getting licenced in canada

anyone hear know how to go about getting licenced to legally use in canada

it's really hard. what's your medical condition? your family dr can only rx for certain things, but he can send you to a specialist who might be able to help you. be prepared to take a lot of other drugs along the way and good luck!

Yet i'd say that according to the testimonies you'll need to get legally abused before you get legally medicated...

thanks guys i asked my doc about it but he seems to be biased against it. i have a few things it helps me with. im on a disabilty for a disorder that carries some stigma so rather not mention it. but mj really does help me with some aspects of it. but ya i figured it wouldnt be easy i just read there is only like 700 carded people in canada.

We're pretty unlucky in Canada when it comes to medical, the gov takes forever to accept patients and even then, there's only one strain they dispense, it already comes up grinded (which degrades much faster) and it isn't even potent, apparently. Seeing as it's one strain, it can't cover all the medical disorders that MMJ is used for, seeing as some diseases need sativa and some indica. I would recommend growing your own if you do get a license.

I've had an MMAR exemption now for over 2 years for shift work sleep disorder. It started with a trip to my doc, and I tried one or maybe two sleeping pills and then went to see a specialist who supported the medicinal usage and said that nothing else would work for me because they exhausted all other options. Soon after the reform, you won't need to see the specialist...your GP will be able to sign a simple form (if he supports it). Many are against it so yeah unless you have a specialist you're out of luck. Fortunately there is much education starting with the docs so hopefully in the next 2 years the process will become simpler.

There are also a few docs around who will sign your papers for a fee (rather large one I believe), and i've known a few dudes to have received insanely high permits. Regardless, it only lasts for a one year period and you then have to renew it a couple of months before it expires.

You don't have to buy the shit ass radiated ditch weed from flin flon. You can either grow your own or have a designated grower although those options are being eliminated and you will only be able to purchase from approved commercial places like hopefully MedMe (which could potentially be one of the ONLY clubs approved). Awesome buds awesome prices.

I have a 60g/month permit myself, 1/2 of it is medicinal probably but it's nice to have the buffer or for edibles. Should be interesting times ahead with the new reforms forsure. But personally I think it's all for the better.
