Thanks hogleg! And i'm glad you wrote that last statement under the pic because you really need to clean that cap! lol I can see why you really need that o-ring! It's a pretty good idea, but wouldnt it affect airflow or cooling? That's why those holes are in the cap? I'm not sure, but at least now I see how abv is getting in. It's fine if I clean it, and once every few months I think i'll open 'er up and clean properly.

I'm pretty sure all functions like normal the air goes through the cap and down to come up through the bowl my unit works great like this and it would have been 10 times the abv inside if I did not have the o ring. the blowing out of the bowl just blasts all the abv deep into the body

I disagree, how could it blast deep into the body if just a quick blow into the bowl? The only way would be through the tiny 4 holes and I don't think that's possible. How does the airflow stay normal when you essentially block it with the o-ring?

edit: how could you have 10X the abv if you didn't use the o-ring? I'm not sure how you even got THAT much in the cap. Are you loading your bowls too much and not taking them out carefully? I'm only talking about a flake or two here and there, that's it.

Anybody else have their Solo quit taking a charge? I used it yesterday, charged it then unplugged it, then took it with me to brunch. Turned it on and it indicated it needed a charge. Took it home, it's been on the charger for over an hour now, and it's not showing that it's charging. Actually a steady red and green light shows in the charge position. I've only been using it about 3 weeks, and it's a M106.

Ideas? Anyone else have a similar experience?

Thanks,
;-{)

Looks like it's time to contact Arizer for warranty. Then you'll probably get an m107. I've had two m107's and both were flawless.

Already contacted Puff it Up, and Vapornation (where I got the adapter). This is my second Solo to take a dump after running it on the adapter. The first one would charge, it just wouldn't heat up.
Though I really like the Solo, I haven't had a lot of luck. First one (105) died after using the adapter, the second one (also 105) stunk badly, so it went back, too. Now this one (106) won't charge. I've got another 106 that's a replacement still running. :|

You can buy an o ring for a few cents and try or not I needed it to keep my stem from falling out and it has worked out nice also the airflow is fine.

without an o ring when you blow in the bowl to clean it thats what happens. carefully ? maybe I vape a lot more than yourself and hence make a lot more mess

Just got my Solo and had couple questions..

So do all the steams fit lose? For some reason I thought they were a tighter fix... I have to hold them in place or they will easily fall out...

yes its normal. the new series tend to be tighter than the older ones but it wont effect the operation. They used to all be quite loose and there was a retaining ring added on some M106's and later which makes it fit tighter in general.

what model solo do you have?

107

So the Steams just barely fit into the hole? The SS bowl ring stops the glass from going in all the way?

I like it but did not realize I got to hold the steam 100% of the time or risk it falling out... Strange they would not design to steam to fit better...

If it will fall out freely, you didn't fit it in all the way. It takes a bit of manipulation to first get it in, then after a few times it goes in easier. The stem should fit to the bottom of the bowl.

you have it backwards. you stem is so tight its not going all the way in that why you think its loose. surprised your it working at all that way.... it will work way better once you insert the stem fully....

no your stem is tight like its supposed to be..... you are not inserting it all the way.....

dont just jam it in there... it takes a little finesse.

heat the solo up and roll the stem gently like you see in the video below.... about 2:10 into the video

Stuff like this is covered in the vaporpedia entry for the solo in my sig. good place to look if you are a new solo owner.

Whats the difference between carbed and no carb glass adapter?

Hole for airflow like a choke, instead of pulling out the aroma tube or removing the gong from the glass piece. Personally due to ergonomics, i'd say that non-carbed would work better for the solo with various glass pieces? Especially since it's a partial conduction vape you would maybe already want to remove the aroma tube from the solo to clear your glass.
