, though, that'll mess up your lungs if you vape it. Makes you feel all congested. Not nice.

Or you could get re-hydrating or humidifying discs from a smoke shop or online from a RYO or SYO tobacco site - they're like a buck or two. I've done this with dried tobacco when I was smoking. I used to make my own filtered cigarettes with a crank machine and I would buy bulk tobacco. Gross, I know, but it was cheap and actually higher quality, plus less chemicals and additives. Anyway, the point is, with tobacco, you must use distilled water and I presume that the same holds true with our favorite vegetable if this is what you're after.

Actually I would suggest just using a bong with a little water. It's a much more satisfying vaporizing experience. For a whip vape, 7th Floor sells a great adapter for this purpose, and for a log vape you actually don't need anything but a "mini stem" is an ergonomic improvement. Herb should be dry for optimum vaping, really. The way it's supposed to be done is this:

Dry a bud, grind a bud, vape it. The water should treat the vapor as you inhale - I see that this is what you're after. The bong is really the answer.

right - same reason why the practice of adding an orange peel to a bag of tobacco has been discouraged and why distilled water in little discs are used instead in that world.

Well it wouldn't mold between the time you added it to the ready to use bowl and when you vape it out. But in anything being stored in general mold is the WORST. If I see mold (I haven't in 7+ years) it goes immediately into the trash. No exceptions.

I have a Hot Box vaporizer and in the instruction manual it actually recommends adding a drop of water to "dry" herbs. I really haven't been sure what exactly they meant by "dry" because most of the MJ I've encountered is usually pretty sticky/ moist to begin with so I never thought too much about it. But now that you mentioned it maybe they were actually on to something.

When I've had water in the wand in the past, it has made the vapor production much more inefficient.
